Lily

“What the heck, stop, no you didn't.” Mia clapped the hand on her mouth as she heard about what happened today .

“ Yes , I did, he deserved it girl.” We both laughed as we talked about the hilarious faces of Mia's parents and Norah.

“I told you about him, I don't know much about his behaviour but everyone says that he is always like this. It's either his way or you know, a straight ticket to hell.” I humped as she said .

“But despite his jerk-like behaviour , you didn't tell me about how handsome and hot he is . He looked like a man straight out of some dark romance book.”

“And what does that mean?” She looked at me with an unclear look of what I just said.

“Oh yeah I forgot that unlike me you are also innocent from mind. Leave it , I can't explain what it means, it's just a feeling.”

Soon after hanging up the call with Mia the house butler called me for dinner .

I went downstairs and guess what I got lost , but it looks like even angels are helping me.

“Ms. Mia, everyone is waiting for you in the dining area.” a maid said

“ Yes I was going there.” I replied and followed her. I have to go through this house area to make sure to not get lost again.

At the dining table everyone was already there and I was the last one to enter . As I sat down , I then noticed the three brothers of Mia being there too talking to Norah .

Two brothers Nick , Dari the twins , as far as I remember they are the same age as Norah and the third brother Gabrielle oldest of all the siblings.

The food got served and everyone started eating. It was super silent when dad broke the silence as he said.

“I know Mia that you are not happy with this marriage arrangement but running away from home was not an option. Do you even know how worried your mother was?”

I stopped eating and looked towards him and said. “ I am sorry dad and mom it will never happen again I was just a little scared.” I said, trying not to stretch the matter more, when Norah started talking.

“We got it Mia that you were scared but do you even know how scared mom and dad was , thinking what if something happened to you?”

Before I could say anything she continued with her third-class acting which is pretty obvious to me , I have seen tons of people like her in my life.

“Mia I know before you returned I was supposed to marry Dante and be his wife. But since you have returned you must not let grandpa and our family down.” Ohhh now I know why she was being extra sweet infront of Dante.

“Don't worry Norah, we will find someone even nicer for you.” Mom said, assuring her.

“It's fine mom you don't have to lie. I am aware that I am not the actual blood of this family and can never marry such a nice and rich man like Dante who can protect me.”she said with a hint of tears in her eyes.

“Don't worry Norah me and Dari will find someone even better for you. Plus Dante doesn't deserve such a sweet and nice girl like you. He is too cold and heartless for someone sweet like you. Right Dari? ” Nick said, joining the conversation.

“Yeah true, you deserve someone nice and sweet who takes care of you.” Dari said as everyone else also agreed and Norah smiled.

I mentally scoffed , this bitch sure knows how to gain sympathy, bad thing for her I hate those who play victim card to get what they want .

But looks like I am not the only one hating her fake acting , gabrielle was also looking at her with the same disgusting face as I was.

Soon after the dinner ended , thank God because if I have to look at norah's bad acting even for a second more the food I ate earlier would demand making a reappearance.

As I opened my room door someone from behind pulled my hair and throwed me in the room locking the door , and guess who it was.

I raised my head only to see Norah with an angry face , this bitch is asking for a beating . I stood up from the floor when that bitch started speaking.

“ You stupid ass bitch , you had one job, only one single job and that was to disappear from our life's. From Dante's life and you can't even do that single job right.”

I tried to control my anger but I had it enough, looking at how this fake bitch is getting all the love and support when she doesn't even deserve it.

When in reality Mia is the one deserving of it. But all she gets is this , her getting treated like a shit.

“And what was that attitude in front of my Dante huh how dare you try to disrespect him?”

As she said that I started laughing like a maniac , which made her more angry.

“Have you finally lost it , do you think it's funny huh?”

“Yeah it is Norah , it is. What delusion made you think that Dante would choose you.” She looked at me in anger as I continued.

“Funny how you think that he is YOURS in any way. Even if I leave this place norah and never look back again. I can still guarantee one thing. Wanna know what?” I asked.

“Oh really and what is that?” She asked with irritation.

“It is that a man like Dante Romano will never in his ten life's will choose someone like you. I believe that man has more of a high standard than you think of Norah. And guess what you are nowhere near it , so keep watering your delusion cause it will never turn into reality.”

She looked at me in a pure shock, unable to utter a single word about what just happened and before she could recover from any of that. I grabbed her hand and threw her out of my room but before closing the door I said .

“And one more thing. Next time, dare to pull my hair and try any stunt with me and I will make sure you wake up with a bald head. The rest is your choice.” And with a sarcastic smile I slammed the door on her face.

That bitch ruined my mood. Laying down on the bed my eyes started to get heavy and soon I drozed away in my dreamland.

Waking up with a knocking door almost feeling like someone is banging on my head. I tiredly got up and opened the door while still rubbing my eyes . I looked up only to find mom with a worried look on her face.

“Chill mom, what is it ?” I asked still half asleep

“ Oh God , for a second I thought you ran away again.”

“Don't worry I am not running anywhere, you can relax” I assured her in not taking any tension about it.

“How can I chill , When Dante’s driver is waiting outside the house.”

Wait, what did she just say? I shook my ears to make sure I heard it right.

“What the hell is his driver doing here , at nine in the morning?” I asked with a frustrating tone. This man can use a little of his smartass brain to think about others rather than only about himself.

“He is here to pick you up.” She replied with a , duh look on her face.

“Dante wants to have breakfast with you. Now stop bickering about the other stuff. Now go fastly get ready and come downstairs, you can't make him wait.”

Now that's exactly what I am gonna do. Make him wait. Getting in the bathroom I took a super relaxing shower with zero worries of time. He thinks he can disturb my precious morning sleep now he should better wait.

By the time I got ready and sat in the car it was already eleven ‘o’ clock . The ride was a few minutes when we arrived at the restaurant.

Expecting Dante to be already there and waiting for me, but that smart pants didn't even arrive yet.

I got seated at the table and waited for him to arrive , well my plan of making him wait just turned the tables around. I took a sip of the juice as I waited , when I spilled some.

“Fuck man” I said in an frustration as I grabbed a tissue from the box and wiped it off from my black midi dress.

The only thing I could find in Mia's wardrobe. Which was less rainbows and sunshine. I don't hate colours , it's just her wardrobe is too bright.

I was busy with my own thoughts when suddenly a deep voice came from behind.

“Little girls shouldn't curse.” I looked up and it was Dante Romano walking from behind. He got seated at the chair in front of me.

“Oh yeah and why don't you mind your own fucking business , huh?” I said with clear irritation in my voice which made him look at me in disbelief.

“ Now will you tell me why you called me here? Ofc it's not just for having breakfast together. Don't tell me it's because you missed me right?”

“Rather than talking bullshit , if only you would use a little bit of your brain, you will realise that I wanted to talk.” He mocked as he continued.

“Explain why you ran away from the house?” He said leaning back at his chair slowly sipping his coffee.

Damn why he is like this, if only he didn't open his mouth showing his jerkass behaviour. He would make a great man.

These stupid hormones, my dirty mind and his hotness isn't a great combination. Yanking the thoughts from my mind, I replied to him by saying.

“Well it was because I got bored so I thought to play hide and seek . You are pretty good at catching by the way. Tell me you cheated right, you didn't count till hundred , did you?”

“Well I did , but your hiding technique was so poor that it didn't even take me an hour to find you.” He responded with a sarcastic tone.

“Well now if you are done with your jokes will you clarify why you ran away?” He asked me again.

“Isn't it obvious? To cancel the marriage arrangements that's why.” I said in annoyance, this man is aware of everything and still wanna play dumb.

“You didn't want this marriage, so I told you to take that opportunity and cancel the arrangement with my grandpa but I never thought you would do something as stupid and dumb as running away.”

Ahhh this man , I swear in my entire life no one and literally no one ever irritated or pissed me off as much as this man did in just one day but I am not gonna lose to him.

Before we could talk further the waiters served our breakfast.

Bagels with eggs , bacon and salad on the side, a typical New Yorker breakfast.

Well who's complaining it looks delicious and I am hungry the conversation with Dante can wait, but my stomach can't. So I took a bite of my food enjoying it and God it was heavenly delicious.
