Laura wasn't a hateful person, but neither was she a saint. There was no way she could forget what Luke had done in the past.

In the afternoon, Lewis and Helen came to the hospital as well.

The two of them had brought quite a lot of things as well. Lewis sized Chris up and down and said, "Will your face be okay? Why are there so many bandages?"

After hearing Lewis's words, Laura's face darkened.

She really didn't like Lewis's tone of voice.

"Mr. Jacobs, please leave if there's nothing else you want to talk about. Chris needs to rest."

When Lewis heard those words, he glared at Laura. "What did you just say? What's wrong with me visiting my injured son? Who are you to drive me out of the room?"

Lewis felt that he should have been there when Chris married Laura. If he had been there, he wouldn't have allowed Chris to marry Laura.
