Chapter 176 Panic

Not knowing how long had passed. Laura slowly opened her eyes.

Her throat was a little dry. Her surroundings were still dark.

She stood up from the chair and used the wall to help her to walk to the door in the dark. She reached out and tried to twist the handle. As expected, the door was locked.

"I know you're watching me." Laura sounded very calm. "I don't know who's behind Jasmine, but I won't let you off so easily once I get out."

The police officer who was in the surveillance room heard what Laura said and then reported it to the chief of police.

The chief of police held a coffee cup in his hand and his lips curved into a disdainful smile. "Won't let us off so easily? Interesting. She's just a store manager, what's she going to do?"

The police officer moved his lips and said hesitantly, "Mr. Johnson, should we give her some food and water? The person in the other seems to be having a mental breakdown."

"Don't worry. They're fine." Mr. Johnson put the coffee cup in his hand
