Chapter 182 Hopeless

On the morning of the next day.

When Laura arrived at the convenience store, she saw a group of men standing at the entrance.

Seeing so many people, Laura became alarmed.

Not knowing when Laura would arrive, Sean had been waiting there quite early in the morning.

This was the first time that he had gotten out of bed so early for so many years.

Sean first greeted Chris, but Chris ignored him completely. He just walked straight towards the Jacobs Group. Sean could only swallow the words he was about to say. He then bowed towards Laura and said, "I'm sorry, Miss Walker, I really am. I was a fool yesterday. I was tricked by someone else."

Laura gave the man in front of her a strange look. "Who are you? What do you mean?"

Sean recalled what Harry had told him.

He couldn't let Laura know about Chris's and Harry's true identity.

"I'm... Jasmine's boyfriend. Well, ex..." said Sean.

Before Sean could finish, Laura's face darkened.

"What are you doing here? Do you think my store isn't
