Chapter 7: Wedding Day

I’ve tried thinking of any possible way to leave, but we must manage to make the guard leave first.

What is it with me that Samuel feared my presence too much? It was as if he would allow me to object to their wedding that easily. Of course, he won’t! Alice was his beloved woman after all, whatever I do, their wedding will take place.

Placing my fingers onto my temples, trying to think more ways when Donna walked up to me, crouching down to my ears, whispering, “I think I have an idea, Luna.”

Donna suggested I wear my red dress paired with a red veil to cover my face as I don’t want to spoil the news right away.

“Thank you for helping me,” I murmured while she put my veil in place.

“Shut it, Luna. But please do me a favor and tell me Luna Alice’s expression when you get there.”

We both laughed.

“All right. Go, now, Luna Clara!”

Not wasting a second, I stepped towards the bathroom. As soon as I heard Donna’s yelp for help, I shut the door of the bathroom and opened the faucet.
