He looked for her everywhere until someone told him where to find them because she had seen Hailey walk in there, and so here he was in front of the bathroom, thinking of what to say.

Finally, after mustering up the thoughts of what he could say, he pushed open the door of the bathroom and walked inside. "We need to talk, Chloe.” He said, even before he was sure they were inside before he saw her and his eyes met with hers.

Slowly, his eyes went down her body, roaming it so passionately he couldn't believe himself. But what more he couldn't believe was what he was looking at.

Chloe was dressed in the old cheerleading uniform Leighton High used, and he remembered that Hailey was once part of the cheerleading team, and this must be her uniform. It was right and short on her, and Zach growled at the way it made him feel.

He looked at Hailey who was looking at him with questions in her eyes, probably wanting to ask him what the hell he wanted, but couldn't. He turned a pleading eye to

It was almost as if Zach could feel Chloe's eyes on his body, burning holes into the insanely gorgeous body because he turned to look at her, a small frown on his face. “Holy shit, you both are connected.” Hailey squealed and Chloe rolled her eyes. "That's why he can feel you looking at him, and that's why he turned to look at you at the time you started to stare at him.” She added, causing another eye roll from Chloe. Hailey had always been a tad bit dramatic, but she was getting more dramatic as time passed by. Perhaps, it was the drama that was going on at home that had made her that way. Chloe was still staring at him even while Hailey spoke to her, so she didn't miss it when he winked at her and gave her a smile. For some reason, that angered her, even though it should have pleased her. For a while now, after the cafeteria incident, he had been avoiding her at school, and been bleeping annoying, no other word for that. Why the heck was he smiling at her now, like he cared abo

  • Secret Crush   Don't You Dare

His voice welcomed her as soon as she entered the room he was waiting for him in. "I didn't think you would actually come.” He said, and she could hear the smile in his voice, even before she turned to face him from closing the door of the room. In there was a little bit dusty and dark, but she could still see the annoying grin on his face the moment she turned to face him. That annoyed the hell out of her, but she just swallowed it all down. “When I had to wait for more than a couple of minutes, I thought that you had stood me up.” He said, and Chloe shrugged. “Well, I'm here now.” That was what she wanted to say, but she knew Zach well enough to know he could do something funny if she happened to act defiant. So instead, she put a small smile on her face, although pleasant, and she stopped in front of him where he half stood and sat on a high desk. "Why would I do that?” she asked. He lifted his shoulder in a shrug and grabbed her wrist suddenly to pull her to him. It was so ou

“Because I don't want to have to beat the shit out of someone, okay! There. I said it.” “What are you talking about? Why would you do that?” When Chloe asked him that, silence fell between them. He could tell she was confused about that half ass confession he had just made, but he wasn't sure he wanted to explain anything yet. “Why don't you want to beat the shit out of anyone, I mean why would you have to?” Chloe asked again when he didn't say anything. “I just don't want to be a bad friend and allow some jerks to mess with you.” He said, hoping that was an explanation enough. It wasn’t though, because, after a moment, she shook her head as if to say that wasn't genuine enough. “That’s not answering my question, Zach. Why won't you just explain what you mean when you said what you did?” she asked him, looking at him and hoping he would explain what that meant to her. Zach rubbed his temple, he could see what she was thinking plainly displayed on her face. She was thinking that

  • Secret Crush   Movie Night

After accepting with reluctance, Chloe might add, to become Zach’s friend, she still tried her best to avoid him except it was not feasible, or they shared the same class. In those classes she shared with him, one like this, she would make sure she was sitting right at the front, where she knew Zach hated sitting, and then walk out of class with her books already packed and ready to go as soon as the bell rang. But today, it was difficult to escape like that, because he was seated right beside her. That was surprising, seeing as she was sitting at the very front of the class, in the middle with the board directly facing her. Due to his determination to frustrate her, she was trying so hard to concentrate and not look beside her to him. She was succeeding at that until he kicked her table and bend closer to her to whisper in her ear as the teacher turn her back to the class. "Aren't you excited?” he asked. Chloe shook her head with an eye roll. "About what, Zach? What should I be e

  • Secret Crush   Surprised Visit

Chloe spent most of the classes for that day planning on how to best avoid Zach through the movie night: how to make sure he wasn't in at least five feet of her, hoping it would work as well as it looked in her head. She remembered what Hailey had whispered to her in the third period class, telling her how she better not cause any trouble because she could see the glint in her eyes. Whatever glint she saw though had nothing to do with wanting to cause trouble, but to stay out of it, and Zach was trouble. He surely was, but what the heck would she do without an escape and avoid plan? He grimaced as the soft words replayed in her head and she wondered why she would want to cause trouble. She had no reason whatsoever to do so except he was planning to, and the best was to just stay away from him. If anything was to happen when after trying her possible best to stay out of trouble, it would be Hailey’s fault. She would be held responsible because she was the one that invited him to th

  • Secret Crush   Wet and Naked

Zach stood there with his mouth dropped open, staring at her as he would a candy. He wondered what was going through her mind, because his own was filled with what he wanted to do to her, like getting the towel off her for starters. Damn! If he had known this was what he would meet, that this was how she would answer the door, he wouldn't have come upstairs to her room. He had decided to come pick her up and drive them together to Hailey's place because he knew she didn't own a car, and it was on his way so there was no big deal dropping by and pick in her up, only to see this. When he had arrived, Camden had been the one to open the door for him and he had led him here, saying it was better to let her know he was here or she might take the whole afternoon, according to him. "Are you sure it's okay?” he had asked, but the boy had grinned and nodded his head. If he didn't know any better, he would have thought that Camden had done this on purpose. "What are you doing here?" Chloe

  • Secret Crush   Nervous

Chloe was nervous, and it was entirely because today was Monday, the start of the tutoring with Zach. She had been able to avoid him until today, but she couldn't anymore. At Hailey’s house for the movie hang out on Friday, she had done her absolute best to stay away from him, and nothing dramatic had happened thank God. It was still early in the morning, but it didn't stop her from being all tense. All usual, she walked to school while her father drop off her brothers. She loved coming to school early so that she wouldn't have to draw any attention to herself. As she got to school, a car entered into the parking lot, and she wondered who it was. She didn't think other people arrived at school at this time, but she was surprised. There was another car in the parking lot she didn't recognize too, but she wasn't sure it was a student’s car. The principal and some of the teachers sometimes parked in the student lot. “Chloe, good morning.” Someone said behind her and she turned to see

  • Secret Crush   Being a Distraction

Today was the first day of their tutor session and Chloe couldn't concentrate because of two reasons. One, she could feel the burning stare of Zach on her even though his attention should be on the books in front of them, and two, what had happened between them that early morning at school in that abandoned place. Zach had hugged her, and held her for a long moment, telling her how good she felt against him and how nice it was for her to be in his arm. But that wasn't what actually got to her. It was the way he was looking at her before he pulled her into that hug. What the heck was wrong but the boy with all of the confusion going around and all? One minute he was all good with her and the next he was being a jerk, or rude as heck. To be very honest though, that wasn't the definition of liking someone but she treacherous body would always fall for those eyes, the ones that could literally melt her panties off. “Okay, that's an exaggeration, even for me.” She thought out loud and

The air felt so heavy around Zach as he approached Chloe's house, his breath forming clouds in the chilly evening. “Oh shit, I’m nervous.” He whispered. It was as if he was there to ask for Chloe’s hand in marriage rather than just having a causal dinner with her family. He couldn't help but feel a flutter of nervous excitement in his chest at the thought of marrying her though, because he would like that very much.Although, Zach had eaten with Chloe before, but tonight was different; it wasn't just another dinner. It was a gathering, an invitation from Chloe's family so that they could meet him official and probably talk about his relationship with Chloe. As he reached the front door, it swung open right before he could knock on the door, revealing Hailey, Chloe's best friend and his own friend as well, and he wondered how she knew he was at the door. Well, she had probably heard the sound of his car. That was the most likely explanation for how she knew to open the door before he

  • Secret Crush   Talking It Through

All Zach wanted was to never have to talk with his father again, but he wondered what this was about now. He stood up and followed him, but his mind was back there on the bed with Chloe. "What's this about, father?" he asked, but his father said nothing. Sighing, he shook his head and followed him in silently, not saying anything after that. When they got to his office, Zach silently closed the door before turning back to face his father, watching as he walked to the window to stand over it. Be would have preferred to open the door of the room and just let them talk so that it would be easier fir him to escape, but he also didn't want it to seem like he had anything to run for. His father took his sweet time before he spoke though, clearing his throat even, so that his voice would come out in his desired way. "I'm going on a business trip," his father started. "And what the heck does that have to do with me?" Zach wanted to ask, but instead, he stood there quietly without

They were still on his bed, but they had stopped kissing, and Chloe was now sitting in front of Zach instead of his lap, their head pushed together as they spoke in a hushed tone even though the room was empty. “Wait a minute, Zach. I have a question for you.” Chloe said and she pulled back a little, and Zach's hands around her loosen. He looked at her with his eyes squinted, wanting to know what was going on. “What is the question about though?” e asked. “Can you tell me what happened with your mom? I know she died, and because of that, you hate your father and his wife so badly. If it's not too much, can you tell me what happened there?” she asked. Zach stared at Chloe for a full minute, contemplating on what to say and what not to say. He knew Chloe meant no harm and she was just trying to get to know him even better than she did before. He decided it was best to tell her about it so that she would understand him even more. She would see that he hadn't just woke up one day and

  • Secret Crush   Talking about the Past

A week later, Zach called Chloe and invited her over to his house and Chloe wondered why he was asking her over. She had been cooking for her siblings when she received his call that afternoon, so she had to finish up before leaving. As she walked to the bus stop to get on the bus, her phone rang again, and she picked it up to see that it was her mother. After the day her father had caught her over at the Elliot's house, he had realized that they needed to spend more time as a family, and he had had that conversation with her one night after she managed to come home from work. It turned out that the only reason she kept taking shifts over and over was because of a promotion that she was eyeing, but she could have just explained that. After that, her mother had spoken to her and told her she just needed two days, because the period for working for the promotion was over then, and ever since, she had been cutting back on work and showing up at home most nights. It wasn't entirely the

  • Secret Crush   Gisting Hailey

“Hey, you!“ that was the first thing Hailey said to her when she opened the door of her house that afternoon, a mischievous smile on her face. Chloe shook her head at her as she followed her into the house and then up the stairs to her room. “You’re definitely so up for hearing what I have for you, aren't you?” “What? Did you finally grow some balls to kiss that boy?” she asked and she turned to look at her over her shoulder, right before she opened up the door of her room. Rolling her eyes, Chloe chuckled. “No, but I have more juicer news. You won't believe what happened at all.” She said. Hailey plop down on her bed and then she turned to face her, all fully ready to hear the gist she had for her. “Out with it, now.” She said, hitting her on the arm playfully. “Ow, Hailey. What do you think you're doing? You’re not going to let me get to it if you continue doing that.” She said, then just to tease her, she asked. “Wait, are we alone at home or something?” she was just trying to

  • Secret Crush   Just Maybe

The argument with her father wasn't as she had expected, but it was long, and by the time he was able to convince him that Zach wasn't her boyfriend, she went out of the house to go to Hailey, also surprised that he let her, even after knowing she had lied about sleeping over there before. She had told him she was going to have a sleepover at Hailey's and that he could follow her there if he didn't believe her, or call his informant, Mr. Elliot-Day if he didn't believe her, and surprisingly, he had just rolled his eyes at her and nodded his eyes. She still wonder what Mr. Elliot-Day had told her father, but it was all good, because as long as she wasn't grounded or anything, then it was probably not something she should be worried about. One thing she was grateful for was the fact that her mother wasn't there at the time. It was still two o'clock in the afternoon, and she shouldn't be going to a sleepover this early, but it was Hailey’s house, so she needed to do just that, or that

  • Secret Crush   Trouble for Chloe

Chloe used her hands to cover up her face, embarrassed at the things Zach said she did, the ones she couldn't still remember properly. She knew she hadn't taken in the intake of the alcohol properly, so they were a fat chance he wasn't lying or pulling her legs. “You were so bad last night, trying to send me to an early grave. I wonder why you were so bent on seducing me last night, though, but I guess it was the alcohol.” He said. He had started to drive and was somehow stuck in a little bit of traffic, but still, he wasn't looking at her at all. He was so focused on the road ahead of him one would think he had his eyes glued there. He definitely was avoiding her gaze. She turned up the corner of her mouth in a surprised smile, squinting her eyes as she looked at him. Was it possible that she had succeeded in turning him on or something? She wondered for a second, then she leaned over the console that was between them and asked him, whispering into his ear. “Wait, did I succeed in

  • Secret Crush   Close Proximity

Can you please take me home, Zach?” she asked him after they had talked about their families, looking at him with a small smile on her face. Zach nodded his head in agreement. “Of course, little bird. Just give me a second to get something better on.” He said as he gave her a small smile. He pushed Chloe off him as gently as possible, and then he walked to his closet, winking at Chloe over his shoulder as he realized she was watching him go. Luckily, she didn't flush when he looked at him until he turned back and walked into the closet. She reddened when he was gone, blowing out a breath. Zach was just really handsome and being in close proximity with him like this was really making butterflies fluttering in her belly. About a few minutes later, he walked out and told her it was time to leave. As she stood up to follow him, she caught her leg and twisted her ankle, going down in a fall. Before she could get to the ground, Zach caught her, but she was still flailing around, and t
