Chapter fifty-seven

I pulled my hoodie to cover my face with my back facing him.

He ignored his father's question and kept inching closer.

I could feel my pulse quicken as I could feel his presence behind me.

My heartbeat expedited at a faster rate.

I am cringing within myself and praying that the Alpha could notice what is going on.

I am scared that the guy might remember me by getting a glimpse of me.

He saw me years back and I am scared that he might still have that image of me.

"Stop it……… What do you think you are doing?" The Alpha suddenly said, causing him to halt at his steps.

"We have an intruder inside the pack," he said, though I could still feel his gaze on me.

"Who told you that it is an intruder?"

"Then do you know him, father?" sarcasm laced through his question despite how calm his voice sounded.

"I don't know him,"

"Then that means that he is an intruder and we need to know the reason why those guards allowed him inside,"
