Angeline held the glass before her and gazed at Nathaniel. "No. I just don't want to lie to you."

Nathaniel rubbed his chin. "If you don't want to lie to me, tell me. Am I one step closer to being your friend?"

Angeline smiled and said nothing.

Angeline kept looking at the door, her mind occupied by the phone call between Sean and Thomas.

After 20 minutes, Sean returned to the private room. The food had already been served.

Angeline looked at Sean as he sat opposite them and said, "I've reached an agreement with Thomas. Ms. Lawson, let's put an end to this matter. Thank you for helping me contact Thomas."

Angeline nodded. "Of course, I have no issue if you two could come to an agreement. Since this is settled, you guys may continue with the dinner. I'll be leaving now."

"I'll see you off!" Nathaniel stood up.
