Chapter 1009

Angeline paused while taking off Sean's shirt. Tears started flooding her eyes.

She looked at Sean's features, which looked more defined than before. She thought his facial features looked more well-defined back in the restaurant. But under the warm bedroom lights now, he looked significantly thinner to the point that his bones were visible.

Angeline noticed another scar on Sean's back while taking off his shirt to change into the pajamas. She pressed her lips and helped him change into pajamas made of thin material before sticking fever-cooling patches on his forehead and neck.

"Angie…"

Hearing Sean's mumble, Angeline lay beside him and caressed his cheek. She faced him and replied, "I'm here."

Sean grabbed Angeline's cold fingers with his big hand, then subconsciously nuzzled his cheek into her palm. He seemed to be feeling the cooling and comfortable temperature of Angeline's body.

Sean let out a comfortable sigh while subconsciously moving closer to Angeline.
