He spread his arms out wide and took her into his arms effortlessly.

“I’m sorry for making you suffer so much over the last two days.” He apologized sincerely to her.

Kelsey shook her head and assured him. “What do you mean suffer? You got me out of there! If anything, you’re the one who suffered, look how frail you are now.”

Other than the first day when she had it rather rough, nobody harassed her anymore after Tyler showed up.

Then, she pulled herself out of his arms and gently caressed his grizzled beard with the tips of her soft fingers. A trace of hurt shone in her eyes.

“Anything is worth it as long as it’s for you,” Tyler said while gently taking her hands into his. There was an indescribably soft look in his eyes.

Kelsey glanced at Anna who had been looking on silently the entire time. She suddenly became embarrassed and turned to Tyler. “Co
