Before Kelsey could even get a word out, Charlie had hung up on her.

Kelsey stared inexplicably at the display of her phone with her brows furrowed.

Something must have happened for Charlie to be so incensed.

“What's wrong?” Tyler suddenly drew toward her and asked.

“My dad told me to go home,” Kelsey expressed with a solemn look.

Tyler's expression was wrought with concern. “I’ll go with you.”

“No, it’s fine, I can handle him by myself.” Kelsey shook her head.

After they finished their breakfast, Tyler drove her back to her house.

Before she stepped out of the car, Tyler asked again, “Are you sure you don't want me to go in with you?"

Kelsey smiled and assured him. “No!”

She had to learn to be independent instead of relying on him for every single little thing.

“I’m going, bye!"

She pecked a kiss on Tyler’s cheek.

Before he even had time to react, she had thrown the door open and started to skip back to her house.
