Unfairness Of Her Plight

"Mr. Delgado, I'm sorry to say this but she won't be able to make it," Dr. Jerry spoke out with sorrow as he delivered the devastating news to Gabriel. Doctor Jerry's eyes were filled with empathy as he looked at Gabriel, who stood before him, stunned and unable to comprehend the words he had just heard.

"But... is there anything that can be done? Anything at all?" Gabriel's voice trembled as he struggled to find hope in the midst of despair.

Dr. Jerry shook his head slowly. "I'm truly sorry, Gabriel. The untreated bruises and internal injuries, coupled with the stabbing, have taken a severe toll on her body. There's nothing more we can do."

Gabriel's mind reeled, but he found himself unable to form any more words. Numbness spread through him as he turned slowly to face the hospital room where Isabella lay, her fragile form so still against the stark white sheets.

The lights overhead seemed to dim as he entered the room, casting a pall over the space. Isabella's peaceful face, now so pale, betrayed no sign of the fierce struggle her body was waging. Gabriel reached for her hand, holding it gently as tears welled in his eyes. He whispered her name, willing her to hear him, to feel his presence, to know that he was there with her.

Kneeling beside Isabella's bed, Gabriel gently took her hand in his, his tears flowing freely without restraint. "Isabella, I'm so sorry," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion. "I should have told you how I felt. I should have fought for you, even when I found out you were married. None of this would have happened. That monster wouldn't have hurt the girl I've always loved like this."

His words, thoughts, and pain were so heavy within him as he looked upon her fragile form, his heart aching with regret and anguish. The sound of machines hummed softly, a stark contrast to the turmoil within Gabriel's soul.

As he poured out his tears, his pain and remorse seemed to lift, carried away on the tide of his grief. Each tear that fell seemed to carry with it a piece of his burden, leaving him raw and exposed. The room felt hushed as if the world outside had paused to acknowledge his sorrow.

Isabella lay still, her chest rising and falling in a rhythmic but fragile pattern. Gabriel held her hand with a tenderness born of love and desperation, willing her to find her way back to him, praying for a miracle that seemed increasingly out of reach.

As Gabriel's tears fell onto Isabella's hand, his sobs shook his entire frame. In the quiet hospital room, the sound of his anguish seemed to fill the space, a counterpoint to the beeping of the machines and the distant shuffle of footsteps.

Then, almost shocking at first, Isabella's eyes fluttered open. Blurriness gave way to clarity, and the first thing she saw was the sterile white ceiling above her. As she shifted slightly, a sharp pain flared where the knife had struck, but another sensation caught her attention, droplets falling onto her hand.

With effort, Isabella turned her head, and through the haze of pain and confusion, she made out the figure of someone sobbing beside her, his hand clasping hers. As her vision cleared, she recognized Gabriel, his usually composed demeanor shattered by grief. The realization hit her. So..it was Gabriel who had been there, desperately calling out to her as she slipped into unconsciousness after being stabbed Isabella realized.

Tears welled in Isabella's eyes as the moment settled upon her. The sight of Gabriel's raw, unguarded emotion pierced her heart, and she found herself sobbing alongside him, the pain in her belly a sharp reminder of the ordeal she had endured.

As Gabriel's tears flowed, Isabella found herself engulfed by a flood of emotions, each tear she had been holding back since the harrowing ordeal now pouring forth. her suffering, the death of her sister, the betrayal, and the pain crashed over her, and she wept, her tears mingling with Gabriel's.

Amidst his anguish, Isabella heard the sound of sobs, he raised his head and as she blinked through his tears, he saw Isabella looking up at him with tears in her eyes, his eyes locking with hers.

"I'll go get the doctor," Gabriel said immediately, his voice thick with emotion. With that, he rose from his seat and hurried out of the room, his footsteps echoing down the corridor.

In swift strides, Gabriel reached Dr. Jerry's office and burst through the door without a second thought. "She's awake, Doctor Jerry, please come with me," he implored, urgency coloring his every word. Without hesitation, Dr. Jerry rose from his seat, his expression shifting from surprise to focused determination, and followed Gabriel back to Isabella's room.

Meanwhile, as Isabella lay on the hospital bed, her gaze drifted to the ceiling, and in the recesses of her mind, her sister's smiling face showed.

"Emily, I'm so sorry... you lost your life because of my foolishness," Isabella murmured, her voice heavy with remorse. "I won't let them live in peace, Emily. I promise you."

her words heavy with pain, mingling with the beeping of the monitors and the distant shuffle of footsteps outside. determination flickered in Isabella's eyes, a resolve born of pain and loss, as she grappled with the turmoil that had engulfed her world.

With urgency propelling their steps, Gabriel and Doctor Jerry swiftly entered the hospital room. Doctor Jerry's gaze met Isabella's, his eyes searching for any sign of her condition. "How are you feeling, Isabella?" he inquired gently, concern etched on his face.

Isabella remained silent, her eyes flitting between Doctor Jerry and Gabriel, her expression a mix of emotions. Doctor Jerry proceeded to conduct a thorough examination, checking the monitors and Isabella's vitals with practiced precision, his brow furrowed in concentration.

As Doctor Jerry worked, Gabriel stood near the door, his hands clasped tightly together, a silent prayer echoing in his heart. His eyes remained fixed on Isabella, his hope clinging to the possibility of a miracle, a fervent wish that defied the news he had heard just moments before.

The room seemed to hold its breath, each heartbeat echoing an unspoken desire for a turn of fate.

Dr. Jerry's focused examination continued, his movements deliberate as he assessed every detail with professional precision. Gabriel's whispered prayers filled the space, a plea for a miracle that seemed to hang in the air alongside the scent of antiseptic and the soft hum of medical equipment.

Isabella's gaze flitted between Gabriel and Dr. Jerry, her eyes conveying a silent plea for reassurance. With each passing moment, her strength waned, and the pain from her injuries intensified, spreading through her body like a relentless tide. Though every fiber of her being screamed in agony, she remained silent, her voice stolen by weakness and suffering.

The anguish etched on Isabella's face spoke volumes, a silent result of the unbearable torment she endured. Her eyes, once bright with vitality, now held a profound weariness, a reflection of the toll her ordeal had exacted. As she lay there, her very presence seemed to beg the universe for help, for a glimmer of hope in the midst of overwhelming despair.

After minutes of thorough examination, Dr. Jerry turned to face Gabriel, his expression grave, before shifting his gaze to Isabella, lying helpless on the hospital bed. With a heavy heart, he shook his head in a gesture that spoke volumes, leaving Gabriel with a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"What's wrong, Doctor Jerry?" Gabriel's voice trembled, his eyes pleading for a glimmer of hope.

"Like I said earlier, she won't make it. Say your last goodbyes," Dr. Jerry's words landed like a crushing blow, finality ringing in the air.

As Dr. Jerry's pronouncement settled upon the room, Isabella felt her life slipping away, the pain intensifying with each passing moment. Tears streamed down her cheeks as a tumult of emotions surged within her. How could this be happening? How could the Creator allow such injustice? Anguish and frustration boiled within her, the unfairness of her plight echoing through her being.

In the grip of overwhelming despair, Isabella's internal cries reverberated, and her body started trembling with the force of her emotions as she started shaking. doctor Jerry just stood there knowing fully well he couldn't do anything. The room seemed to waver around her, the sterile walls and medical equipment fading into insignificance in the face of her inner turmoil.

Gabriel's arms quickly enveloped Isabella's shoulders as he held her, feeling her trembling with anger. Tears streamed down his face as he spoke softly to her, "Isabella, I'm so sorry. I hope you can overcome this and prove the doctor wrong."

Isabella's shaking began to subside, and she looked into Gabriel's eyes, her voice choked with emotion. "I don't want to die!!," she whispered. "I want to repay everything I owe you and my tormentors. Dying now is unfair to me. It's... it's injustice."

As she spoke, Isabella felt her strength waning, and she started to close her eyes. "Isabella, please, stay with me," Gabriel pleaded, his voice filled with desperation. "Don't leave me. Don't..."

But it was too late. Isabella's eyes closed, and the life monitor let out its final, long beep, signaling her passing.

The room fell into a heavy silence as Gabriel held Isabella's lifeless form, his heart shattered into a million pieces.
