Bury my Past.

Chapter

"Leia.." Mark whispers with dread filling his being. He can do nothing but watch as the woman drags her fingers over the dress, now free of the extra lace that hid its resemblance to her former gown.

Mark felt a knot form in his stomach. He had hoped that Leia's amnesia was a clean slate, a chance for them to build new memories together. To let her forget her last and keep her here with him. But now, with her memories resurfacing in this unexpected way, he knew that the past could come crashing back into their present.

He swallows, his throat feeling suddenly parched.

"Hgn.."

He is broken out of his thoughts when he hears the sound of a tiny whimper. The Man snaps his eyes to Leia's face and watches with disbelief as she clutches at her head.

"Leia?." He says tentatively, watching with bated breath as she squints her eyes at him.

She's awake, Mark thinks, elated even as his stomach sinks.

'I wonder if she remembers anything.' he thinks frantically
