Chapter 4: I shot Noah

Laurel's Pov:

I was anxious and tense when Noah, my husband , took his briefcase and stepped out of the door and left for work.

I waited till I was sure he waa gone and so I rushed to pack my important documents and a few clothes into a bag and I also packed Tracy's belongings and I took her hand and walked out of the apartment and locked the door and took a cab to the arranged destination, which was an abandoned warehouse.

When I got there I met my parents there.

My Mom was so happy that she ran into my arms.

“Oh Laurel, I am so sorry for all you have endured,” My mother's words rang in my ears as she cried on my shoulder.

Even though I had mixed feelings about how I felt about my parents, they are the only way that I could get out of this situation.

My Father walked closer to us and patted me on the shoulder while my mother knelt down to hug Tracy, my daughter.

After the greeting and hugs, my mother took Tracy into one of the rooms and kept her there with our backpack.

After she returned my parents then told me of the plan and how it would play out.

My father tied me to a chair and used duct tape on my mouth and then I waited patiently for him to come.

My Father was standing behind me wearing a mask and a gun in his hand.

Just as predicted, within 20 minutes Noah my husband came running into the abandoned warehouse all sweaty and a panicked look on his face. He had his briefcase in hand so I think he bought the money my parents asked for.

Noah saw me and when he took two steps towards me my father's actions stopped him.

“Stop,” My Father ordered as he raised the gun and pointed it to my head.

I wasn't even scared because it waa going as planned and Noah stopped in his tracks, to make it believable I thought of when my dog died and I started crying.

“It's okay baby, don't care,” Noah consoled me.

“I bought the money it's in the briefcase, let her go,” Noah told my father.

“Drop it and leave. I will let her go after you walk out the door,” My Father told him.

No, that's not what we agreed,” Noah said angrily as he took steps closer to me and my father cocked the gun and he stopped.

Noah sighed.

“Please just let her go,” Noah said as he turned his back to walk away and I saw my father raise the gun to shoot him but as soon as he pulled the trigger, Noah had already side stepped out of the way and pulled out a gun and shot at my father.

I heard the loud bang and blood splashed on my face and my heart began thudding in my chest as I turned around to see the gunshot hole in the middle of my father's head and blood gushing out from it and I just froze in horror as my eyes widened.

He Killed my father.

I had no time to react as I heard a loud cry.

“You killed him!” I heard my mother's loud voice come from behind me and Noah shot at her and I heard a thud on the floor.

I began to panic as our eyes met and I saw his cold glare.

He knows that I tried to run away.

But my parents said it's best to take money from him first by kidnapping me before we disappear ,that was a bad idea.

Noah walked towards me and each step he took towards me made my heart beat so loudly my chest I told her to pass out at any moment.

Noah stopped in front of me, gun still in hand.

He ripped the duct tape off my mouth.

“Where is Tracy?” Noah asked in a cold and distant voice.

“She…she..” I stammered in a low voice.

“Just talk I need to get you guys out here,” Noah said as he used a dagger to cut the ropes freeing me from my binds.

I didn't think that I could talk at this moment because I was shaking because of the situation so I pointed towards the door where my mother had kept Tracy and our bag.

Noah rushed towards the door and I picked up my father's gun and pointed it at him.

“Stop turn around!” I yelled at him with a shaky hand and he turned and saw the gun and glared at me.

“After the stunts you just pulled, I did not kill you and take my daughter and you still dare point a gun at me?” Noah asked me as I saw his fists clench and his eyes narrow.

“Please…please i beg you ,just leave here I want to take my daughter,” I pleaded with him with shaky hands and he glared at me.

“There are some men coming here and they are coming here to abduct you and Tracy to blackmail me, that man you will go to the treaty worse than I ever did and use you as he pleases even as a sex toy,” Noah warned me and I couldn't say anything.

Noah just turned around heading towards Tracy and I pulled the trigger and with a bang and he fell with a thud.

I gasped in shock and dropped the gun on the floor as I covered my mouth with my hand.

I shot Noah!

What have I done?
