Chapter 130. A Ticket To Save Life

Heather gathered her entire courage to walk inside the building. She determined to look for Brandon. The building is on the way to the ground. There are no walls that are still smooth like before. Even the elevator is off. It seemed unlikely that Brandon would still be there. The electricity is also no longer on.

"Hey, Miss, you can't trespass here! Don't you see the sign out front?" Someone shouted from the end of the corridor. Heather turned and remained silent when a man approached her.

"What are you doing here?" he reprimanded her, his voice still echoing.

"I came looking for my brother," Heather admitted.

"No one has lived here since a month ago. It is under construction." The man explained again.

"What? Impossible. We used to live here." Heather's hand pointed at the stairs leading up.

"Everyone has moved."

"What happened?"

"The owner of the building went bankrupt and sold it to someone else. I heard that a famous boutique will be built here." The man answered matter-of-factly.
