The day progressed with a semblance of normalcy as they worked together, had food delivered, and shared meals. Ava, perceptive to the shifts in Carver's demeanor, made it her mission to keep him engaged, prevent him from sinking back into his own thoughts. She asked him questions, shared her thoughts on marketing strategies, and frequently glanced at him with a smile.

During lunch, they chatted about trivial things. Ava tried to lighten the mood with her playful banter, and Peyton chimed in with his own quips. Though more subdued, Carver managed to contribute, showing brief glimpses of his usual self.

After lunch, Ava was back at her desk browsing through the MLS listings. Her heart skipped a beat when she recognized a familiar building now listed for lease. It was the same building that housed Esmerelda's. Her mind raced, piecing together that Carver and Peyton owned the building.

A detail they had never mentioned.

A sense of betrayal mixed with panic set in. Ava's breathing qui

Ava and Carver returned to the apartment, where Peyton sat absorbed in his work on the couch. As Ava leaned in to kiss Peyton, she whispered something in his ear, her voice barely audible. Standing back up, she looked at Peyton with a mischievous glint in her eye. "Hey, we need a few more hours... to sort some things out. You okay with that?" Peyton, catching on to Ava's tone, nodded with a knowing smile. "Of course, take your time." Leading Carver into the bedroom, Ava's demeanor shifted to something more assertive, intriguing Carver. She gestured towards him, "Strip and lay down. We need to work through this together." Carver hesitated, starting to voice his concerns, but Ava cut him off. "No, this is necessary, for both of us," she insisted. Reluctantly, Carver complied, sitting against the headboard. Ava, now dressed in Carver's undershirt, her bra and panties barely visible beneath, approached him with a playful yet stern look. Bending down, she kissed him fiercely biting

Peyton maintained his position, his knee firmly planted in Carver's back, while Carver continued to resist, adamantly refusing to let Ava secure his hand to the bedpost. "Ava," Peyton's voice wavered slightly, "go to the box and get that little black box. But be careful, it's a taser." Ava retrieved the device, her hands trembling slightly. Peyton laughed upon realizing it was fully charged. He glanced at Ava, a challenging glint in his eyes. "Can you do it, or should I?" Ava quickly returned the taser to him, her voice laced with uncertainty. "I'm not ready for that yet." Peyton leaned down, delivering a quick, sharp shock to Carver's shoulder. Carver cried out, the pain breaking through his resistance. Reluctantly, he extended his hand for Ava to secure. As Ava walked around to the other side, Carver, panting heavily, offered his other hand but tried to pull it back just as she reached for it. Peyton, unrelenting, rested the taser barbs against the skin on Carver's back. Under t

As they sat in the shower, the water streaming down around them, Ava looked at Carver, her expression a blend of concern and reflection. "I never expected the night to turn out like this," she confessed softly.Carver let out a bitter laugh, the sound echoing off the tiled walls. "Yeah, well, that happens when I try to control everything. If I had just let you take the lead like I said I would, we'd probably all be having a great time right now... But no, I had to try and exert control and look where it got me... Sitting here feeling like my ass is on fire."Ava couldn't hold back the laughter that bubbled up deep within her. She tried to compose herself, but the laughter kept breaking through. "I'm sorry, it's just... anal can be tough sometimes," she managed to say between chuckles.Carver's response was a mix of annoyance and disbelief. "This isn't funny, Ava."She finally regained some composure, a smile still on her lips. "I know, I know... I'm only laughing because I can relate

Peyton lay in bed, his eyes fixed on the electrode mark on Carver's back, a visible reminder of their intense night. He sighed deeply, his mind swirling with thoughts as he picked up his phone and texted their go-to contact for such situations. The quick response directed him to the pharmacy, which held more than just medical supplies for him.Joeline, the pharmacist, wasn't just a professional acquaintance. She was a significant part of his past, the only woman he had allowed himself to get close to. Peyton found himself wrestling with the thought of seeing her again. He pondered whether to share this piece of his history with Carver and Ava, who remained oblivious to this connection.Making a decision, he dressed quietly, careful not to disturb the peaceful scene of Ava and Carver sleeping. After dressing, he gently woke her, "I need to go out and get some meds to ensure there's no infection risk."Ava, still half-asleep, mumbled her understanding and turned over, cuddling back into

Sensing the need for a change in atmosphere, Ava suggested, "How about you two shower... together?" Peyton raised an eyebrow. "You're not joining us?" She laughed, shaking her head. "I already showered. This is for you two to... without me." Peyton looked at Carver, who shrugged and nodded in agreement. Carver was visibly tense in the shower, the water cascading over him, doing little to ease his discomfort. Trying to lighten the mood, Peyton began playfully drawing shapes in the soap suds on Carver's back as he washed. Carver broke down and finally let the thought bouncing around his head out. "How many people have you been with, really?" Peyton answered honestly, "Just a handful, of both genders." Peyton then realized that Carver's unease seemed to have escalated after he mentioned Joeline. He reached out, grasping Carver's arm to make him look at him. "Tell me what you're not saying," he urged. Carver exhaled a heavy sigh, his guard finally coming down. "Honestly? I'm jealou

"You're right on time.""Yeah, there's always room for our favorite," Carver added, winking at her as they shuffled apart.Ava sank into the space they made. She noticed their hands still joined above her head. "I see the romance is in full swing tonight," she remarked.Peyton chuckled, his eyes twinkling. "Can't help it. The aftermath of Peyton's climax was evident on both of them. Peyton was quite relaxed, content to linger in the afterglow on the couch. Still, he noticed that Carver seemed to grow uneasy as the immediate rush of their climaxes began to fade. Sensing Carver's discomfort, Peyton suggested another shower. Ava followed them and sat on the floor near the shower door so she could hear them. The water washed over them, rinsing away the physical remnants of their encounter. Inside the shower, the conversation turned playful yet revealing. Carver, with a slight grimace, chuckled. "OK, I'm still sore from when you..." He trailed off, not finishing his sentence, then added, "Yet, you seem totally fine." Peyton chuckled, his voice echoing off the tiled walls. "Well, I know what I'm doing. You'll learn. Give it time." Carver looked at him, a mix of curiosity and skepticism in his eyes. "Seriously?" he asked. Peyton's laughter filled the shower. "OK, I heard this saying once, and it's so f

The office was unusually quiet throughout the day, the usual hum of productivity replaced by a heavy, contemplative atmosphere. Peyton, Carver, and Ava each found themselves drifting through their tasks, their minds clouded by the courtroom drama that had unfolded earlier. Conversations were few and far between, with each of them lost in their own thoughts, trying to process the events.Ava, sitting at her desk, let out a deep sigh. She glanced over at Peyton and Carver, noticing their distracted states. “This day feels like it’s dragging on forever, doesn’t it?” she remarked, trying to break the silence.Peyton looked up, offering a weak smile. “Yeah, it’s hard to focus on anything else right now.”Carver nodded in agreement, his eyes reflecting the turmoil within. “Every time I try to work, I just keep replaying the courtroom scene in my head.”As the day neared its end, the silence was punctured by the ping of Ava’s phone. She checked the message, her face brightening instantly. “A

He was excited about what he was doing and that much was clear.Peyton was still sprawled out on their bed, unaware of the tension between Ava and Carver. The flicker of the camera’s light while she showered had rattled Ava, and Carver’s nonchalant dismissal... claiming it wasn’t him...had done little to comfort her.“Carver,” Ava said, sharper than intended. “I know I saw it. Why would the camera light be on if not for someone watching?”He didn’t look up immediately, focusing on the screen as he tapped away on the keys. “I told you, Ava, it wasn’t me. Maybe it’s a malfunction.”“A malfunction,” she echoed, skepticism threading through her tone. “How convenient. After finishing the omelets, Peyton handed Carver a couple of pills, which he took without protest. They all moved into the living room, with Carver walking with difficulty. Ava, ever attentive, wrapped a blanket around him and helped him settle on the couch. Peyton, needing a moment to gather his thoughts, turned on the TV and sat in a chair, his mind still racing with the revelations and the situation at hand. Peyton, looking intently at Carver, broke the silence. "Okay, is there anything else you want to admit? Get it out right now, so I can start to get over this agitation," he said through gritted teeth. Carver paused, weighing his words carefully. "I... I changed my contract at Esmerelda's," he finally admitted, his voice low and filled with a sense of defeat and embarrassment. Peyton sat up straighter, his attention sharpened. "How exactly did you change it?" he asked, a hint of worry creeping into his tone. "I added intimate encounters," Carver confessed, avoiding Peyton'

As they settled Carver in the bed, Ava began the task of undressing him. His jeans, the same pair he had been wearing when he first arrived at Esmerelda's over a week ago, were tattered and stained with blood. Carefully, she helped him into a pair of pajama pants and one of his T-shirts. It became apparent that Carver had lost a significant amount of weight; the shirt, which would have once fit him snugly, now hung loosely on his frame.“When was the last time you ate?” Ava asked gently, her concern evident in her tone.Carver’s response was faint, “I don’t even know.”Peyton, sensing the immediate need, headed into the kitchen to make soup, considering it the most appropriate and easy-to-digest food for Carver in his current state. While Peyton was away, Carver, with a sudden surge of energy, rolled over and pulled Ava into a tight embrace. As she held him, Ava realized he was burning up with fever. “You’re so hot,” she whispered, her worry growing.Peyton returned with the soup, and

Carver's fever worsened, a clear sign that his body was struggling to cope with the injuries. The infections from the wounds were not properly treated, adding to his physical distress. His once muscular and resilient body was now a canvas of suffering, each mark a story of his descent into despair.Esmerelda, witnessing his decline, realized that Carver was on a path to self-destruction. His disregard for his physical well-being was alarming, but it was his mental state that worried her the most. He had become a shell of the man he once was, driven by a need to punish himself that was consuming him from the inside. The fever brought with it delirium, and Carver began to lose touch with reality. His moments of lucidity were few and far between, and during these moments, he was haunted by visions of Peyton and Ava. Esmerelda's sharp rapping on the truck window jolted Carver awake. Blinking against the sunlight streaming through the glass, he saw her standing outside, her appearance strikingly different in the daylight. Gone was the dominatrix persona, replaced now by a more business-like demeanor."I can't have my patrons sleeping in their trucks out front, Carver," Esmerelda stated, her tone a mix of annoyance and concern.Carver, still disoriented from sleep, responded, “Well, I own the fucking building, give me a room.”Esmerelda paused, considering his request, before nodding in agreement. “Okay, fine,” she conceded. She led him inside the building, guiding him to her personal apartment. The space was unlike the rest of Esmerelda’s establishment; it was more reflective of her day-to-day life, less about her professional role. She pointed to the couch. “You can sleep there,” she said, her voice softer now, a hint of empathy creeping through.Exhausted, Carver collapsed onto the couch, his bod

As Carver unbuttoned his shirt, the receptionist silently entered the room behind him. Observing the scene sternly, Esmerelda gave a slight nod to the receptionist. In response, the receptionist sharply smacked her clipboard against Carver’s bare back, chastising him for prematurely disrobing. "No one told you to do that," she reprimanded. Carver, startled, slowly rebuttoned his shirt, his gaze never leaving Esmerelda. He was well aware of the rule against making direct eye contact in such circumstances, yet he could not look away, a silent rebellion against the order of things. A quiet plea for more pain. Esmerelda informed the receptionist that Carver had chosen the 'unlimited' path for tonight's session. The receptionist's smile turned wicked at the revelation. Carver had never before given them such control, and the anticipation of what they could do with this newfound power was evident in her expression. Led through the new halls of Esmerelda's, Carver couldn’t help but notic
