TANIA:

Silence swept across the entire room for a brief moment and I could clearly see the shock on Riya's face. I was even surprised to hear Talon say that on my behalf. He had been silent throughout the time that Riya was bombarding me with questions and just when I thought that I was going to be stuck with her, he came like a volcano and silenced her.

"Let me be the one to make decisions about where she is going to stay and what she is going to do. Besides, you have no idea how long she is going to stay," Talon said, referring to Riya who was still abased at his words.

Then he turned his gaze towards the rest of the Pack and said to them;

"Is there anyone that still has something to ask Tania? Do so now cos I'm taking her upstairs with me."

Wow, as simple as that sounded, I couldn't help but admit that it was hot. I couldn't deny the tingling feeling that went through my spine. How could such plain words like that sound so...so racy? Talon spoke as though I was his woman. As if he

    As soon as I heard him, I felt every flow of life become static inside of me. How come I didn't know that? But my teachers told me that... Yeah right, that was 7 years ago. Of course it was possible that Black Fur had changed their name. Valeria was a small kingdom after all and seven years was such a long time already.I just hoped that Talon wasn't thinking that I was a pretender or worse still, a bad person that had come to spy on them."With the state you were in a few hours ago, you didn't seem like someone that had come seeking for greener pastures. You were tense. In a rush to escape and then..."And then I saved you. Was that what he was trying to say?"And then you were almost attacked." Talon continued. "Can you boldly tell me to my face that you have come seeking for greener pastures?" He asked."Even if it were to be you, would you go straight and answer her question knowing fully well that your answer will determine how you are being treated?" I rolled my eyes away and re

    My body jolted immediately I saw him standing in front of me. My heart began to pound fast inside my chest and there I was seated with no single word coming out of my mouth, instead my eyes were widened in surprise and I could tell that he was enjoying the look on my face. A smirk cornered his lips and then he offered his hand in help to me. What was that for? Did I tell him that I needed any help?"You don't have to be stubborn. Come let's go to bed," Talon said to me and as strange as that sounded, I couldn't deny the fact that it sounded fruity to my ears.He said it as though we were a couple that was trying to resolve relationship issues and I felt this tingling sensation in my body which continued to send perpetual ripples in my spine. His voice and the tone with which he said it with, it was just so beautiful to hear but I had to maintain as if I wasn't moved by it."But I told you that I'm comfortable here. Why can't you just leave me to stay where I deem fit for me?" I aske

    "How long will you continue to stare at me, Tania?" Talon spoke surprisingly even with his eyes closed, his deep voice enclosing me in fear. I wondered how he knew that I was staring at him. Maybe it was his sixth sense but as soon as I heard him, I immediately withdrew myself and lay on my side facing the opposite side.My eyes were wide open, my eyeballs moved from side to side in curiosity as to whether he was staring at me as well. I felt a slight disturbance in the bed and I heard the sheet move. I was so tempted to turn around and look -- I wanted to see if Talon was doing something weird but that would only make matters worse so I stayed put and pretended as though I was sleeping.My heart pounded heavily inside my chest and I shut my eyes close. I heard something moving by my side. Talon was moving beside me -- it was as if he was coming close to me but since I wasn't sure about it, I didn't react at all.And then I felt it...His hand. Gently placed on my arm, his touch sent

    I stayed still, allowing his words to comfort me. I wanted to trust him and I was going to trust him. Besides, it was already too late to say no now. My body wanted the feel of his hands and my mind was prepared for the things he was going to do to help me relax. It was all about what he wanted to do to me and how it was going to affect me-- even the ambience was in synchronization of the high-strung moment."So just relax and let me take care of you. You are my guest, remember?" Talon said to me and I immediately laid back on the bed -- as if I was surrendering completely to him. "Do not say a word. Just be still..."I did as I was told and he started to perform things with his fingers. The thought that I couldn't see what he was doing but feel it instead was sexy enough and I was trying to keep my thoughts together. My body quivered as soon I felt his hands on my thighs. I felt his fingers make invisible patterns on it which sent a sort of sensational feeling around my torso and th

    "Alright then. Get on the bed," Talon said to me in a somewhat commanding voice(even though I knew that he didn't mean it that way).I braced myself for the worst, not knowing what to expect and how it would come but I did as I was told and laid on my stomach while I turned my face to the other side of the bed.I felt the sheets move and I knew instantly that Talon had climbed the bed but funny enough, I felt relaxed. The constant pounding in my chest and my static state had freezed and more than ever, I think I was ready to accept whatever he was going to do to me. Was it trust or was it just me being tired? I had no idea but all I was certain of is that my body settled down and was ready to welcome his touch.His hands graced the softness of my towel. I could feel it all over my back, searching for something and I knew what it was so I gently lifted myself a bit from the bed and unraveled the knot from underneath my armpit and lay down almost immediately.Talon then continued by pul

    Now that I thought of it, did I really want to stay here or not? Was this land as promising as it looked? Even if the latter was the answer, where else would I go? If I left this place without any idea where I was going to or who I was going to meet, then there is a high chance that I would be in trouble."Can you give me some time to think about it?" I told him. "I appreciate the favor but I don't want to rush and make a decision. I just want to take my time and know if staying here will be the right thing for me.""Women. Always confused but still very difficult to understand," Talon commented.Whatever that meant. "Do you want me to stay, Talon?" I asked him. I knew that it wasn't going to change anything but I mean, wasn't it better for me to find out the opinion of the one who harbored me than rushing to make a decision like that?"It depends on you. I have no right to choose who stays in my kingdom and who doesn't unless you are a transgressor.""A transgressor? How do you defi

    As I was about to turn around and walk towards the bathroom door, the room door flung open and Talon walked in.My body froze immediately our eyes met and I could see that he was as shocked as I was. But he wasn't alone and I was grateful that they were women. They held clothes and some other things that I was too distracted to identify.I rushed to pick up the towel which I freely allowed to fall to the ground and hugged it together. If only I picked it sooner, I would have stopped this awkward situation from happening in the first place.If there was anything I wished for it to happen right now, it would be for the ground to open up and swallow me immediately. Just last night, Talon asked me to strip in front of him and I refused and now... Now I had just given him a full view of my naked body without any reason whatsoever.Talon took a few steps towards the room. I watched his lips open and shut almost immediately -- as if he had something to say but didn't know how to say it."I u

A conversation that I wasn't ready for."Is this what this is about? I thought Talon said that Ascot treats their guests benevolently?" I asked her though I admit that I got a little too bold right there.Riya scoffed, glancing at the ceiling before shifting her stare at me. "He is already telling you about Ascot. All these were made possible because of our determination to get things right and I am grateful for it.Talon and I strolled through the kingdom of Crescida, the cobblestone streets beneath our feet echoing with each step. The bustling marketplaces and lively taverns slowly faded into the background as we ventured beyond the familiar paths. Tall stone buildings and intricately carved archways lined our way, whispering tales of the kingdom's storied past.As we wandered, the ambiance shifted. The air grew cooler, carrying with it the scent of moss and damp earth. We followed a meandering path that led us away from the town, guided by the whispers of rustling leaves and the distant sound of flowing water.Soon, we found ourselves ascending a rugged mountain, its slopes adorned with ancient trees and lush vegetation. Tania's POVI could hardly believe my eyes as we breached the gates of Crescida. The sight that awaited us in the city square was heart-wrenching and ignited an inferno of rage within me.
