TANIA'S POV
Lexi screamed at the top of his voice the moment he felt my teeth penetrate into his flesh. I could even see the maidens hold their mouths with their hands in shock and their eyes widened at my painful deed. They were already used to my stubbornness but I am sure that they didn't expect what I did at all. I was not the type that held patience and even if I was to exhibit traits pertaining to that, it definitely won't be with this perverted man.Lexi pulled my hair backwards forcefully. I could see his eyes turn red with rage. If it were possible for the eyes to spit out fire, I am sure that he would have burnt me right away with it. He gritted his teeth and he held my hair so tightly that I thought that it was going to come right off from my scalp.A sharp gasp escaped my lips as I felt those forceful hands at the back of my head. I tried to shake myself off from his painful grip but with each attempt I made, he ended up dragging it more backwards."I see that you have refused to change, Tania. But guess what? You just ended up turning me on. Why don't we get started?" His face brightened with a mix of dreadfulness and his voice, rapid with an addition of sternness. He then turned his attention towards the maidens and yelled. "Leave! I am going to claim my bride before the marriage ceremony."The maiden scrambled on their feet and left the room one after the other. I couldn't see them but I could hear their retreating steps, almost as if they were going to stumble upon each other."What do you say, Princess? Oh I forgot, you are no longer a princess," he laughed maniacally, as if he was mocking me but I said nothing. I was only waiting for the right opportunity to attack him because unlike the others, I wasn't afraid of him.Lexi leaned towards my neck and sniffed. I didn't know if he was trying to inhale my scent or if he was trying to mark me but whichever one it was, I was only going to react if he was going to do the latter."You smell of soap. How wonderful it will be if I just..." His warm breath touched my skin and irritation welled up inside me. "If I just..."What exactly was he trying to say right now? Was he trying to say that he couldn't wait to mark me or was he trying to impose the other thing? I was still thinking about these things and how I was going to get away from him when he yanked me up from my seat, the force from his pull causing me to sigh and then pushed me to the bed.I winced in pain as I felt my back connect with the wooden edge of the bed, sending sharp pain around a particular spot which I couldn't really concentrate on before landing on the soft bed. He was so quick with his movements that I didn't even figure that that was what he was going to do at that time. With my lips slightly opened and my eyes broadened in shock and disbelief, I retreated backwards using my elbows and the sole of my feet to crawl away from him."You can't run away from me, Tania. You are mine. You are mine to claim. You are mine to mark. You are mine," Lexi began to take off his wedding apparel.I initially thought that he was teasing me when he said that he was going to claim me before the marriage rites and now, before my very eyes, I could attest that he wasn't joking at all.It didn't just make sense...Alpha King Avalon has been saving me from getting ripped off by the other hungry Alphas and Betas of Crescida and that was simply because he wanted his son, Lexi to marry a woman with class untouched. It wasn't like I had class right now but at least I was still royalty – I still have the blood of my late father flowing through my veins and that was enough for the king. Despite the fact that he killed my father, Alpha King Devon, he couldn't deny that I was still his daughter and I had his blood -- the blood of royalty. The blood of nobility and the blood of an Alpha.Lexi had not been around the kingdom for many years. He had sojourned to a distant land – I heard that it was a special place for training mighty men who hailed from prominent backgrounds. They called it Porteda; a place where young men were trained to become mighty men of war and great Alphas and Betas. He returned from Porteda after many years and for a welcome gift, I was to be married to him as his bride. Now here I was about to be torn away by this dreadful man who had no sense of pity or reasoning. He dragged my legs towards him trying to strip me of my clothes but I was quick to kick him in his stomach which caused him to stumble backwards. Before he could get his stance to attack me, I carried the nearest weapon my hands could find; a metal jar which was situated by the side of the bed and hit him as hard as I could on his head and then I ran away from the room. The sound of the jar resonated quickly in the room and I could only imagine the impact my hit had on him.Even from where I was, I could hear his screaming voice from inside, gradually fading away with each racing step I took. "Tania!!!" Lexi screamed my name from inside and what followed next was silence. This was my chance. This was my only chance to escape this wicked Alpha, his wicked father and their wicked kingdom. As at that time, I knew that I had only a few minutes before Lexi would get himself and come after me. It was going to be easy to escape now. The guards would definitely ignore me seeing that I was dressed in expensive royal apparel.I threaded carefully even though my heart was racing like a horse in battle. I managed to maneuver through the guards with calculated strolling steps. They didn't suspect me at the slightest since that night was the almighty wedding night. Majority of them spent their guarding time drinking and anticipating the marriage of their Lord and Alpha, Lexi, so it was going to be easier for me to find my way out of there. After cornering and angling my way around the place, I found myself racing deep into the woods.I panted as I ran through the dark forest, the wind blowing against my face and swaying my long brown hair in the air. I ran without looking back and without knowing where exactly I was going. The only thing on my mind then was just to escape. To escape from the hands of the slavers and from the hands of my aggressive husband-to-be.All thanks to the Moon Goddess I had the speed of a true Wolf. Despite all the vesture worn by me, I still managed to run with it even as heavy as it was.At some point, my dress got stuck by some thorny shrubs, hindering me from proceeding. I dragged my dress away from the thorns, some parts torn and some parts still gripped by the thorns. My only option was to tear the dress off myself and for once I was grateful to the Moon Goddess again that night that I was a shifter.I held out my hand and my claws popped out of my hands. Without wasting time I immersed my claw into the fabric – that way it would be easier to tear off the dress since it was a thick material that couldn't be torn with bare hands – and then I tore off my dress, leaving it halfway on my thighs and of course, that was followed with a few scratches from the thorns on my bare skin.I winced in pain as I felt the sharp pointed end of thorns on my bare leg but that wasn't my problem. My problem was to leave this place before the guards of Crescida noticed my absence. Before they chase after me and catch me in my struggle. Just as I was about to continue my race into the woods, I began to hear stamping footsteps from behind me.My fear. The exact thing that I was thinking just a few minutes ago had finally manifested itself. My enemies...They had now been notified of my escape and they had come in their numbers to get me. Now it was now time for me to escape the thorns that were laid out on the ground and the more slowly I tried in order to prevent myself from getting hurt, the more their footsteps approached.I finally succeeded in releasing myself from the thorns and continued to run, avoiding getting caught by The Demilune Pack.I turned my face backwards to see if I could get a glimpse of my enemies and before I could turn back to face my direction, I felt strong hands pull me to the side.TANIA'S POVThe next thing I felt after those strong hands pulled me over to the side was my ass hitting the ground and before I could understand what was happening around me, I yelled out immediately I saw a black wolf jump out from the other side to attack me but there was someone that stood in place of me. It was a man. At least I could tell from the visible outline that curbed out from my night vision. He pulled me and began to battle with the Wolf. It even made me wonder if he had seen it before he pulled me to the side. That explains it – he saw the wolf coming to attack me and then he saved me right on time.I panicked as I beheld the fight that continued between the animal and the man. I was still uncertain as to whether the wolf was a pure animal or a werewolf turned animal but either way I dragged myself backwards trying to find solace in the nearest tree that could protect me from the deadly combat. As soon as I settled in, curling myself to the ground with my knees hugging
TANIA'S POVMy eyes widened as soon as my eyes met with his and he released his hand from my mouth."What are you thinking?" Came his low pitched voice as he continued to stare into my eyes with our bodies still pressing against each other. This was the first time that I was hearing him speak and his voice sounded different from other voices that I have heard before. There was no word for it. Or maybe there was but I just couldn't describe it. Stern? Yes, that one was for sure. Deep? I think Baritone was better, but that wasn't the word I was looking for yet. Fruity… That was it. This was the perfect word that I could use to describe him. His voice was stern, vivid but fruity, especially with the way he asked me that question.I felt ripples of an intense feeling surge through my body. That was definitely a first. That was the first time I felt that way after hearing a man speak. Or maybe it was the cold, I convinced myself. I cleared my throat and pushed away, creating a space for me
TANIA'S POVI hesitated at first because I still had my doubts about him but then I reminded myself that this man saved me and it was his place that I was going to. If he wanted to harm me then there would have been no need for him to save me from the Night Wolf. But what if he saved me to present me as a feast for his people? If that was the case, then he wouldn't have threatened to leave me to die here in the woods under this freezing cold?Aside from that, there was just this aura of comfort that I felt around this man. I didn't know him but it felt as though he was someone that was worth knowing. Or someone that is worth being with. Maybe I was being delusional. Why was I even reasoning these things at this time as if I had another option aside from accepting his hand?Without further hesitation, I placed my hands in his and good Goddess, his hands were warm to the touch. Warm enough to stop the goosebumps that rose up consistently on my skin. If only I can get him to hug me right
TANIA:So there was a celebration after all. I wasn't wrong in my perception as I thought that the inaudible noises weren't ordinary. How come there was an ongoing celebration and Talon decided to spend his night in the woods? What was he even doing there in the first place? He led the way and I followed but I was still curious as to why he wasn't joining them in whatever it was they were celebrating."How come you are not partaking in the ceremony? Aren't you one of them?" I inquired, cocking my head to the side to get a glimpse at his face. Who knows? He might be angry about something. There was just no way that his people would be celebrating something and he decided to be in the forest, killing a wolf and saving me. "I don't like noise. Ceremonies are..." Talon hummed. "...tiring.""So are you saying that you don't want to partake just because it's noisy? Is that why you went into the woods?""Yes. Whenever I'm bored, I go for a hunting spree. Too bad it didn't go as I planned. I
What did he mean by he was going to help me get enough of him and it was going to happen gradually? Of course I couldn't ask him that. I had already bombarded him with enough questions for the night and I thought he deserved a moment of peace and quiet. We continued quietly until we got to the town square. The cheering sounds of the people became more audible as we had now neared the center of the celebration. There was just so much going on; the vibrating sounds of drum beats filled the air, young women danced to the melody of the music in feather outfits swaying their hips from side to side, the older women played the timbres and cymbals, clapping their hands and stomping their feet on the ground in rhythm of the music. Stunt men performed all sorts of tricks -- like taking fire into his mouth and spitting it out into the air while the people cheered on. Children giggled and wiggled their way through the crowd playing and having their own kind of fun and so many other interesting t
TANIA:"Whoa!" I exclaimed as I beheld one of the most amazing sights that I have ever seen.Talon and I just got into the house. The word house was an understatement. It was more like a palace even though I knew that it was a place that housed him and his pack.Constructed antiques stood together in a row beautifying the walls of the hallway and giving it this old familiar look of my lesson school back in Porthove. My teachers would have loved to see these things. If only they were standing next to me right now, they wouldn't hesitate to give me lectures on what they think about the pieces. Silver plated candlesticks were laid out on the wall with lit candles on them, illuminating the passage and the entire house. The smell of spice and myrrh filled my nostrils and I couldn't help but wonder what more there was in the house.I followed Talon to the stairs and I wasted no time in running my hands on the banister. It was cold and smooth to the touch, giving me a sense of home. How I wi
"Will you just calm down, Tania? What is wrong with you? Are you acting this way just because you are seeing my--" Talon dropped his hands. I was sure that he was tired of me at this point. Maybe he was asking himself what kind of girl I was and why I was reacting like that but how was I expected to act like? Was I supposed to gasp in awe and wrap my hands around his neck just because an Alpha stripped in front of me?Why the hell was he so bold? Was he usually like this around the females? Immediately I began to wonder how many maidens have gotten a glimpse of what I was seeing? I have never been so shocked in a long time as I was at that very moment.I didn't even mind that my feet were dirty and I stepped on the neatly dressed bed covered with white sheets."Just a while ago, you were bothered about staining the floor with your dirty feet and now look at you," Talon commented, his hand gesturing towards the faintly stained bed.Yeah right, at this point I knew I had to come down. I
My ears must have been deceiving me. I stood frozen for the greater part of time in front of Talon as I tried to assimilate what he had just said. Or should I say commanded."What?! I should do what!" I repeated, my eyes widened in both shock and curiosity. The temperature in the room dropped instantly -- it felt as though my entire body was on heat. I guess it was that one word that he spilled out that made me feel that way.Strip....The last time I heard such a word was in Crescida, by one of the Betas of Demilune Pack. I could vividly remember what had happened that day when I was asked to serve the Alphas and Betas that were holding a meeting. As was with male werewolves, it was never difficult for them to lust after a woman since they had a higher sex drive than the women.I could remember the disgust that filled my eyes when I saw them smack the butts of the females from my pack, The Blue Moon Pack. Some of them would lay hold of their breasts as the ladies bent to pour them dr
Tania's POVAs the golden sun dipped below the horizon, casting a soft, ethereal glow upon the magnificent palace grounds, the day of our enchanting wedding had finally arrived. The air was charged with an electric anticipation, and the moon hung high in the night sky, ready to bear witness to the union of our hearts. The palace, adorned with intricate carvings and adorned with delicate moonlit tapestries, stood as a symbol of our ancient heritage. Towering columns lined the grand hall, their surfaces adorned with vibrant flora and intertwined silver vines. The scent of wildflowers and pine wafted through the air, adding an intoxicating touch to the mystical atmosphere.I stood at the entrance of the grand hall, my bridal gown flowing around me in shades of moonlight. The fabric shimmered with silver thread, mimicking the celestial radiance of the night sky. Delicate moonstones adorned my hair, cascading down like cascades of stardust. The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant how
Tania's POVOh, Talon," I whispered, my heart swelling with a mix of emotions. His words resonate deeply within me, unraveling the layers of pain and sacrifice he had endured. The weight of his past struggles became palpable, and I realized how profoundly he had suffered for the sake of a kingdom that was not his own. Talon's selflessness and unwavering determination painted him as a true embodiment of love.Without hesitation, I enveloped him in a tender embrace, seeking to provide solace and comfort. Tears welled in my eyes as I realized the magnitude of his sacrifice and the pain he had carried silently. I couldn't help but feel a tinge of regret for my initial overreaction, for not taking the time to hear his side of the story. If only I had known that it was my own kingdom he had fought to protect, I would never have fled from his side. With a heavy heart, I uttered an apology, the words pouring forth with sincerity. I expressed remorse for not giving him the chance to share his
Tania's POVFor the first time in seven years I felt like I belonged. Crescida, a land which was my worst nightmare before, had become a place similar to home. All these were made possible because of our determination to get things right and I am grateful for it.Talon and I strolled through the kingdom of Crescida, the cobblestone streets beneath our feet echoing with each step. The bustling marketplaces and lively taverns slowly faded into the background as we ventured beyond the familiar paths. Tall stone buildings and intricately carved archways lined our way, whispering tales of the kingdom's storied past.As we wandered, the ambiance shifted. The air grew cooler, carrying with it the scent of moss and damp earth. We followed a meandering path that led us away from the town, guided by the whispers of rustling leaves and the distant sound of flowing water.Soon, we found ourselves ascending a rugged mountain, its slopes adorned with ancient trees and lush vegetation. The hike was
Tania's POVI could hardly believe my eyes as we breached the gates of Crescida. The sight that awaited us in the city square was heart-wrenching and ignited an inferno of rage within me. There, in the center, stood Talon, my lover, the leader of Ascot and beacon of hope for my people's freedom, bound to a stake, his body marked by cruel lashes. The crowds jeered and mocked, reveling in his humiliation. How could they do that to their own?Fury surged through my veins, and I sprinted towards Talon, my heart pounding in my chest. "Tania," he called out but I ignored, my sole focus was only to free him. The ropes that constricted him strained against his struggles, a twisted symbol of his captivity. I drew my blade with a determined hand, slashing through the ropes that held him captive. Each cut felt like a strike against the tyranny that had oppressed our people for far too long.As the ropes fell away, I cradled Talon in my trembling arms, my hands a mixture of anger and tenderness
Tania's POVAs I emerged from the dark confines of the dungeon, Matilda's frail form leaned heavily against me. Her face was pale, etched with exhaustion and the torment she had endured during her captivity. With each step, I supported her, guiding her towards the haven of safety that awaited us—the Pack's house. The journey seemed endless, the weight of responsibility resting upon my shoulders. Matilda's breathing was labored, a testament to her weakened state. Yet, determination fueled my every stride. The Pack's house was our destination, a sanctuary where Matilda could receive the care and support she desperately needed. As we approached the house, the chaos that unfolded within its walls became apparent. Shouts reverberated through the air, punctuated by the occasional crash. Fear coursed through my veins, gripping me with uncertainty. What had transpired in my absence? I hope nothing has happened to Talon nor any member of the Pack? Just as my worry reached its peak, I caught a
Tania's POVI have never experienced true satisfaction upon accomplishing a feat. Although I anticipated that defeating Dolph would drain every ounce of my energy, I was proven wrong. The intervention of the Moon Goddess made the task surprisingly effortless, and now it was time to rescue Matilda from that dreadful room. However, before I could proceed, I needed to neutralize any potential dangers lurking within the house, whether they were servants or guards. There was one particular guard who had caught me snooping around the enigmatic door during my previous visit. He presented a potential threat, and it was imperative that I eliminate him swiftly and decisively. Additionally, I was determined to leave no stone unturned in my quest to ensure Matilda's safety and bring an end to the chaos that Dolph had caused.I swiftly snatched the keys from Dolph's side, urgency pulsating through my veins. With no time to spare, my sole mission was to rescue Matilda and reach the Pack house with
Tania's POVI spent an entire day desperately searching for any means of escape from the confines of the room where Matilda and I were being held captive. Matilda had repeatedly warned me that there was no way out, and her words echoed in my mind. After all, she had endured this grim existence for months, devoid of even a glimpse of sunlight. The absence of any windows in this room intensified our suffering, making it a tangible and agonizing experience. This was the pivotal moment, the crossroads where I confronted the choice that would define me. I could either succumb to my doubts and accept the role of a feeble Luna, forever relying on others to rescue me from trouble, burdened by the weight of my kingdom and the fragility of my love. Or I could embrace my inner strength, beseeching the Moon Goddess to unleash the power within me and illuminate a path through this dire predicament. With unwavering resolve, I chose the latter. I made the conscious decision to embody strength and re
Tania's POVI stood alone in a desolate place, the air heavy with an eerie silence. A haunting groan, filled with agony and despair, pierced through the stillness, sending shivers down my spine. I could feel its reverberations deep within my soul, a mournful cry that seemed to echo from the very depths of darkness. As the anguished sound resonated around me, I strained my senses, focusing intently to determine its source. The groan seemed to seep from the very fabric of the environment, as if it were a whispered secret carried by the wind. Was I truly alone in this forsaken place? Could there be a dangerous entity lurking nearby, much like the dreaded Loon, its presence suffusing the air with malevolence?Fear crept up my spine, its icy fingers tightening their grip on my heart. My instincts urged me to find something, anything, that could serve as a weapon against this unseen threat, be it a Loon or any other ominous presence. I sought solace in the tangible, grasping for a means to
Tania's POVAs my mind grappled with the surreal nature of it all, a nagging thought crept in: could this be nothing more than a figment of my imagination? Were my ears truly attuned to reality? Alpha Dolph's words echoed in my mind, stirring a whirlwind of doubt and confusion. Could his shocking revelations possibly be true? Did he truly orchestrate such a nefarious scheme? The sheer audacity and implausibility of it all made it difficult to accept, and yet, the evidence seemed to point in that direction. The Scouts, who had been dispatched to oversee the border, lingered in my thoughts. Their deaths now took on a chilling significance, an ominous clue that had eluded my grasp until now. The cryptic letter, with its enigmatic message, served as an eerie prelude to the events that followed. The brutal attack on the Pack house, a once-secure sanctuary, shattered any remaining doubts and left me reeling with the magnitude of Dolph's deceit. As the puzzle pieces began to fit together, a
