My eyes flipped open and I took in the strange setting. For a few seconds, I felt delusional. I looked around and everything looked unfamiliar but also seemingly familiar.

I was on a large bed that looked like I had shared with someone overnight. Although it seemed empty now and it looked like whoever slept in it had been gone for a long time.

At first, I thought that I was in a bed at the pack's clinic, but my hospital gown was gone and I was naked under the comforter.

The war at The Shifters Pack! My eyes widened as I remembered my decision to help Blake. Why is it all coming back like a residual memory? It's a lag in my memory… is it because I took off when I wasn't totally fit?

I checked my bruises to affirm that I was in the war zone… I was with Blake and… Alpha Joash showed up… He helped out and we won the war. The attackers were those from the Riverside Pack, not Rogues…

Then… Blake said he loved me, but I rejected him and followed Alpha Joash back to the Moonlight Pack…
