Bastian POV
A new day came with the cloudy sky. It was like my mood currently, feeling blue. Why? because I would not able to see her face in the morning, exactly in this mansion. Ever, since she stepped into this building, every thing felt different. It was not caused she was my fated mate, but it was affected by my feelings towards her. In other words, I got used with her existence around. Even, if she was eating the breakfast, myself was happy to see her. However, once she decided to move out, I felt like a puppy losing its mom. My spirit was dropped, describing that I was not in a mood to go the office. Yes, that was true, I could organize the company through my right hand, Jeff, but since I was the CEO of the company, I could not be absent from the responsibilities. Around thirty minutes later, I had changed the pajamas into the formal dark blue suit being combined with white shirt and the dark colored jeans.Bastian POV In just fifteen minutes, the mojito I ordered was already in my hand. Then, after I sipped it a little, I began to tell them, "She leaves due to Harper's impulsive behavior." Dave widened his stares and inquired, "What is the relation between my sister and your fated mate? Are they competing or what were they doing??" Then, Carter joined by saying, "Well, there is an unrecuited love in this matter, or maybe love triangle." "Carter is true. As I already told you guys, Harper has a thing for me for years, but I never consider her as a lover or more than just a friend." I recalled the facts I ever shared before to them. The shocking expression clearly painted on Dave's face changed into suspicious, signalling that there must be the cause on why Harper could behave impulsively. In that case, he asked for another time, "Wait, didn't you tell her before, about your feelings towards her?"
Around a couple of minutes later, Harper with her sweaty and wet face attempted to pour the rest of the vodka in the bottle to the glass, but it was stopped by Eleanor. The blonde girl then said, "That's enough already!" "But, it's just a little sip more. I need to finish it." Harper said with her puffy eyes. It was caused by her tears as she cried a few minutes back then. She cried due to her hopeless romantic love story with Bastian, her crush. However, Eleanor feeling pity with Harper's condition grabbed the glass and the bottle by force in order to stop her friend from sipping the rest of the liquor. "That's already too much, Sist. Let's go home now since you are really drunk," She commanded as she helped Harper to stand still. "No, no. Why should we head back, hm? Take me to Red Iris Mansion, can you??" Harper babbled as she obeyed to put her left arms around Lea's shoulder. "You are drunk, Sist! How ca
Meanwhile, Margie was at Mr. Nikhil's office. The lawyer werewolf who also owned a branch office in Brown Iris Pack firstly showed the soft copy of the divorce paper to Margie. "Please check the details stated in the paper carefully, so that if there might be mistakes, I could fix it." He ordered. "Wait for a few moments." Margie darted her grey orbs to the screen carefully. Even, she read it in silence so that she could understand its detail perfectly. In less than twenty minutes, she found that every sentence and clause stated in the paper was right. Then, she resolved, "Fine. This paper can be printed and signed." 'All right. Thank you for the cooperation. Now, let me print it first." Nikhil nodded and started to process the document. In a few seconds, the electrical device made the noises as it pulled and wrote on the blank paper prepared. Once it had been finished, Nikhil informed, "First, you need to sign in th
Margareth POV As I prevented him through the reminder, my grey orbs were in the staring war with his reddish brown Iris. It was pretty obvious that his wolf, Eldrich, was not so happy with the rejection and the bad rumor known by the rest of the pack members. I could sense the anger of him since he was still in love with my wolf, Emma. However, it didn't affect my decision to be separated from Xavier. In that case, I assured him by saying, "Can we talk inside? It's not comfortable to have a discussion here. Other people may hear us." "Right." Xavier agreed. While I stepped inside the castle, Xavier asked me to sit at the living room. After that, I immediately took out the divorce paper and explained, "Based on Mr. Nikhil's instruction, you need to sign this paper before the council process and accept it." Xavier just nodded in his silent mode. He then took the pen I gave and signed the divorce pap
Margareth POV "Let's have a fight in the forest." Jessie said as she got on to the car and started the engine. I frowned and inquired, "Is that what they want? Why can't we have a discussion instead? I'm afraid that we can't beat them. The red hair woman looks strong enough to make us collapsed." "It's not her having beef with you, Margie." Jessie uttered. Then, she continued, "It's her friend who has a trouble instead. Don't forget to remind your wolf to stand by." "Seriously. It's useless!" I whined. "Just face the music although you are not a well-trained she-wolf." Jessie cheered me as she sped up farther than the green car at the back. I could see it through the rearview mirror. -**- "KRIK!" The sound of dry leaves was heard once I got out from the car and stepped on the dry leafy ground, at the centre of the forest. At the same time, Harper just arrive
Margareth POV I slowly opened my eyes as I felt the sunlight kissed my skin. Then, I looked around the grassy ground along with the bushes and the trees. I realized that it was not the forest where I was fighting with Jessie last time. "Where am I? It's such a grassy land with the air breezing towards my skin. Am I died already?" I pondered as my orbs kept checking the peaceful surrounding where a few of butterflies and other insects could be noticed. As she pondered, the tall woman with curly brown long hair appeared from the back and said, "No, you are not died. You are under my care." "Moon Goddess? Is this really you?" I frowned with a doubt in my stare. The woman with emerald iris eyes was smiling at me and extended her hand as she said, "Welcome to my private land." I just accepted her hand and did the hand shake. Then, I replied, "Anyway, I really feel gratitude because your blessing towards my
Bastian POV When the time was around 11.30 a.m, I decided to have a break at the cafetaria with Beta Ashton. While I have opened a can of espresso, the blonde guy in front of me started the conversation, "I never see you behave like this, Alpha. It's very rare." I sipped the black and bitter-taste liquid and replied, "What do you mean by, Ashton?" "I mean with the other women, you don't really put much concern towards them. They were known to be charming either, but they didn't seem to attract you." Beta Ashton stated the fact that made me remember about a few years back, when my parents were busy matchmaking me with other random she-wolves. I smiled a bit as some moments from the past memories appeared in my brain. I realized that I was pretty desperate in finding his fated mate, so I agreed whenever my parents tried to matchmake me with the random she-wolves. Yet, it didn't go well like what they ever
Bastian POV I really prepared a few things to impress Margie, either she was still fainted or in awaken condition. However, the most hateful scene appeared as I stepped inside the VIP room. The Alpha who had rejected and betrayed my fated mate came, as if nothing happened between them. That was why I asked him rudely. Moreover, I also asked him to leave the room because I was afraid if he would harm Margie physically or mentally for another time. Nonetheless, after I casted him away, he replied, "Well, no need to over possessive towards her. She and I haven't attended the court for finalizing the divorcing process. Another fact, she needs to give up her title in the modest ceremony." "But she needs more rest now. Just look at how exhausted she is." I found a good reason to make him leave although it might not the best one. "All right. I give up this time, just because I don't want to hear a pup barking for being
Margareth POV His touch and gazes, the things that always succeeded at making my tongue stiffened. I actually wanted to pull back, but it seemed that I was lost in his gentle touch. Yet; when his face got closer to me, I immediately pulled back, as my logic reminded about how the wounds in my heart were. "Well, I'm sorry. I don't mean it." He also gained his consciousness and removed his thumb from my lips directly. He then avoided his eyes from mine while taking a new glass and pouring the rest of orange juice into it. Along with his sudden action, I walked further and permitted myself, "I'll go showering first then. Bye for now." He just nodded, letting me disappear from his sight. Furthermore, I entered the bedroom and opened the water to fulfill the bathtub. I was in a mood for soaking my body in the warm water which was full of foamy body soap. Once it was enough, I added a little amount of bubble
Bastian POV I knew she might recognize the attraction between us gradually. Nevertheless, I could not let it happen through the time being. It was like wasting my time mostly. If she ended up with me finally, it would be a blessing, but if it was not like that, what should I do then? That was why I initiated to buy a medium-size bouquet of roses for showing her my true intention. People might thing that it was too flashy, but I didn't care. For me now, I wanted her to realize that I would always be available for her. After she acknowledged my motives, I heard her soft voice sweeping my hearing sense, "Why do you choose me? I don't feel attractive even though I have a right to find someone new." "Because I want to be commited to you. I know words may not be the strong proofs, but let me show them that I'm serious with you." I walked towards her as I said. Then I gently grabbed her hands.
When the afternoon arrived, Margie decided to meet Jessie in the nearest cafe around Red Iris Mansion. Her sudden meeting was caused by her friend's announcement about several job vacancies she had listed. "Here are the lists of the vacancy. A few of them are from my company, while the others can be from certain companies in this pack." Jessie extended the folder where some papers were attached. Then, Margie took a look at them one by one. "They are pretty strict, especially when it comes about educational background," She commented with the bitterness in her words. She realized that she didn't have any magister degree that might support her resume. "No worries. You can also have a freelance job which is quite useful and paid." Jessie calmed her while sipping her caramel macchiato. At the same time, the waitress was serving a plate of parmigiana chicken wings and baked potato wedges with moza
Margareth POV "Ehm.." I mumbled as I still closed my eyes. At the same time, my right hand was moving around the bedside table, grabbing my phone to turn off the morning alarm. Once I did it, I gradually opened my eyes. At the point, the dizziness conquered my head. "Sshh.." I hissed as the hurt in my head existed, just like it was nagging towards me who drunk so much the previous night. "KLEK.." The sound of the opened door knob whispered to my ears. Through the door, I could notice the Alpha coming with a tray which was completed with breakfast and a glass of yellow liquid that I didn't get familiar with. "Am I waking you up?" Bastian asked as he put the tray on the bedside table. "N-No.. hsss.." I replied and hissed, enduring the pain in my head. Then, Bastian approached me and sit at the corner of the bed. "Here is the gi
Bastian POV As she complained, the strong scent of wine came out from her red plumpy lips. Therefore, I endured it while trying to make her body stay upright. "Why don't..you drink? hmm?" She uttered with lack of fluency as her left arm was still on my shoulder. With the careful steps and the balance of my body, I carried her out and said, "If I were drunk, how could I help you?" Margie chuckled and leaned on my body closer. She softly whispered to my ear, "Then, it means.. we are drunk to-gether.." I sighed and keep carrying her out. Once we reached the parking area, I put her on the front seat carefully. Without any other delays, I directly started the engine and spun the power steering, letting the car to escape from the parking area to the street which was not so crowded or even noisy. With the focus on the street, I drove carefully. Sometimes,
Margareth POV When Bastian had not replied my utterance, I was stunned by one of the old friends I knew in high school, Elsa Muller. The only reason why I was amazed was her not aging visual. She was at the same age as me, but her looks were like young adults and teenagers. "Margie! It's really you!" She gladfully said and pulled me into her embrace. I then smiled and hugged her eagerly although I was not so close to her. "How have you been?" I released the hug and asked. "I'm fine, Margie, even though I'm quite busy nowadays. With whom are you here?" Elsa responded and began to observe Bastian's existence. She then got startled and inquired in whisper, "How can you go here with the Alpha?? He is such a picky. Don't you know that?" "Well, he invites me here anyway." I stated the truth so that there would not be misunderstanding.
After the divorce trial was finished, all of the attendees were coming out from the trial room. Those two people, Xavier and Margie, walking with their own companions with contrary expressions. The tall figure walking next to Selena kept his stares at Margie, while the she-wolf herself confidently rolled her left hand on Bastian's arm. "I'll make sure she can't live peacefully! I know I already have Selena now, but the fact that Margie looks happier without me makes my blood boiled to the maximum temperature." Xavier spoke in his mind, describing that he was actually frustrated with the effect he received after his affair was discovered. In that case, Selena noticing the frowning forehead of her lover realized that he was unhappy after the divoce was finalized for real. "What's wrong, honey? Any problems bothered you around?" She dared to ask. "That's nothing. I just think of the confusing offers done by some certain
Margareth POV This Alpha really mixed his favorite things with the important jobs and position. To me, it was unnecessary because it would divert his attention from the business he did. Yet, he didn't look bothered while explaining that he might drink in the office. Moreover, his gaze showed that the Alpha was confident enough to express how stressful it was at the working place. It was normal, and he drank with his Beta. However, my mind currently was on the image when he was drunk and might kiss any woman around him. My mind was really sassy from a day ago. I didn't know why, but I could not help myself not to think about wild dirty things about Bastian. Did I start to develop a thing for him? or it was just a sudden obsession towards the Alpha because he could considered as an ideal male-wolf. Although I kept wondering to myself, I still could not conclude it clearly. It happened all of a
Margareth POV "Excuse me, Miss. Mandy. I'd like to meet the CEO. Is he busy?" I bravely approached the secretary and uttered my true purpose in the office. "Let me check after you fill this guest book." The straight hair woman with fascinating visual uttered and gave the guest book to me along with the blue pen. I nodded and filled out the data in the guest book carefully. Once I had finished, I returned it to her by saying, "Here it is." "All right, Miss. Velvela. Let me check if he has a lot on his plate." Miss Mandy fixed her glasses as she said to me. Gently, she knocked and opened the door, letting her eyes peek inside the room. From inside the room, I could hear the Alpha's heavy voice, "What's wrong?" "Miss. Velvela, your guest is outside, Mr. Alford." The secretary uttered openly. "Let her come in." I heard his voice for another ti
