Lillian's POV

"What gift?" I asked, feeling a sudden wave of curiosity.

Alexander looked up at me and gasped as if he hadn't meant for me to hear what he said.

"What is it?" I pressed, searching his face. "You look pale again," I added, reaching for him.

"Nothing," Alexander stuttered, shaking his head. "It's just a—"

"Alex, don't hide anything from me," I said, my tone pleading. "We've been having so many issues in our relationship because we've hidden things from each other. Let's not do that again, please..."

I watched him swallow a lump in his throat, and lower his gaze.

"I didn't mean to hide anything from you," He said with a sigh. "It's just that I didn't want to bother you."

"You aren't bothering me," I said with a soft smile. I held his face gently and whispered, "You're my husband, and you can share your troubles with me. I'll do the same too."

His expression softened at my words.

"I received an envelope earlier," Alexander revealed.

"Envelope? You mean the one that was slip

Lillian's POV."Will Dustin like this color?" I asked myself, raising the red-colored sweater I was knitting."He might like it," A faint smile spread on my lips as I lowered my hands to continue knitting. Knitting had been the most effective way to kill boredom after my accident. The accident that happened three years ago, confined me to a wheelchair and made most of the exciting things in my life a distant memory. My immobility had caused me to be locked away in this huge mansion. Sickened by my loneliness, I sought hobbies to occupy myself, and knitting was my best option."I might add a blue color to the sweater," I muttered. As I continued knitting, I heard the door swing open. Lifting my head, I spotted my husband, Dustin Stone, stepping in.Dustin was a successful billionaire tycoon. In my eyes, he was the most handsome man alive. His dark eyes and deep pink lips were something to die for."Pumpkin, look what I'm making for you," I said, raising the half-made sweater. "What c

  • Saved To Be A Substitute   Her Kidneys

Lillian’s POVDarting my gaze at my tossed wheelchair, frustration surged through me. Crawling over to it would be an incredible struggle. Feeling defeated, I lowered my face to the floor, tears spilling onto it. As more tears rolled on the spot she slapped, my skin burned in irritation. I had always had delicate skin, and tears weren't good for me. But strangely, that wasn't the only spot I felt pain. When I was pushed to the floor by my husband's devilish mistress, one of the knitting pins pierced me. I felt the prick of the needle. I had never felt anything in my legs since the accident. I didn't understand why this happened now, but there was a flicker of hope in my heart. I might walk again. Maybe I was being delusional but I wanted to hold onto the last hope that I could walk again. Maybe, Dustin would love me again. "Lilian!" I lifted my head, and my gaze met with his cold, dark eyes. Those were the eyes I once adored, but they were just hollow orbs to me. "Dustin, why

My breath grew shallow, gasps desperately leaving my lips. It felt like I couldn't breathe. My lungs seemed to reject the very air they had taken in. "You are such a devil!" I screamed, each word going against the little air I had left. "My kidney will never be yours. She will die like the pathetic bitch that she is, and you'll finally know how it feels to lose someone...that you love,"His eyes darkened at my words, but there was no real shock. There was just a deeper malice that sent chills down my spine. "You're a fool, if you think that will happen," He spat, his voice no longer firm, but chillingly void of emotions."Yes I do!" I asserted, my shaky hands slowly reaching up to wipe the tears I didn't realize had fallen already. "You're going to regret everything you've done to me and my father...You could have just found another donor, but you chose someone gullible, someone you could control." "Cut the fucking crap," Dustin sneered, his lips curving into a twisted smile. "I w

  • Saved To Be A Substitute   Lost Love

Alexander’s POVMy car drove through the large York river and I chuckled darkly as my eyes were fixed on the picture in my wallet. I had held onto that picture for the past two years. The woman in the picture was the most beautiful I had ever seen, no one could compete with her radiance. She was a natural beauty, with her long brunette hair, hazel eyes, and plump pink lips. Her curvy figure was so stunning that nearly all the men she encountered wanted her. Yet, she chose me, Alexander McQueen. That was her biggest mistake. She shouldn't have been with someone like me. Every woman sought me but she was different. She loved me differently and didn't even care if I was one of the richest men in the world. I might have been the best man in her life, as she often described me, but if it weren't for my presence, she would still be here. My hand clenched around my wallet as I recalled how she had been kidnapped by an evil rival, never to be found again. I had tried desperately to save

Lillian's POV. My eyes widened as his lips pressed against mine. My mind froze for a second before I wondered why he was kissing me. I thought that he wanted to save me. Did he stop Dustin just so he could take advantage of my situation? Why was everyone trying to exploit my vulnerability? Instinctively, I put my bound hands forward, “Get off me!” I screamed and tried to push him away. His warm hands, however, held my face more firmly, though without hurting me. He continued kissing me, ignoring my feeble attempts at protest. “You bastard!” I cussed. It seemed like all men were nothing but scumbags. A surge of anger filled my veins, and I was about to push him again when I noticed his eyes were closed and tears were visible on his cheeks. Why was he crying? Everything felt so confusing. It wasn't my business what he was doing, though. I just needed to stop him. With renewed strength, I succeeded in pushing him away. His body banged on the edge of the car seat. "Stop it!" I sn

That's the only reason you're alive. But don't mistake my mercy for another chance at stupidity. Give her back to me and disappear."My breath caught in my throat. Alexander McQueen? That name rang a bell but I couldn't quite remember who he was. However, I didn't want Alexander to die because of me. But I didn't want to return to Dustin either. "I don't want him to hurt you," I muttered, placing my hand on his chest without thinking. The warmth of his body seemed to contrast with his cold demeanor. His gaze softened as he looked down at me, "Don't worry, love. I'm gonna keep us safe. I will never let him hurt you again. Just trust m

"Come in," I said, letting him inside. I closed the door behind me and dropped the box on the floor. "Do you know what is inside?" I asked, squinting at the box. "It's just Martin telling me my partners were upset that I left the party abruptly and didn't return.""Since we weren't opening the door, he decided to write it out," I added, lying smoothly."I guess that must be my fault...I mean, you not returning to the party," Lillian muttered, her tone laced with guilt. "I'm sorry...""Don't apologize, Freckles," I said softly. "You did nothing wrong."I walked over to where our clothes were scattered and grabbed my pants, slipping the envelope and letter into the pocket discreetly, hoping she wouldn't notice."Are you sure it's just about your partners being upset?" Lillian asked, her voice tinged with concern."Yes." I nodded. "It's just that I have to pacify them, which requires some work. But it's noth

  • Saved To Be A Substitute   Strange Message

Alexander's POV."Who could that be?" I frowned, glancing toward the door. "Don't answer it," she whispered, cupping my face and pulling me into a deep kiss. I kissed her back, my hands roaming her body. From her hips to her thighs and then to her curves, I took my time savoring her. My hands slid to her ass, and I teasingly trailed two of my fingers between her cheeks. She trembled beneath me, soft moans spilling from her lips. The knock on the door persisted, but I had no intention of answering it, not without giving her more pleasure first. Slowly, I slid my fingers into her warm cunt, causing her hips to grind against me.She broke the kiss, soft cries escaping her lips at the intrusion. Not wanting whoever was outside to hear her, I silenced her with another kiss, this time deeper and more possessive. My fingers moved inside her, matching the rhythm of her grinding hips. The slick heat around them made me throb with need, and my cock slowly thrust into her, teasing us both.

I began to wonder if I was taking the right path instead of just having a conversation.I didn't want to act like Dustin who would take advantage of her with every chance he got.I broke the kiss and held her hands on my face."Nothing is going on between Eva and me," I muttered, seizing the opportunity. "Dustin drugged her at the party, so she could help him with his company. I just couldn't leave her in that state."Her expression remained unreadable after my explanation, so I continued."I took to my Mom's house because she was unwilling to pick her up. I'm sorry if it seemed like we were having any interaction," I said with an apologetic tone. "Eva wasn't in her right state of mind.""Also, I forgot about the party, that's why I didn't tell you. She was persistent and I felt guilty to see her so worried," Martin explained. My heart hammered in my chest, feeling a pang of guilt. I shouldn't have shut her out like that. Maybe she had just wanted to talk or help me calm down. Now, it seemed like I'd ignored her."But...I didn't see her at the party," I said, trailing off as a horrifying realization struck me."Oh no!" Panic surged as I abruptly pulled over at the side of the road."What is it, sir?" Martin asked, nervously. "Did something happen to Mrs Jessica...I mean Lillian.""I think...she saw us," I muttered through my gritted teeth."Saw you and who

But, it wouldn't be fair to leave her with this bastard.I knew Dustin was never up to any good, and the way he was dragging her looked so forceful."Dustin!" I yelled, and he stopped for a moment. He looked at me, narrowing his eyes."Why are you always getting in my way?" He sneered. "Just move along. This isn't any of your business.""How is this not my business?" I snapped, walking hastily toward them. "Let her go now!"Before I could reach them, he released her and she almost fell to the floor. I caught her just in time, but that's when I realized she was drunk."Alexander," She whispered, reaching for my face. "My love, y
