As Sane was walking towards his school, he couldn’t help but remember Seleen’s smiling face. He remembered how her face lit up at the sight of the food, and while she was eating them. However, the look on her face as she answered his question was also stuck in his mind. At that moment, as she talked about the little parts of her story, Sane felt helpless, as if she was too far away to reach even when she was literally sitting beside him.

He wanted to grab her in a gentle manner, afraid that she’d be scared of him if he wouldn’t do it gently, especially after everything that had happened in her life But Sane was too scared to do so, feeling as if he wasn’t even in the right place to stick his nose in her own business.

He never even wanted to leave, but the girl insisted as the janitors would only fi

Sane found out, soon after, that the rest of The Dotish’s members were also dropping out due to their tight schedules. Their calendar was already packed with different gigs, and project deals which did not only mean that they were only going around Penny Lane. Their gigs were more than that, it was already nationwide. They were meant to be known by the people all around the country. The company that they signed with was willing to give them every project possible just for them to be known, and to become one of the most successful rising stars in the industry.Upon knowing that, Sane felt a mixed of emotions on his chest. Sure, he was happy for them, genuinely happy, as he couldn’t stress further how the four of them deserved to be successful in the field. But he still couldn’t stop himself from feeling melancholic because of it. He witnessed firsthand how the band started, a

When Haniel chose to drink the liquor, it only made the people on the table scream even louder, as if just like him, they were already thinking that by her drinking, it was already considered a yes.Sane wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially when there could be a possibility that she did that in order for the situation to be less awkward, if she ever didn’t like him, because it would be too harsh if she’d tell him she didn’t like him in front of everyone. However, it was pretty evident by the way she reacted, and by the way she tried to hide how red her face became, that she really liked the guy. When Sane looked at Nikolaj, he was trying so hard not to smile which only made Claus, Simon and Edmund tease him even more when they saw that. They then proceeded to make the two of them sit beside each o

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Seventeen

When Sane woke up first in the morning, his initial reaction was to immediately curse before feeling the hangover that would ruin his day for two consecutive days in a row. He felt the pain in his head, and it was that kind of pain that seemed like there was a sharp knife inside his skull, and it was being dragged around by an invisible force. Not even a minute after waking up, he felt the need to vomit, but upon seeing that it wasn’t just him in the triple king size bed, he quickly stood before opening the nearest door which luckily happened to be the bathroom. However, when he opened the door, he saw that he wasn’t the only one there as there was a passed out Claus lying on the bathroom floor, and there were even traces of his dried puke on the floor.Utterly feeling the need

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Eighteen

Seleen felt fragile inside Sane’s careful embrace. It was like he was holding a glass in his arms, and that any moment the glass would break. That was why he held her gently as he squeezed herself against his skin. At that moment, he couldn’t really think properly. It was like things happened so fast that he wasn’t able to grab hold of the very reality. She seemed unreal in his arms, like a dandelion that the wind could easily blow away. She always sent him into deep thinking. He couldn’t understand her thoroughly. As weird as it sounded, she seemed like a clear water, but that kind of clear water that one wouldn’t figure out what it was hiding under its depths still. He didn’t know why she was hugging him, and he was afraid that she could feel the hard thudding of his heart against his chest as he had never felt anything l

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Nineteen

Sane considered himself not to be the type who could easily open up to anyone, but when Seleen came into the picture, he found things starting to change, and never did he think that he'd be able to do so with anyone. Because who would even think that he'd be able to meet someone with a story like hers? Who would even think that he'd be able to meet her in the first place? He left the rooftop that night at 3 AM, when Seleen reminded him that the guards would have their 3-AM rounds any minute, and he ran for his life, but the smile on his face as he did so was still evident. Even in his sleep, there was still a small smile plastered across his face. Sane h

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Twenty

It hadn't been the first time that Sane heard that there were students in the campus who wanted to disprove the legend, and to see for themselves that there was no ghost there. When Sane first heard about people's plans before, he immediately thought that it was dumb. If there were really a ghost in there, then she would be smart enough not to actually reveal herself as ghosts weren't people. They could easily conceal themselves without trying, well, that was what Sane was thinking. Thus, it would prove them unreliable. However, it was a different scenario before. He never really cared much about the legend, nor did he care much about people not following the rules because he still wasn't part of the student council before, nor did he even think that the student council would even do anything about it.It was already a different scen

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Twenty-One

There were still a lot of students that were going in and out of the university because of their night classes, but Sane was confident that Seleen blended well with the students as she was still wearing the university uniform as well, although the pair of shoes that she was wearing didn't fit her well. Moreover, it also looked as if there was really something going on because of the way they held each other. They were like a new couple who was going out for a date for the first time, and even when Sane even attempted to keep his head down, he knew that it was already useless as people had already seen them. Some even stopped walking just to stare at them walking outside of the university. He knew that they might've been wondering who the student council president was with, and why they were walking in that

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Twenty-Two

Sane's gut feelings were right. The next morning, he hadn't even stepped foot on the campus yet, but he had already noticed how a number of his schoolmates, especially those who cared much about his personal life, talked about seeing him with a girl last night. He even heard someone say that she was clinging onto him as if she wanted to get into his pants so badly. He knew that they were already picturing out Seleen to be that kind of person, and that thought sat bitterly at the roof of his mouth. That made Sane feel the heat on his chest because of sudden anger. He knew that there would always be people who speak ill about him and about Seleen, but he couldn't understand how some people couldn't have the common decency to at least talk about those things when he wasn't around.

  • Sane's Insane   Epilogue

All of her life, Seleen believed that she was a mistake. Truth to be told, maybe it was really a mistake that she was even born in the world. Afterall, she was a product of an affair that shouldn’t have happened. She believed that idea as she grew up. That was why never did she ever thought of complaining about his stepfather’s behavior towards her. She thought that she deserved it, that she deserved to be hated because her existence was a mistake, and even when it had already affected her physically and mentally, she never opened her mouth to complain about it, to protect herself. The only reason why she didn’t give up even with her tragic childhood was because of her mother and sister who were so good to her that she even thought that they were angels themselves. As Seleen grew up, she didn’t have lots

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Fifty-One

Losing Seleen was almost as painful as losing Ride, maybe because it happened almost at the same time, the girl didn’t even allow him to breathe before she left without saying anything. That day when Sane went back to the rooftop, and saw that she had already left with no trace that she ever lived there, he felt as if he had grown insane. For a moment, he thought that she was just a figment of his own imagination. He thought that he had already grown insane, and for the past months, he had only imagined the girl, that she was just in his imagination all this time. But of course, that couldn’t be possible because he still had the photo that they took in the photo booth back then, and his friends, Haniel and Illiana, knew about the girl as well. He wasn’t insane. He gathered a deep breath.

What Sane really wanted at that time was to see his brother alive. He’d even kill to see him alive even for just ten seconds. He was willing to do anything just for him to be able to say his goodbye or to go to the past and watch his younger brother’s innocent face a little bit more. He wanted to stay by Seleen’s side, and cry on her shoulders, tell her everything that he felt, everything that was going on inside his mind. He wanted to tell her every regret that he felt, every wish, every hope that he had at that very moment. He regretted that he hadn’t spent more time with him, that he hadn’t asked him enough about the things that were troubling him, that he even felt ashamed to ask his brother every single thing that he should’ve asked him before. He couldn’t help but think whether doing all those things that he wasn’t ab

When Sane’s father was sent to jail, and he saw with his two eyes how the police aimed the guns that they were holding at his head, he thought that that was already the most painful thing that he would experience in his life. When he saw his brother and mother nearly on their deathbeds, sick and had nothing to eat as they were shivering under the cold of that winter night, he thought that that was already the most painful thing that he would ever feel. When he saw Seleen crying, and hearing her pondering over death from time to time, he thought that he would never experience something more painful that what he had experienced at that time. But he was wrong. And the universe had a very bad way to slap him across his face how wrong he was. His mind, the moment he w

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Forty-Eight

Dreams about death were really unsettling, especially when it was the death of a loved one. Who would want to see someone dying in the first place? Even in dreams, it could still make people feel unsettled. Sane could no longer remember where he had heard that when people dreamt about other people dying, it didn’t literally symbolize actual death all of the time. Sometimes it meant other things such as the desire to close a chapter in life or problems that a person had about herself. There were literally a lot of interpretations that could be used to make sense of those dreams, and some would even argue that dreams didn’t really need to be interpreted because they didn’t mean anything. Even when that was the case, Sane couldn’t understand why what Seleen said made him feel utterly uncomfortable. It was like the idea of someone dying was creeping against his skin, making his hair stand. He d

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Forty-Seven

Seleen had a blank expression on her face after she heard those people talking about that thing that Sane had been meaning to talk about, making the guy feel various emotions on his chest as he stared at her countenance. What a play of events the situation was because he was still planning for the perfect time to tell her as he didn’t want to ruin the night for her. Not when she was so happy about the concert of a band she didn’t even know about. He didn’t have the courage to tell her in that circumstance because he didn’t want to be the one who would erase the happiness in her face. But it looked like destiny was really doing things for the girl to know, for her happiness to be replaced with sadness just like that. It didn’t even wait for the day to end. It didn’t even let her happiness settle. Sane couldn’t help but curse fate, but he knew, deep inside him, that most often than not, thing

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Forty-Six

Sane knew that Seleen probably had no idea about what he just knew about her father coming back, and the more minutes passed together with the girl, the more he felt guilty because he felt like he was hiding something from her, although he was just finding the right time to tell her. He promised to himself that he would never keep something from her, unless it was very necessary. However, he knew that it still wasn’t the right time, the right circumstance to tell her, especially when she was very excited about the concert tickets that Illiana had just given them. It was even worse for him to spoil the happiness and excitement that she was feeling after he remembered that one of her bucket lists involved her singing her heart out in a concert, and that's finally happening. He didn’t have the heart to tell her now for it would certainly ruin her mood. So with the best of his abilities, he con

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Forty-Five

Sane wasn’t really fond of reading the news as he barely had enough time with his duties in life, especially now that his attention was already taken by the utterly alluring girl, Seleen Y. De Castro, and he wasn’t even complaining! In fact, he even liked it. He liked giving her attention, and he also liked being given attention by her. How great it was to be loved by her, to receive all of her little kisses now and there, to see her life, to feel her against his skin, everything about her was addicting for Sane. It seemed like the way he thought relationships had changed. Before, he thought that he’d never want to engage in a serious relationship unless he was already financially stable in life or when he had already done his responsibilities to his family. But when Seleen came into his life, everything changed. When he was given the chance to finally prove himself worthy of Seleen’s love,

  • Sane's Insane   Chapter Forty-Four

Never did Sane think that a kiss would allow him to feel different kinds of emotions all at once. And it wasn’t even the kiss that he’d see in movies. It was just a peck on the lips that lasted less than a second, but he didn’t know why the single act, that simple peck on the lips was already enough for his week, his whole month, even his whole year to be complete. He could feel the hard thudding of his heart against his ribcage. Lub dub. Lub dub. He was just staring at her face that had now a bright shade of pink that could be seen even when the lighting wasn’t that great. And even when she was ashamed because of what she did, she still looked beautiful in the eyes of Sane. She was even more beautiful under the rain. It took Sane two min
