As I curled up on the sofa, still feeling the leftover affects of my previous attack of nausea, Liam knelt down alongside me, worry etched on his lovely face.

His eyes met mine with a combination of fear and affection, quietly asking whether I was okay.

I forced a modest grin, hoping to soothe him. "I'm okay, Liam," I answered gently, my voice conveying a tinge of exhaustion. "Just a momentary discomfort, nothing to worry about."
