I watched Layla walk out to the hall to take Marissa's call. A couple minutes later, Vander's phone rang.

"It's Marissa." Van said and he picked up. I stood up in confusion. Something wasn't right. Why would Marissa call Vander if she was talking to Layla?

"What?! When?!" Van yelled into the phone.

He looked at me with panic in his eyes and asked, "WHERE'S LAYLA?" I ran to the hallway with Vander and Leo right behind me. The rest of our friends followed us. No no no no. This can't be happening. I kept thinking. When we got to the hall, a strange sight greeted us. A guy that I didn't recognize was on the ground bleeding while Spencer and Trevor stood over him on one side of the hallway while Peter was kneeling by Layla who was lying on the floor on the other side.
