McKenna's POV
Four days later...
"McKenna!" one of the handmaidens I didn't recognize called out. "The Queen sends for you," she added.
I did not give a response. I hung my apron and washed my hands before following this stranger. The Queen had not sent for me in months. Why now? After a short walk through the castle, I was face to face with the enemy, my once best friend.
"McKenna, it feels like it's been an eternity. You look like hard work has found you," she chuckled, taken in my worn appearance. "How can I be of service to you, your grace?" I asked, ignoring her egregious comment. "Hungry?" I asked, suddenly remembering I should bake a fresh batch of blueberry danishes before the king returns. "I need you to deliver the King's dinner in three days. He will be in late, and I am certain the rest of the staff will be gone," she said, pouring herself some tea. "Olga will get upset at me. It is usually her that runs those orders," I explained. "Well, I am demoting her and promoting you," she said. "My Queen, everyone would hate me. Olga has been in charge of the kitchen for over a decade. Please do not do that to her," I pleaded. "It is already done," she said, dismissing me.
If I did not know any better, she purposely tried to alienate me once again. First, as a handmaiden and now in the kitchen.
As the days passed in the kitchen, sadness surrounded me. Everyone began to distance themselves as expected. They of course assumed I begged the Queen to put me in charge. After all, we grew up together. No matter how I explained what happened, they were not trying to hear it. It made work hard and unbearable at times. I was miserable. I guess the Queen succeeded in her endeavor.
Three days later...
"Hang in there. I believe you. I know you would not do such a heinous thing for your benefit," Swan said, interrupting my mental pity party. "I cannot understand why the Queen hates me so. Why are you here so late?" I asked, realizing the time. "I just wanted to check in on you," Swan sighed, grabbing a danish. "I am holding up, but I am not sure how long I can keep up the facade. I want out," I confessed. "Have you considered speaking with the King? He fancies you," she giggled. "He does not! I am beneath his station," I said, biting my lip. "Just think about it," she said, taking her half-eaten danish out of the kitchen with her.
The truth is, I was flattered the Alpha King showed interest. I had always admired him, but then he married Antoinette. The young crush died, and I had not looked at him in that light ever again. I want my mate.
The realization that I would be turning twenty years old in a week slipped my mind. I rolled my eyes and dusted my hands on my powdery apron before heading toward the King and Queen's shared quarters. The Queen instructed me not to knock but only to come in so I would not disturb them in any way. I was to set up, be quiet, and go. That somehow disturbed me more than anything, but what could I do. If I disobeyed her, I would only end up in the dungeon again because she felt like it.
"McKenna, go right in," one of the guards said, noticing my food tray. "Thank you," I said before entering.
My eyes shot up from my tray at the sounds of moaning, Antoinette's moaning.
"AHH! YES! OH, MY GODDESS!" she cried out as the King seemed to be buried deep within her lady parts.
I nearly stumbled as her eyes met mine. She only smiled as I attempted to make my way out of the room. As if my luck could not get any worse, the door had been locked from the outside. The Queen kept her eyes fixated on me as the King's back was to me. He did not even realize I was in the room. I am sure the overpowering smell of sex and danish indeed covered my scent. It was not until what felt like an eternity they climaxed that I heard the door unlock from the outside. I hurried to leave with tears in my eyes. I had been traumatized after forcefully having to watch my King and Queen mate. I tried looking away only to have my senses flooded with their loud moans and groans. It only made matters worse running into my worse nightmare.
"What's wrong, McKenna? Do you want to talk about it?" Beta Vincent asked with concern, but I could not get past the mischievous glint in his eyes. "No, Beta. I am fine. I am just a bit tired," I said, storming down the hallway to my quarters and locking the door. "Let me in, McKenna! It would be best if you were not alone right now. You seem upset," he said, desperately knocking at my door.
I did not respond, which only led to a few unjustified days in the dungeon on orders of the Beta. The King had left that morning, and the Beta was in charge.
"You cannot seem to stay out of the dungeons, sweet child," Gertrude slithered from the back and spoke. "I hope you have been enjoying the extra loaves I have been sending down from the kitchen," I chuckled. "Yes, and those lemon treats you hide inside of the napkins are divine," she cooed. "I am so happy I could do something right," I sighed. "Do not let that rat bastard steal your joy. He wants to take what he could never have from you. Never let the Beta close," Gertrude warned. "What could he possibly want from me?" I asked. "Something that you are saving," she replied.
My eyes widened in horror. Why would he want my virginity? How did he know? He always assumed I got around, or so he chants. I knew in the middle of my rant just how he knew. The Queen was setting me up in all facets, and I had no understanding as to why. I have never done anything to her. She was a Queen, had freedom, and a mate. What could I have that she would be envious of? I was not free! I had nothing!
Five days later...
Olga being back in charge in my absence showed me how crappy she was at her job. We were barely fed yet again. I did not care who hated me in control because I was coming back with a vengeance. I will turn what that she-devil intended for the bad and transform it into something even I am proud of.
"The Queen has ordered you be cleaned up and brought to her chambers by dinner time," one of the Handmaidens, Margaret, said, interrupting my baking duties. "Sure thing," I said happily that I got out of the dungeons yesterday.
She rolled her eyes and pivoted to turn away.
"Are you coming or not?" Margaret asked with an attitude. "Give me a second," I said, purposely trying to piss her off. "We need extra time with you. You are a mess! So, if you could speed it up, that would be great," she scoffed. "I said give me a minute!" I growled, and that shut her up.
My inner wolf was an angry one, and I wanted to let her out in this situation. I slowly closed down the kitchen then followed behind Margaret, who suddenly seemed shook by my presence.
"Where is Marlin? I have not seen him in a while," I said, trying to begin a conversation. "He is visiting family in the countryside, from what I'm told," she replied. "Okay," I said, cutting off our very brief conversation.
We rounded the corner toward the hygiene hall. I went inside, thinking I would spot the Queen, but I did not, thankfully.
"McKenna, I will help you undress," Swan said once I entered the hygiene corner of the palace. "I think I can manage," I said, looking around at the flowers and inhaling the different scents of floral sweetness in the room. "I know, but I want to help," Swan said, bringing herself behind the robe with me. "O-okay," I said indifferently. "Happy Birthday," Swan smiled sadly. "Thank you. Why does it feel like I am headed for execution?" I nervously asked. "Look, the last she-wolf, Marlene we did this for ended up in the Beta's bed only never to be seen again. The Queen is behind this. Do not trust any of those bitches out there, either. Say nothing! Take this and protect yourself," Swan said, handing me a small letter opener. "I cannot believe this is happening," I angrily whispered. "You need to get far away from this place," she said, hugging me. "I know and will," I said determined.
I sat there as they plucked and tweezed every part of me. My water ran cold, and my skin pruned from sitting there so long.
"Is she ready?" Queen Antoinette asked, ignoring my existence as I did hers. "Yeah, my Queen. It was work, but she is ready now," one of the she-wolves answered. "She isn't perfect, but she will have to do. Follow me," the Queen ordered, and I followed pissed off.
Not like I have a choice in the matter. I wanted to stab her in the neck with the letter opener. Fortunate for her, there were too many guards around to witness.
"Go in this room and wait," she instructed, and I obliged. "Yes, my Queen," I bowed, feeling her free my hair from its bun. "You will give Beta Vincent yourself tonight. Do not dare act like it's a burden. It is your idea. Do you understand?" she growled. "No, I will not lie or give myself to any wolf that is not my mate," I snapped, surprising her. "You will, or I will pay a visit to your parents. Please do not underestimate me and my reach. You would never see them again in this lifetime because they will be dead. I have men in the woods waiting to strike on my command if you do not comply," she warned. "He is not my mate. Why would you have me do this?" I asked. "Do not fight this, McKenna," she said before walking away from me.
I heard the door close behind me. I was instructed to take the tunnels to a different room after an hour. The Beta did not want me to be seen coming to his quarters so late, especially after the King gave him an order to leave omegas alone.
I walked through the dark tunnels. I approached the door where I was instructed to go. Imagine my surprise when two strong arms and a scent I recognized appeared out of nowhere. It was rather intoxicating.
"McKenna, come with me," the King said, pulling me into the room where I was supposed to meet Beta Vincent. "My king, why are you here?" I asked. "My Queen arranged it all but not for you and me. I overheard her planning this with Beta Vincent. I could never let him take what I feel should be mine," he growled, crashing his lips into mine. "NO! I don't want this. I want my mate," I cried. "Let me make love to you, McKenna. No man nor wolf would ever stake a claim on you. Not even Beta Vincent," he said, caressing my cheeks. "I cannot," I sighed. "I promise I will be gentle. Your worries would be no more after we do this," he said, untying my corset. "It is not an order, McKenna. I fancy you for more reasons than one. How can you not feel waht we have?" he asked after finishing exposing my nakedness.
I was at a lost for words, but tears found themselves to my cheeks. I had feelings for him and he would protect me and my family, but I felt disgusted.
He made me lay down and spread my legs as he took in all that I had to offer. I lay there shameful and embarassed.
"You are so beautiful. There is no way I could let another have you," he said as his fingers danced around my lady temple. "Please, just get it over with," I begged continuing to feel the tears run from my eyes. "McKenna, look at me. I would never hurt you. I love you and always have. I know you care for me too. It should be me making love to you," he said passionately kissing me with everything he had.
Butterflies erupted in my stomach at his tone before I eventually melted into his kiss. Yes, I cared for him, but this was not right. My feelings for him laid dormant the moment he took Antoinette as his mate. I was an omega, and she was a daughter of an Alpha. I could never compete.
"I need you," he whispered as I felt the pressure of him at my entrance. "It hurts," I whimpered. "I will go slow," he said, trailing soft kisses to my shoulder to my ear. "Why can I not be free to find my mate? This unfair to him," I said, placing my hands on the King's very firm chest. "Because you are mine, McKenna," he whispered. "I am for no one," I rebutted. "I will never hurt you, my love. If you want me to stop, all you must do is ask," he said, gathering my hands in his before he eased himself inside me.
It stung momentarily as he broke down my barrier. He did not move immediately after filling me as if he was savoring this moment.
"Are you okay?" He asked, kissing my tears away. "Yes," I replied, feeling his hips begin to shift on top of me. "Try to relax, my love," he whispered as his hand found my left breast. "I-I am trying," I replied, feeling the pain intertwined with pleasure course through me. "There you go," he groaned, lifting my leg upon his shoulder.
He continued his slow assault on my temple until he released himself inside of me. It lasted so long that I felt raw to the touch. Alpha King, Lincoln caressed my skin as he laid behind my trembling body. I thought it was over, but it happened at least two times into the night. I could not take anymore, and it only seemed to fuel his need to be inside me. What am I going to do?
"How are you feeling?" He asked, kissing my forehead. "Used," I boldly admitted. "McKenna, regardless of what you may think, I would never dream of using you," the King said, making me face him. "But you took from me what I had saved for one man. I feel I have been robbed of my chances of finding my better half," I spoke up. "My dear, how can I prove that I care for you?" he asked. "Give me my freedom," I replied. "Then you would leave me," he sadly replied. "I cannot possibly stay here," I said, wiping tears from my eyes. "How about I give you more freedoms? You could visit your family under my orders. The Beta and Luna will not dare bother you," he promised. "Will I ever be free of this place?" I asked, but he only hugged me tightly and kissed the top of my head.
Queen Antoinette's POV "Judging by the way Mckenna is walking today, I would say job well done," I chuckled at breakfast sitting across from Beta Vincent. "She is a whore then. I never made it to that room. I was drunk off my ass," he angrily replied. "You're lying! The guards said they heard her cries all through the night. They were none she could pretend," I protested. "Someone else was there with her, but it was not me," he said adamantly. I just stood to my feet and threw hot tea in his lap. His tongue has been quite disobedient lately. The thought of Mckenna having a secret lover that I knew nothing about secretly bothered me. She was not only trash, but she was also a liar! "AHHH! My Queen?" He angrily questioned. "You better fucking figure it out, Beta," I said, storming away across the courtyard. I was going to find the little liar and strip her of that innocent faced she placades. "Going somewhere?" my mate, King-Lincoln, asked. "Yes, I am looking for McKenna," I replied
McKenna's POV The king continued to avoid me after I shamefully rode him for my freedom. He promised to set me free. Instead, the king left for a trip leaving me at the hands of his Queen. I made it a point to avoid her, but again she threw herself in my path. I had not had a long conversation with her since the night she threatened to kill my family and didn’t plan on it. "McKenna, you've been distant. Is everything okay?" Queen Antoinette asked, pretending to sound concerned. "I am doing well, Luna. What brings you to the kitchen?" I asked. "I am just making my rounds. My little ones are not letting me sleep very well," she complained. "Maybe some warm milk would surely settle them from what I have heard," I replied. "Twins," she said. "Huh?" I asked, confused. "I am having twins. When I told my handmaidens, they were over the moon. I am finally making my mother-in-law proud. Can you believe it?" She asked, sitting down on a nearby stool. "Has Lady Darcy departed? I owe her a tray
McKenna’s POV Mckenna?" Swan called out, opening the door to my room. "Swan? What are you doing on this side of the palace? They will have you hung!" I said, panicking for my friend. "Calm down. I had to deliver some tea to the King's study. I wanted to check on you. I know you heard their argument last night, as did I," she said, brushing my tear-stained hair from my forehead. "You must think I am a whore too. I swear it was not my plan. The Queen..." I tried explaining, but Swan shushed me. "It is okay, Kenna. I do not think that of you at all. I know the Queen set you up just as she did with the other handmaiden that suddenly disappeared. She is an evil she-wolf," Swan said, rubbing my back. "Why did you volunteer to come here if you knew this of her?" I asked. She abruptly stops rubbing my back. I could tell she was at odds with her wolf because she seemed conflicted. I sat up from her lap and just stared at her. "She's hiding something," Halo said in my thoughts. "I can see tha
Queen Antionette's POV "Vincent, we will surely be caught if you continue to wear your heart on your sleeve," I said, ripping away from his hold. "Antionette, why must we continue to hide our feelings?" He asked. "Lincoln is the king and your brother. We will be hung for treason if we are found out," I reasoned. "I want to be a father to my pups," he growled. "You can, if they were yours! We have to slow things down," I reminded him. "It's been two years, Anti! My feelings for you have grown beyond my control. We both know those pups are mine," he pleaded. "That is a personal problem! You lie with omegas and anything else that moves. That is not love, Vincent! I cannot do this right now, especially with the mother-in-law from hell right down the hall. Put your clothes back on and get the fuck out of my presence. NOW!" I growled. He scrambled for his clothes until every piece was well put together. "You will regret this," he turned and said before leaving my quarters. If he dared to
CHAPTER 11: I AM NO FOOL Ruby's POV "Mark me!" I demanded the next morning from Vincent. "Ruby! I told you that it needs to be special for you," he growled. "I marked you! Your wolf will surely reject my mark if you don't do it soon!" I lied. "I'm no fool, Ruby," he sighed, shaking his head at me. "That is fine by me. How about we get this rejection over with so I can go back to fucking the wolf I fell in love with before you came your lying ass along," I confessed just as he wrapped his hand around my throat. His eyes were pitch black, indicating that his wolf pushed forward. "Take your hands off of me!" I growled, slashing him across the face. "Seriously?" he asked, shaking off his wolf. "Beta Vincent, I am a Duchess from the Kingdom of Tirado. I assure you I am very well trained and will not allow you or anyone else to put their hands on me," I reminded him. "Understood. The thought of you with another male just set my wolf and me off. I would never hurt you, Ruby," he said, inh
Swan's POV "McKenna!" I called out once I made my way to them. "Sorry, it took so long. I didn't want to lead them to you both. We need to get to my parents. I know they won't be safe," she said, exasperated. "I know, but will they leave?" I asked. "They have already agreed during my last visit. I told them to be ready," she replied. "This won't end well," my grandmother, Gertrude, whispered to me as we picked up our pace. "What has happened, grandmother?" I asked carefully that McKenna did not hear our conversation. "I cannot say for sure, but what happens next will take both of us to pull her back together," my grandmother replied, pointing at a running McKenna. “Are you going to be okay leaving you know who behind?” my grandmother asked. “I cannot talk about him right now. McKenna doesn’t know,” I sighed. “I would not have you risk it all for an old lady like me,” she replied. “You are what’s remaining of my family. You took me in when my parents wanted me out. I owe you my life,”
Swan's POVI cannot believe what I am witnessing from afar, but it makes my heart swell with happiness."McKenna found her mate!" I squealed to my grandmother. "Keep it down, silly girl! I'm sure they're both still trying to process many things. I feel the anxiety all the way over here," my grandmother snapped. "Such a grumpy old she-wolf. Remind me why I risked my life to save yours again," I smirked. "Because I raised you, and you love me," she chuckled. "Hmm, I am beginning to second guess my choices in life," I fake pouted, earning a smack to the back of the head. "I love you too, stubborn girl," she smiled before pulling me from the door.Although I was overjoyed for Kenna, it made me remember the mate I left behind to flee the royal guard. My heart ached, but there have been tales that say the bond weakens at a distance. I'm starting to wonder when that will be because my wolf will not even shift for me because of her sadness. Her constant whimpering in my head nearly makes me w
Marlene's POVIt's been over a month since McKenna and Swan moved here. If I'm being honest, I wanted to flee. I cannot risk Beta Vincent finding out about our pup, Marlo. He’s already taken so much from me and threw me to the side like a worthless she-wolf."Are you okay, child?" Gertrude approached and asked. "Yes, I am wonderijg what flowers I should plant near the front," I lied. "You are doing a terrible job of lying, dear. What's really eating you, kid?" she asked. "I know you all have been here for a little while, but I do wonder how long would it take for the kingdom to find you all. I am terrified that Beta Vincent will discover what I managed to keep hidden from him for two years. It's been tough raising Marlo alone," I confessed. "Are you referring to little, Marlo? Of course, you are. They will not come to find us until years from now. That, I can assure you," She said, placing a hand on my shoulder. “How are you so sure of these things? You said it yourself, things can sh
Octavia's POVThe hours ticked by but mentally I was absent from the present. I missed Jubilee. He was my father, a best friend, and a teacher. If he were here he would tell me to get my shut together. But he’s not….I sighed before heading to check on Violet. "Are you going to be okay?" I asked Violet. "I cannot believe Killian hurt you in plain sight. What do you think triggered his anger this time?" I asked exasperated. "I know Killian attacked me because he was pissed to see me with Oscar again, but I think it had to happen. I no longer have to carry Lex's pup. I know I shouldn't be happy for such things, but I was going to end my life once the pup was born," she confessed. "What?!" I asked in shock. "Yeah. I was going to walk off of the cliff or drink too much and drown myself. There were endless possibilities and I thought of them all," she shrugged. "Well, I'm glad you're okay," I said rubbing her forehead. “Me too, thanks to my little sister, Vidalia," she smiled. "Yeah, I'm
Alpha King Vincent's POV "It's been a long time," I heard a familiar voice say. It was the voice of someone I would kill before the night was over. "Elena! You bitch! How dare you show your face around here! Where's my pup?” I growled catching her by the throat. "D-Death is imminent. You reek of it," she croaked. "Is that a threat?" I asked nearly crushing her wind pipe just as I heard the ripping of flesh behind me. I tossed Elena to the ground. I placed my foot on her neck so that her face stayed buried in the dirt. "NO! There’s no fucking way!" I shouted over the thunderous cries of Lex's mother and a disappointed growl from his father. How is this possible? There's no way her wolf should have been able to defeat Lex's. Black magic! That's the only reason this would happen. That's it. She’s a WITCH! "Somebody has killed our warriors in the dining hall!" I heard Lawrence growl just as I heard screams erupt in front of me from Violet who looked to have been injured. "KILL THEM
Octavia's POV"When does your father return?" I asked Essex. "I heard word was sent a few days ago where I'm sure he's been held up with one of his whores," he replied rolling his eyes. "And your mother is just okay with that?" I asked annoyed. "I think she tries not to think about it. Regardless of what you may think of my mother, she has always done her best to raise us alone while my father fought in wars, chased whores, and beat her. She's not perfect, but I will protect her until my last breath," he sighed. "As I expect you to. How did you turn out to be...YOU? Lex is a manipulative little cunt, but you seem more honest. Why did you give up your claim to the Kingdom of Tirado?" I asked. "My father convinced me to do so. The Kingdom of Cassius would be a good move for the kingdom of Tirado. If only I had known Rose’s father never intended for me to take over. Apparently, I wasn't good enough to follow him or my father. I trained harder, ran faster, and became smarter than them bot
Taysia's POV "You're going and that's final!" My father shouted at me. "Father, I cannot go back to Tirado. Alpha Lex hurt me!" I cried. "You set yourself up for what we he did! Are you upset that he chose the bastard over you?" My father growled. "NO! I swear it doesn't matter! Duke Sayid is my mate!" I protested. "Then what is the matter with you?" He snapped. "Father, do not make her go back. He is a maniac! Tell him what he really did to you!" Rose interjected. "Well?" My father asked and I shook my head in shame. My father stormed out enraged, but not before mandating that both me and Rose be there for the challenge. "You should have told father that Alpha Lex shoved the same disgusting pole he beats his horses with in your lady River! What are you afraid of? Shame? Embarrassment? He should be the one feeling those things! Not you!" Rose said furiously. "I know! Okay! I cannot face him. My mate is off on a mission so I cannot confide in him. In his letter, he says what he wen
Adelina' POV"When are you going to tell him?" Romeo asked. "Not now, Romeo! You're stressing me out!" I shouted. "Talk to me! Is this about your parents?" he asked. "Can you both stop yelling? I'm trying to focus on my painting," Romeo's sister, Vidalia interrupted.Vidalia and I had been friends since we were pups. Lately, she's been a shell of herself. All she does is paint, train, and pottery ever since she split off from her parents."No! I mean, yes! Romeo, I want to be with Oliver. Please! Why can't you understand?" I asked frustrated. "Addie, I love you. Why can't you see that?" he asked. "I know," I grunted pushing past him. "If I may," Vidalia spoke up again. "What's stopping you from accepting Romeo as your mate? You're carrying his pup and your actual mate, Lawrence is running for his life. Not to mention, your true mate, Oliver if I understand it well, has accepted your rejection. I'm certain he knows that you're not carrying his pup by now," Vidalia explained. She paused
Alpha King Lincoln's POV "Did you work him up?" I asked Violet. "Of course I did. I found the Tirado Crest as requested. It was right where his mother said it would be. Why do you all need it?" She quizzed. "It used to belong to Alpha Queen Lenora. I cannot believe it is in such good condition," I smiled. "Octavia should wear it for the challenge," she interrupted. "Precisely," I agreed. I'm sure Octavia would welcome this gift. Once Lex lays his eyes on it, I only hope it would be a reminder that he should not lead any pack. My thoughts momentarily stopped as Oliver and Jamela barged into my quarters. "My apologies, your grace, but this is urgent! Tell him what you told me," Oliver ordered Jamela. "O-okay. Klaus has been over run with Vincent's warriors!" she blurted. "THEY DID WHAT?" I roared slamming a nearby table to the ground. "UNFUCKING BELIEVABLE!" I growled sounding the alarm. Within a matter of seconds, Beta Felius came running into my chambers followed by Gamma Julius.
Alpha Lex's POVOn my way to my study, I nearly toppled over the she-wolf, Jamela. She scowled as I smirked at her trembling stature. I for one couldn't wait to see Alpha Santak. He would easily kill her with his bare hands. Too bad he's a part of Vincent's plan to take Klaus. I was happy when he whisked the Duke away too. If I'm lucky, he will die in the inevitable war. A look of disgust crept to my face the moment I spotted Octavia's parents, but I couldn't resist engaging."I see you two are wishing your sweet daughter luck. It's a good thing too because she's going to need it," I chuckled, but Alpha King Lincoln had me pinned to the wall in mere seconds. "How dare you address me as if I'm your equal, pup! You may roll around with scum like Vincent, but you must know he was never born to be an Alpha even if he shares the blood line. A true Alpha doesn't hold the red colored eyes like a rogue!" He growled cutting off my circulation. When he released his forearm from my throat I fel
Jamela's POV "Are you ever going to return?" Elena asked over supper. "Eventually, I have to face him," I sighed. "You didn't kill Lily! Stop letting your father, Alpha Santak get into your head," Elena snapped. "He has everyone searching for me like a maniac, but I'm not giving in that easily. I just need proof that I didn't do it," I explained. "Well, Oliver will understand. He could even help. I'm certain that he would," she reasoned. "His hands are much too full," I said dismissively. "Very well, stubborn little she-wolf. I hope you don't eat your words one day," she said clearing the table. I'm not sure why I returned to Foxchase. It could be that I knew Octavia would always know where I was or at least assumed. Maybe Oliver would come and save me from my terrible reality. Elena helped settle me in, especially after I updated her with the awful truth of the kingdoms going to shit. I wasn't sleeping, such as a night like tonight without having horrendous nightmares. Elena final
Violet's POVKillian had yet to sense me near. I was carrying a pup for Tavi's now husband and I felt disgusted. I had no desire to set eyes on Oscar. He would be disgusted with me as I was with myself, but I needed to face the monster he had become."I'll escort you down," Oliver said grabbing my hand. "Me too," Quinn joined grabbing my other hand. "Did you manage to rescue my pups? Killian is here. He would never suspect," I said frantically. "Calm yourself, please. Aiken, Tilly, and a few others have already departed. It shouldn't be long now," Oliver responded. "Thank you," I whispered. "There's no need to thank us. You are not well. We must get you the help you require. Staying held up in that small space isn't exactly helping. You should be here with family. Alpha King Lincoln has pushed for your removal of you as the kingdom of Koda's Luna and freed from your marriage for your mental state. It was easy to convince the elders seeing as Killian's mother admitted that she would fo
