CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Emily walked into the living room, wondering why the house was quiet. She assumed Logan might have gone to work while Julie might have stepped out with Logan or, better yet, was still upstairs asleep. But she was shocked to see Julie in the dinning already having breakfast.
She turned to go to her room, But Julie saw her.
“Morning, Emily,” Julie greeted in a cool, tempered voice.

Emily woke up. Glancing around. While, when he spoke to her, he always had a fierce look on his face.“Why didn’t you come clean when I asked you, if you were related to the miller’s?” Emily blurted out as she crossed her arms.“I felt It was irrelevant since that family abandoned me and my mother.” Logan shrugged half-heartedly without taking his eyes off his phone.Emily looked away, trying to get hold of the anger stirring through her body.
