KENDRA'S POV

Back in my bedroom, I paced up and down the floor. Tony was of no help to me. After I sat there listening to him vent about being passed over to become Beta, and getting him drunk, he still didn't let me in on where Dexter was keeping Daisy.

I had to find her for myself.

I waited for it to get dark, then I stealthily slipped out of my room when I felt like the coast was clear. I was out walking for an hour, not sure where I was headed, when a comment from Tony suddenly made sense. Dexter was keeping Daisy in the last place I would go.

Could that have been a hint from him?

It suddenly popped into my head. The library was the only place I didn't like visiting. I wasn't much of a reader, plus too many books kinda freaked me out a bit.

The library sat in the east of the yard. I hurried over to the east building, my heart pounding in my chest.

Since Daisy left, Dexter started to spend the majority of his free

DAISY'S POVI was pissed off, tired and hungry, but most of all, I was worried about Zordon and why he hadn't come to save me. I wish I could fight, but the poison they injected me with was still in my veins, making me weak. Dexter was still here, taunting me, telling me how much he loved me and how much I loved him. I didn't know how much more of this I could take. "I told you, Dexter, I am not in love with you. I just want you to leave me alone. I have a mate I need to get back to. Besides, you are the one who sold me for your own personal benefits. So why are you trying to act like you care about me all of a sudden?" I asked him, an annoyed look on my face. "Can you please just eat, Daisy? I know you hate me. You've been here for almost five days, and you haven't eaten or drunk anything. I can hear you heartbeat weakening. So please just listen to me and do as I tell you."I sighed as he used his thumb to rub my lips. He smiled at me, scooping up more food as he tried to feed me

DAISY'S POV"I will not reject my mate," I huffed. “So don’t even get that in your head.”"Are we not looking at the same article?" Dexter let out a loud laugh. I went and stared at it again. I couldn't believe my eyes. This was impossible. This must be an old issue, one that was distributed months before Zordon met me. But the date showed this was four days ago. He told me he was off to fight a war with some rogues because they were wreaking havoc on the borders of the Baywatch Pack. Could it be that he was secretly seeing Isla behind my back? Could this be why she hated me so much? Because I had the alpha she wanted. Could I be yet a second-time victim of infidelity?I couldn't even swallow the lump in my throat. Not even when I got injected with poison did I feel this weak. My body felt like it didn't belong to me. I growled, turning my head away from the newspaper. "Get it away from me." "No!" Dexter barked. "I want you to see it. Look at the man you want to choose instead

KENDRA'S POVI found myself at the bar again. Tony was still there, drinking up a storm. "Hey, you're still here?" I said as I took a seat in front of him. "It's my day off and this is what I do on my day off." He ordered more liquor, and it impressed me to see how composed he still was after consuming so much alcohol. "What brings you back here? You're the Luna shouldn't you be enjoying your time somewhere else?" he rolled his eyes while he sipped on his drink. He was annoyed, I had to do or say something to get him interested in me. "You’re right. I wish my husband would take me out on a date, but I guess I'm not as pretty as Daisy," I shrugged. “So I'm left all alone while he plays with her in the basement of the library.” Tony’s head snapped to meet my gaze. “So you finally found her.”“Thanks to your hint,” I smirked. “I don’t know what you are talking about,” he let out with a crooked smile on his lips. Our eyes were connected far too long that he had to clear his throat a

KENDRA'S POVTony's eyes glowed as his canines came out. He shoved me away from him. "My wolf would rip you to shreds before he ever let you make such accusations about us," he grunted. "I am respecting you the best I can because you're the Luna, but don't you think it's a bit too much for you to be acting so shameless?" Tony asked me, a hint of disgust on his face. "Yes, we slept together, but you don't have to be behaving so unladylike now.""Oh, please. It's okay for men to say that they love sex, but I can't say the same thing. You gave me what Dexter hasn't been able to give me this whole time. Of course, I want to savour this moment as much as I can. I don't think I am such a terrible person for that," I snapped.I watched as he finished getting dressed, and just as he was about to leave the room, I grabbed his arm. "What are you doing? Let go of me!" He snapped at me. "I'm sorry for threatening to lie about what happened between us, but I just have a question for you, Tony. H

ZORDON'S POV"Don't touch me. I can get out of the car myself," I barked at Isla as she struggled to ease me out of the vehicle. I was just happy to be home. I needed to see Daisy.Although Elder Elric had tried to stop me from taking the elixir that would give me back my strength, I took it anyway. He said it would help me regain my strength but when the potion wore off I'd become weak again for a few days, but I didn't care. I just wanted to get back to Daisy and make sure that she was fine. "I'm just trying to help you, Alpha. I still don't believe it was healthy for you to travel back to the pack so soon," she said, and I didn't understand why she was trying to keep me away from my pack. The guards at the gates came to greet me and I immediately sensed that something was wrong. "Tell me what happened?" "OK Alpha, but let's go talk in your office," he bowed. ******I stared at the guard, a cold look on my face. "What do you mean, she's missing?""Alpha the Luna has been miss

DAISY'S POV"You didn't think it was important for me to be found? You really wanted to get rid of me so much?" I felt my wolf struggling to stand, and I was sure she wanted to shift and rip Isla's throat out.My heart was burning in anger as I glared at the so-called beta.I had always known that there was something odd about this woman, but I didn't know that she wanted to get rid of me so badly. She actually said it wasn't important for me to be found. The audacity of this bitch. Zordon walked over to me with joy in his eyes. He grabbed my shoulders, and he stared at me like he was looking at diamonds for the first time. "Are you hurt? Nothing happened to you, right? What took place in the first place? How did you manage to go missing? Tell me all about it and I will make sure the person who did this pay!" Zordon added. I pushed him away from me and focused on Isla, who did not dare to meet my eyes. I wasn't over seeing them all lovey-dovey on the front page of the newspaper.

We need to find the person who did this to you and make them pay!" Zordon replied. "You don't need to find anyone. I am well aware of the person who did this to me. I just want to know what's going on," I answered firmly. "Well, if you must know, the Alpha —," Isla began but Zordon cut her off with a snarl. "What did I say about speaking out of terms?" She bowed her head in submission. Zordon faced me. "We ran into a little problem while we were fighting with the rogues. But it wasn't anything significant. I am fine now. You don't have to worry!" Zordon explained. "How can you say that it wasn't a big deal, Alpha? You almost lost your life. Do you know how worried I was about you?" Isla said. I sneered at her. Without saying another word to Zordon I began to make my way to the door. "Daisy, please wait, let's talk. I understand that you're angry, but we need to get you checked out at the healer," he called after me as I stormed my way into my bedroom.Although he had punished Isla, she had refused to apologize to me. She insisted that I had done something wrong and that I had probably orchestrated the whole kidnapping because I wanted Zordon's attention. I felt insulted that she would even think those things about me. "Look, Daisy. I already punished Isla. What else do you want me to do?" he finally caught up to me and grabbed my arm. "Let go of me. ZORDON'S POVI sat on her bed, and she looked at me. I saw it in her eyes. Something dark and distant. I just didn't know what to say or do. I couldn't let her know that I knew she had been spelled. If she realized that, she could put everyone in danger. Daisy was powerful enough to take down the entire wolf force I had built. She was that strong.I reached out and touched her hand. It was cold. She was a wolf, her body was supposed to regulate temperature, but not now. Not like this. I took a deep breath and gave her a soft smile."I just came to check on you. I didn't get the chance to say goodbye this morning, and I want you to know how sorry I am for that," I began. "I was scared... scared that Dexter might convince you to stay. I let my emotions get the best of me. I should've handled things better and I didn't. I just can't imagine my life without you. Making sure you're okay... that's more important to me than anything.""You don't have to apologize for anything," she said flat

DAISY'S POVI walked down the hallway, heading back to the sitting room where I'd left Isla. If she wasn't done with her conversation, I was fully prepared to drag her away from it. I didn't care anymore. But just as I turned the corner, I stopped in my tracks. Lila was there. She wasn't wearing a mask this time. She stood with her real face, her own face.I froze, words caught in my throat. At one point, she'd been my best friend.Lila was a witch. When we first met, she was practicing revival magic on dying flowers in the garden. Even though she looked way younger, I was only a year older, but it never mattered. I wasn't a witch and couldn't do magic, which made everything she did all the more fascinating. I used to sit and watch her bring dead petals back to life. Eventually, she noticed me, smiled, and waved me over.Witches and wolves were never meant to mix, but with her, it was different. Her parents didn't care that I was a wolf. Neither did she. She welcomed me with open arms

Stefan reached for his phone, but I held up my hand, stopping him cold. We couldn't tip them off by making more noise.I called again. My grip tightened on the phone as I muttered a quick prayer. This time, she answered on the second ring."Is that him?" I heard Xavier's voice bark in the background. "Perfect timing. How fucking convenient.""Isla," I growled into the phone. "What the hell is going on? Are you both okay? Is Daisy with you?""We're fine, Zordon," she replied quickly. "We'll be heading back soon. Daisy went to see Dexter alone — thought they deserved privacy. But she stormed outside. I'm almost done here.""You let Daisy go off alone?" My voice was low, controlled but simmering with anger. "In enemy territory? Everyone wants her. Find her. Now.""She can handle herself, Zordon," Isla shot back, steady as ever."I don't

ISLA'S POVDaisy walked away, and I immediately saw the relief flood Xavier's face. It was almost pathetic, how easily her presence rattled him. I smiled to myself, savouring the small victory. The moment she disappeared from sight, he rushed toward me, burying his face into the curve of my neck.I hated that a part of me still ached for him, even as the rest of me seethed with hatred. I had hoped to talk some sense into him, but if that failed, I was prepared for the next time we met — and I would kill him without hesitation.I forced myself to relax in his arms. He must have felt the shift because his grip around my waist loosened. He breathed me in, as he always used to, clearly comforted by the scent he loved. A small pang tugged at my chest. I missed that too.He eventually let me go, brushing his fingers through my hair. I didn't flinch. I wasn't afraid of him. Not yet. But I kept my guard up — he had once tried to kill Zordon. You pushed me to that decision, and I haven't been able to live with myself since. I know I've done a lot of things to drive you to where you are now, but if I could go back and change it all, I would. I would give anything to undo what I did—to stop myself from handing you over to Zordon," he said, his voice cracking."Handing me over?" I repeated, laughing bitterly. DAISY'S POVI didn't know when I finally drifted off to sleep, but when I woke, I could immediately tell I was back in the Pinewood Pack. The air was exactly as I remembered it—heavy with tension and unease. As we drove through town, a few curious glances followed our car, their wary eyes tracking our every move. We parked a few miles from the packhouse and sat quietly for a moment.A knot twisted in my stomach. It felt like my entire being was rejecting this place. Something was deeply wrong here—it was too obvious to ignore. I was surprised the wolves hadn't spoken up about it... or maybe they had, and no one was listening.I stepped out of the car, and Isla followed, her expression just as grim as mine. I could tell she felt the same discomfort—maybe not with the same intensity, but it was there."Let's get whatever we came for and get the hell out of here," she said."I couldn't agree more," I replied, heading toward the packhouse. The sun was scorching, but Isla didn't seem to mi
