MIA’S POV

I watched as Mia's chest rose and fell, her breathing shallow as she lay on the damp grass. My heart pounded, knowing that if I hadn’t pulled her into the river, she might not be breathing at all.

She suddenly stirred, her lashes fluttering open. Before I could say a word, her palm cracked across my face.

I barely flinched, though the sting lingered. I deserved that.

"You—" Her voice trembled as she pushed herself up. "You tried to drown me!"

I exhaled slowly, keeping my voice calm. "I didn’t—"

"You threw me into the damn river, Nathan!" she snapped, her eyes burning with fury. "You held me under! What was I supposed to think?"

I swallowed hard, guilt clawing at my chest. "I had to, Mia. A rogue was looking for you. A deadly one."

Her breath hitched, but she quickly masked her fear with more anger. "You should have told me!"

"If I told you, you would have panicked," I admitted, running a hand through my wet hair. "You would have tried to run, and they would have caught you.

His strength returned like a fire rekindled. His body—once weak and trembling—became solid again, his muscles flexing as he tested his limbs. Then his gaze locked onto me, and a slow, knowing smirk curled at the corner of his lips.“Well, well,” Nathan drawled, his voice dripping with amusement. “Looks like our little princess has been hiding something.”I took a step back, heart hammering. “It’s not—”He cut me off, standing up effortlessly as if he hadn’t been on the brink of death just moments ago. His eyes gleamed with something dark, something possessive.“You’re the White Wolf.”It wasn’t a question. It was a statement.A fact he was thrilled to discover. His lips curled higher as he stalked toward me, slow and deliberate, like a predator toying with his prey. “You know what this means, don’t you?”I sw

MIA’S POVThe second the last rogue hit the ground, I turned furious eyes on my so-called rescuers."Are you all idiots?" My voice sliced through the silence as I stepped away, shaking with frustration. "I had a plan!"Nathan wiped blood from his cheek, his expression unreadable. "Looked like you were caged to me."I scoffed, crossing my arms. "Caged? Seriously? I was playing along—gathering information! But no, you all had to come charging in like brainless mutts, ruining everything!"Sean folded his arms, his lips twitching in amusement. "You're welcome, by the way."I opened my mouth to rip into him when the sharp scent of something feral and dangerous flooded the air.A low growl rumbled in the distance.More rogues. They slithered from the shadows, their eyes glowing, fangs bared. Predators. Hunters. Killers. And they were all looking at me.Damn it.My stomach twisted as I clenched my fists. I could already tell—there were too many of them. I hated this—being trapped with them, feeling their presence too close, their voices too demanding.Nathan was the first to break the silence. “Why did you run to him?” His voice was low, almost calm, but I could hear the edge beneath it.I crossed my arms, leaning back against the seat. “I didn’t run to him,” I lied, keeping my face neutral. “I was just hiding.”Xavier scoffed. “Hiding?” His fingers tapped against the steering wheel, his jaw tight. “From us?”“Yes.” The word slipped out before I could stop it. But I didn’t regret it. I was hiding—from them, from the truth, from the pain they caused me.Rolex turned in his seat, studying me with narrowed eyes. “You’re lying.”I met his gaze head-on. “Believe whatever you want.”Silence filled the car again. Then Sean, the quietest of them all, spoke. “Are you… are you choosi

The same high cheekbones, the same stormy eyes, the same dark hair. It was like I had been split in two, like fate had been playing a twisted joke on me this whole time. The brothers were frozen beside me, their tension thick, their gazes locked onto him like he was a threat.I stepped forward cautiously, my body tight with suspicion. "Who are you?" My voice came out sharper than I intended. The man smiled faintly, his gaze never leaving mine. "I'm Lucas." He tilted his head, studying me like he was seeing a ghost. "And I believe… I'm your brother."My breath caught.Brother? The word felt foreign, impossible.A laugh slipped past my lips, sharp and humorless. Xavier’s POVLucas. The name alone left a bitter taste in my mouth. We always knew of him. The Alpha of the Golden Corral Pack, a man of power and influence, a leader respected across multiple territories. But despite his reputation, very few had ever seen him in person. He was as much a myth as he was a man—silent, calculating, and impossible to pin down. And now, out of nowhere, he suddenly appears, claiming to be Mia’s twin brother? No.Something wasn’t right.I leaned back against the leather chair in the study, fingers tapping against the armrest, watching my brothers as they sat around the table. Rolex was pacing, clearly restless, while Nathan sat stiffly, arms crossed, his usual cocky expression replaced with something dangerous. Sean, as always, was silent, but the tension in his shoulders told me he was thinking the same thing as the rest of us.“This feels wrong,” I finally said, breaking the silence.Nathan let out a scoff. “Everything about him is wrong.”Rolex stopped pa

Rolex’s POVSomething was wrong.I felt it the moment the sky darkened, the moment the air shifted around me like a whisper of warning.Xavier was late. Too late.He told me he was going to follow Lucas, and I let him go, thinking he could handle himself. But now? Hours had passed, and there was no word from him. No calls. No texts. And Xavier wasn’t the type to disappear.A deep unease settled in my gut, my instincts screaming at me.Something had happened.I pushed off the couch, grabbing my jacket and heading for the door. Nathan and Sean were in the living room, both tense, their eyes flickering to me the second I moved.Sean frowned. “Where are you going?”I didn’t hesitate. “Xavier’s missing.”Nathan scoffed, leaning back against the wall. “He’s Xavier. He probably got into an argument with Mia and needed time to cool off.”I didn’t have the patience for this. “No. He followed Lucas, and now he’s gone.”That wiped the smirk off Nathan’s face.Sean stood immediately, his brows fu

His usual cocky tone was gone. “They followed Lucas. They never came back.”A bitter laugh slipped out. “So? Maybe they finally realized I don’t want them hovering over me and left.”Sean clenched his jaw. “Mia, we’re serious.”“So am I.” I snapped my book shut and stood, crossing my arms. “You expect me to believe that they just disappeared? My uncle would have told me.But I didn’t call him out on it. Not yet.Instead, I forced a small nod, pretending to consider it. “I’ve never heard of that before.”Lucas smiled, but I saw the flicker of something behind his eyes—relief. With a snarl, he lifted his hands. Dark energy crackled at his fingertips. The ground trembled. Shadows twisted unnaturally. I could hear my name—frantic, desperate voices calling out to me—but they felt so far away, like echoes in a void.I wasn't in the dungeon anymore.I wasn’t anywhere at all.A soft glow surrounded me, warm and comforting, like the moonlight on a peaceful night. And then, from that glow, she appeared. My wolf. No—not just my wolf. She was beautiful, ethereal. Skin as white as snow, long flowing hair the color of the full moon, eyes like the endless night sky. A presence so divine, so powerful, I immediately knew. The Moon Goddess.I tried to speak, but my voice wouldn’t come out. I wasn’t afraid, though. MIA’S POVI glared at Keith, my patience snapping as he paced before us like some grand villain in a pathetic play. His voice was thick with arrogance, dripping with the delusion of a man who thought the world owed him everything.“My father,” he sneered, “was the rightful heir to the Alpha title. But your father stole it from him. Stole what should have been ours.”I tilted my head, unimpressed. “Let me guess,” I muttered, crossing my arms. “And now you’re here to reclaim your birthright? Oh, Keith, how tragic. Such a sad little story. I might cry.”His face darkened. His jaw clenched so tightly, I thought he might break his own teeth.“You mock me?” His voice dropped to something colder, more dangerous.I scoffed. “Mocking implies I take you seriously. But I don’t. Because you sound like a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum over something that was never yours to begin with.”A dangerous flicker lit up in his eyes. “You think this is a joke?”I stepped forward, unbothered by the threat

Something felt off. Then I saw him.Lucas.He was being dragged into the shadows, his body limp, his usually sharp eyes dulled with exhaustion. His lips moved, barely, but I caught it.Don’t.A silent command. A plea.My entire body tensed. Every instinct screamed at me to run after him, to tear through whoever had him in their grasp. But I didn’t.I clenched my fists, nails digging into my palms. The frustration burned like acid in my veins, but Lucas had signaled me for a reason. Rushing in blindly would only get me captured, too.I needed a plan.Spinning on my heel, I turned and sprinted toward the main hall, heart pounding wildly. She stood at the center of it all, arms crossed, chin lifted, looking every bit like a leader. Strong, untouchable. But I knew her better than that. He still hadn’t spoken, but it didn’t matter—he would.Because this was my trap. The fight. The chaos. My father’s supposed helplessness. Every single part of it had been orchestrated—and he walked straight into it.I glanced at the brothers, who were still catching up to the reality of the situation. They hadn’t known either.Their fight had been real, but it wasn’t their own doing.I had set them up too. Because I want it to look real, though I told them to fight but I didn't tell the reason. Their argument had been the perfect distraction, drawing everyone’s attention—including the spy’s.I crossed my arms, a slow smirk curling my lips as I turned my gaze back to the traitor.
