Chapter 108

Alexander’s Pov

“What did you just say?” I asked One who took in a deep breath and focused her gaze to the ground instead. I was losing patience at this point and the last thing I wanted was listening to her talks that weren’t so plain.

“Are you saying that Eleven really told you that she was going to escape?” I asked with a cracked voice, trying so hard to stop my heart that wouldn’t stop beating.

Different thoughts clouded my heart just as i awaited her response. I tried to think of the last night we spent together and how I was certain that she was the lady I wanted in my future.

I had thought that we would all return to the mansion together after which I would then confess my feelings to her. For some minutes, I had also thought that maybe…just maybe, I would accept the baby and start a family from there.

But then, everything suddenly looked dark and pointless. It seemed as though I’ve been played, even if I knew that I deserved every bit of it.

I had trusted Amelia and since s
