Sophie's POV

I woke up before sunrise to do my daily chores, even when we have maids to do it, did I just say we ??

I must be mistaken, cause since mother died, the place I once thought was home is now a living hell.

I swept  the whole compound as big as it is , then proceeded to the kitchen, the maids have say more than I do in my own father's house.

All in the name of "you're a witch you killed your own mother."

I wept , if my mother were to be alive , this woman wouldn't have been here.

This stupid woman was once a maid in our house and my unfaithful father believed all the lies she told about me and my mother after her demise .

Even my own father believed the lies that I killed her.

I hate everything, I hate my life!!!

I stood there in the kitchen after my morning chores and was about to turn around when I felt a cold substance on my skin .

I turned around to find my step sister looking at me with contempt .

"You lazy thing , here are my panties, wash them..." she said and walked away.

And after all this, I won't be given good food, if I'm lucky I'll be able to feed on their leftovers that's if there is.

Even the maids were served properly like humans.

I was beginning to get tired of everything.

Not that I haven't been tired but I can't take it anymore.

" Go get me some ingredients for batter " my step mom annoying voice was heard.

I was given the money and as I was going to turn around, she stopped me.

"use your legs" she muttered and walked away.

It was not like I've been using cars or cabs, I've always trekked while in an errand.

I need to run.....

Far away from them, at least even if I die , I'll rest in peace other than stay alive and be suffering.

I thought as I walked to the market .

I got to the market trying to negotiate price with the marketers so I can at least take a cab home.

"Make way the royal cars are on their way"someone shouted from the crowd.

What the hell?

Which sane person will drive in the middle of a market?

Anyways ,it's because they're vampires.......

Ugh, I hate those creatures.

Once you commit a grievous offense and taken there .

Then bid the world goodbye.

OMG!

I exclaimed as I saw the flashy cars ,that I even forgot to leave the road.

"Do you have a death wish?" a woman yelled at me as she pulled me from the road.

People gathered around them, and me being the average height person was stretching my neck badly to catch a glimpse of the vampires in the car.

I continued to stretch my neck to have a veiw of the princes .

"It's two already I need to fetch my kids in school" the woman beside me said.

It was then it dawned on me.

"Two"? I shrieked

I immediately found my way after purchasing all I bought from the woman, thank God I was able to negotiate well I took a cab to the house.

I stopped at a very far distance to my house.

I trekked the remaining to avoid being questioned of where I got the money from .

I got in and met my stepmother angry face.

I'm done for!

"What kept you so long in the market" she yelled angrily.

"Mothe......." I was saying before she shut me up with a slap.

" I'm not your mother and will never be you little witch" she yelled making a disgusting face.

My eyes stung with tears.......

Y"mother was such a good woman , but you're the exact opposite of her" she abused .

I felt like strangling her till she dies, this woman! I thought furiously.

I ran out of the house not minding the consequences, right now I need some time alone.

I can't just continue with this life, I can't continue to live this way, they maltreat me and do all sort of things they wish, why!!!!.

There's no way I'm gonna survive in this house, even if I'm gonna die it should not be in this house.

I'm going to leave .

I need to survive, my mother can't die here and now I too.

Never!
