Chapter Seventy-Three

Thank goodness for the situation at hand. It was able to calm everyone down when they learned that Amber was my mate but I rejected her. Of course I explained myself, I told them that I didn't know why I did what I did. Till now, I'm still confused. I couldn't see any reason to reject Amber because of what I saw or heard. And I don't even know why I didn't set things right the moment I met again, rather I made it worse.

Of course, they didn't care about my explanation. Everyone blamed me. Jake was angry at me, and my parents were disappointed. They couldn't believe I rejected my mate when my father has always been against rejection. And not just anyone, but the woman who I was dating and who my parents love. Amber's father was so angry, I have never seen him so angry like that before. He even said that I shouldn't even think of getting back with his daughter. I pleaded but I wasn't sure he would easily forgive me. Even my parents and Jake too.

Thanks to Theodore, he was the
