It had been mere seconds after the sun had graced the horizon with its luminous light and warmth when Lilliana stirred in the luxurious living room. She woke up to the distant sound of the TV still playing and let out a pained whimper when she tried to move her head. The muscles on her neck were taut as a result to her having slept in an uncomfortable position, causing her pain whenever she tried to move her head. She and her friend had fallen asleep on the couch while watching a movie the night before.

Yawning loudly, the girl stretched her sore limbs before standing up. Carefully nit to wake up Tessa and dragged her feet toward the kitchen to get a glass of water as she was feeling patched. She walked around the kitchen counter to get to the sink, got a cup from the dish rack and filled it up with water before bringing it up to her lips. She emptied the water into her mouth and sat the cup down before going down the hallway to her room to freshen up.
