CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE

I'LL GLADLY GOUGE OUT HIS EYEBALLS…

Pulling up in the driveway of their home, Lilliana's jaw went slack with surprise. The house looked exactly the same as before, it was as if it never caught fire. She stepped out of the car, cradling Fluffy in her arms and looked around the open yard. Her eyes shone with awe as she took in the beautiful garden under the faintly illuminated sky, it was just as she remembered not ruined by the scattered remains of the house after it had been destroyed by the fire. She could almost see her mother standing by the bush of red roses with a watering can in her hands, sprinkling water on her plants.

Following suit, Jackson smiled at his daughter's reaction shaking his head and popped the trunk open before following suit. He made his way to the back of their car to unloaded her luggage inside, putting it all down on the paved ground.

“You rebuilt it‽‽” Lilliana said just as he slammed the door back close, looking back at the man with a delighted smile on her
