CHAPTER 106

I wake up with a stretch. My eyes are closed yet the yawn leaving my mouth is very much awake. A smile forms on my face. If only there was a way for me to skip school today, I would. I’m exhausted but I have a lot of reading to do before exams. It’s weeks away but I’d rather start preparing now than have a rush hour study prep.

A buzz on my bed makes me open my sleepy eyes. Another yawn escapes my lips as I run my hand over my bed to find my phone. My hand wraps around a rectangle solid. Found it! It was hidden under my pillow.

I hold my phone over my face and look at my screen. The girls back home are at it this morning and I don’t have time to read through all the messages in the gc.

I shut my eyes tight for a second and open them wide, trying to regain my out-of-sleep momentum, it’s a me thing.
