"Hi dad" Kalia cheerfully greeted as they came in.

"Hey dad",Susan muttered softly.

"Hello my princesses" he answered back cheerfully, his blue eyes shinning with excitement, then suddenly sober. "Good day dad"

Grandpa sighed softly, "What are you up to now Samuel?"

"Well...I brought a guest...him to meet you...and them...and her" he fidgeted and spoke stifly. He dragged the young man with him to the middle and introduced him. "Meet Dominique Stark. Bye" he fled into his room, not scared but just nervous.

"Introduce yourself young man" Grandpa told him.

"Hello sir, I'm Dominique Stark, its a pleasure to meet you sir."

"Hi, I'm Kalia, nice to meet you" she smiled, Susan said nothing.

"Why are you here?"

"Well I was told I was meeting you and someone called Susan" the man answered in a deadpan voice almost sounding arrogant, Susan snorted quietly. Grandpa stood up and featured for Kalia. "Come on, lets go, leave them alone"

Once the living room was empty, she stood up and walked to him.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Susan, also not interested and I'm sorry my father dragged you here but I'm sure you don't want to be involved with me. So you can leave".

Done with what she had to say, she made to leave but was stopped with his hand on her wrist. She looked with annoyance at where he held her.

"Let me go"

"Why" he sneered, "You think I don't know you have always wanted to meet me, so why the indifferent attitude."

She regarded him silently for a while, his dark locks were longer than before and she wondered what it would feel like since she never got a chance to touch his hair.

"I was foolish and younger then, but believe me I have no interest in meeting you or having any relationship with you." She stepped closer, her blue eyes meeting his grey gaze "None whatsoever" she confidently walked out of the room leaving him with a perplexed look on his face.

******************************

"You don't want a relationship with him? You, the girl who always went crazy whenever you saw him on TV or even heard his name?" Kalia screeched in shock.

Susan winced not at her screeching but at the memory of her going googoogaagaa over him. Stupid her.

"Yeah not interested" she answered curtly as she arranged her stuff in preparation for when she leaves for the police academy, she had requested to leave immediately.

"Just because he happens to be the youngest and hottest CEO..." she made a quote mark with her fingers, "...does not mean I should be crazy for him forever" It was not like she wanted his money in the first place, she was Susan Grant, her father and grandfather were multi billionaires with a huge conglomerate compared to Dominique's maybe even bigger.

"But you were"

"But not anymore"

"Wow,this is crazy, the world is going crazy. Am okay right now?" kalia sounded flabbergasted as she tilted her head to the side, her brown hair fluttered on her shoulders while her gray eyes narrowed in confusion. Susan smiled and flicked her forehead.

"No you are okay and nothing is crazy, people change. Now help me pack my remaining stuff."

"Fine if you say so".

*********************************

"Alright rookies, you have successfully passed and graduated from the police academy, but now you have a harder and tougher stage to pass. Your training as a rookie will last up to six months where you will be trained by your Field Training Officer. If you are successful then you can graduate into becoming a proper police officers. Listen to your training officers, obey them, don't ask unnecessary questions. Is that clear.!"

"Sir, yes sir" thundered the response from a group of uniformed young men and women. Briefing done, they were dismissed.

"Susan Grant?" A voice called out.

"Here", Susan answered, while murmurs soon filled the hall.

A tall blonde haired woman made her say to her, she had a superior look about her and her black eyes held a lot of confidence.

"My name is Clara White. Sargent Clara White and i will be your T.O, your training officer until you become a full fledged police officer."

"Thank you ma'am, I am honored to be under your supervision" she answered with her shoulders straight.

"Good, I like your spirit, its what has stopped me from calling you boot." she turned away and left. Susan looked around with concealed excitement, it has been three years, two years studying and one year for practical actions, she had wanted the whole deal. In just six months she will be an official officer, she couldn't wait. She made her way over to a desk and sat down not caring about the murmurs around her. Yeah, she was Susan Grant, so what deal with it. She wouldn't let her identity distract her.

"Hi, I'm Stacy Chen" a young lady went up to her, she was petite and her blonde hair was pulled in a tight bun, she looked about her age or slightly older.

"Oh, hi I'm..."

"Susan Grant. Yeah I know. It nice to meet you..." Stacy giggled "...almost like meeting a celebrity"

Susan blinked, "Oh, um yeah, nice to meet you too?"

"I just wanted to ask a question, why are you...no why did you decide to become a cop. I mean no offense but..." she gestured to her body, ...you are Susan Grant and you are so rich so being a cop is I don't know...way below your standard".

Susan smiled, her eyes twinkling, "Right. I get that a lot but just because my family is wealthy does not mean I shouldn't do what I want."

"And what do you want" Stacy asked.

"I want to be useful and I want people to see me as me not as Susan Grant, daughter and granddaughter of multi billionaires but as Susan Grant, the police officer and a human being."

Stacy looked at her with admiration in her eyes. "Cool, I think you just became my woman crush, first lady crush ever" she gushed out.

"Oh come on, you're making me shy" Susan blushed in embarrassment.

"Rookie Grant!"

They immediately stood in attention, "Yes ma'am" Susan answered quickly.

"Let's roll, we have a call for an attempted murder at a high class restaurant"

"Yes ma'am" she answered and waved a bye at Stacy.

Susan rolled and rolled in her bed feeling restless, and empty ache rang inside her. She was in need of a certain someone's hands around her, on her, his body ramming deep into her. He had left but not without whispering something in her ear as he brushed her waist with his rough hands."I stay in the hotel just up ahead, in case you change your mind." The offer was blatant and plain and she was being a fool for not considering it. After all it was just sex, both of them needed something out of each other. Quickly she dressed in a pair of black sweats and left the house quietly. She didn't need her car, the hotel was just within a distance.
