Chapter 4

After the police dragged the pig outside my office I entered my cabin again and start working. 

The world wide fashion show is coming soon and I have to no I want to win this time too..

I was busy at my file when I heard a knock at my door. 

"Come in" I speak up and one of my guard entered my room..

"Sir I found all information about the girl. Here is the life" He told me hand over me a file..

"Okay. You can go now" I told him and he walked out..

I opened the file and started reading..

Name: Amelia Jones

Age: 23

Graduate from: Harvard University

Major: In Management and Accounting

She move in New York three months ago. 

Hmm. She is a intelligent girl also very beautiful..

But who cares about it? She poked the lion so now she has to pay for this.

Putting the file aside I start working again. Just then my phone rang..

When I looked down at my phone I saw my childhood best friend Max is calling me..

"Hey buddy, how are you?" He asked me aa soon I received the call..

"I am alright buddy. What about you?" I asked him back..

"I am too happy today my friend. After twelve years same finally accepted my proposal. We are getting engaged every soon" He told me happily..

"Oh, it is a great news. Congratulations dudu. Finally you got your dream girl. I am happy for you" I told him...

"Thanks buddy. And you have to come for our engagement. I don't want to listen any excuse about this" He told me like a kid..

"Of course I will come. And you don't forget that the world wide fashion show is next month. Though you are the top fashion designer but I want to you try your best. This time our rival company also taking part" I told him seriously...

"What a friend I got? Here I told you about my engagement and you are talking about work. You should throw a party for your friend but here you ordering me to work when my engagement is knocking at my door" Max told me and I smiled..

"I will throw a party when we win the fashion show. And if your engagement knocking at your door and take my advice and closed the door" I told me..

"Ha ha ha very funny. Don't worry dudu like before we will win this time too. And I will do my best boss" He told me..

"You better Max Roberts" I told him..

"Okay, buddy I have to go now. See you soon. Bye" He said..

"Okay. Bye" I told him and disconnected the call...

I am really happy for him. He is madly love with sam from our school days but same always avoid him. But at last they are one..

Putting my phone on table I looked at my waist watch. It is already 8 at night. I think I have to go home now. Mom must be waiting for me. Let's call it a day...

So I come out from my cabin and start walking towards my private lift..

When I entered home I found mom is sitting in living room.

Seeing me mom smiled and speaks up," Go get fresh and then come down for dinner" 

Nodding at her, I asked," Is Angelina slept mom?" 

"Yeah. She took dinner little ago then fell asleep" Mom told me..

"Oh, okay" Saying this I walked towards my room..

After taking a long shower I come out from washroom and get dressed then come downstairs..

Mom already set the dinner. I went and sit on a chair. 

"Angelina keeps waiting for you Nick. Because of your work you can't give her time" Mom told me while eating..

"I know mom that's why I am going to hire a nanny for her tomorrow and you are already here mom" I told her..

"Yes, I am here but I am her grandmother Nick not mother. She calls you dad and if you marry she will get mom my boy. You have to get married not for yourself but for Angelina at least" Mom told me..

"I am not interested in marriage mom and please don't repeat this marriage thing again and again. I have an important fashion show next month so I need to focus" I told her..

Hearing me mom sighed and starts eating quietly..

After eating I come back my room and again start working..

At morning

At Amelia's Apartment

Hearing the alarm ring I  woke up and looked at the wall clock. It is 7 at the morning..

I have the interview at 9..

Lazily I get up from bed and went towards washroom. After taking a long shower I come out and get dressed..

It is 7.35. Knight corporation is half an hour way from my apartment so I think I have time to eat my breakfast..

So I entered my kitchen and made a cup of coffee for me. Then took an apple..

I was sipping my coffee just then I heard my landlord shouted at my door..

"Amelia, Amelia. Open the door. Today you have to pay the rent or I will throw you out now" 

I sighed and get up. Walking towards the door I open but the next moment I saw Mrs. Hill is laying on ground..

Actually she was standing against my door and she thought like always I will not open the door. 

"Mrs. Hill, are you okay?" I asked her while helping her to get up..

Standing up she looks at me angrily then speaks up," Stop your faking care and give me my rent or get out from my apartment" 

"Mrs Hill today I am going to attend a interview. I think I will get the job. So I will pay your rent soon just give me two days" I requested her..

"Mind it only two days and if you failed this time I will not mind to show you the exit door" Saying this she walked out..

I looked at the clock and saw it is already 8.10. So I took my bag then walked out..

I really wish I get the job..

Taking a taxi I reached at Knight Corporation..

Getting down from taxi I paid the driver and went inside.

It is only 8.30 but people are running here and there. I went towards the reception section and the receptionist asked me," How can I help you Mam?"

"Actually I came for interview. Can you tell me while floor I need to go for the interview?" I asked her..

"Floor 55 Mam" She told me..

Thanking her I went towards the lift..
