After exchanging pleasantries, we discussed everything that happened that day. George Nahart asked Winston Gayle about his activities in the past weeks, and as Skye, Gab, and I listened to his statements– almost like he was reporting to his superior, we realized something.

“Ahhmmm, when did you say you went to pay Vincent Diera a visit?” Skye asked Winston Gayle.

His answer made Skye turn her head to give Gab and me an astonished glance.

“I believe we were there just an hour or less before you arrived. We took him out of the building because we needed him for information, but I decided to keep him for the time being,” Skye said.

“All the while, I thought you were in the hideout. You must have missed the action,” Winston answered with a chuckle. “I never thought it would have been you. The witnesses did not mention a lady among the attackers. They said three men came to ask their boss questions but in the privacy of the room, then left.”
