“I feel so guilty that I am practically dragging you into doing all of this,” Skye said to me as we were sneaking into the laboratory owned by Douglas Cane.

“Don’t be. Although it might look that way, you should know that I was not forced or pushed into doing any of this. Just like everyone else, I have my own reasons. And I am proud to say I am trying to take part in doing good things for future generations,” I answered with humor and sincerity.

“I agree with you about the goal, but you could stay in your lab to do your research, not here in the field and holding a weapon to kill when you took an oath to save lives,” Skye stated.

We were close to each other, and I could hear her voice in a whisper. I can tell she turned the mic off so she could speak to me privately.
