~Juno’s POV~ 

I’m still unsure of what’s going on. Every day, Alex has been having sex with me. It’s pointless to say no to him. To him, I’m more like a sex slave than a mate. When I leave the castle these days, I have acute aches all over my body. I don’t trust Cynthia when she claims Alex has been sleeping with his girlfriend, Bridget. He said he and Bridget had been over since he found out I was his mate. Alex has been more of a mate than a lover of sex these days. Outside, he joins me for a stroll. “Congratulations on being two months pregnant, Juno.”

“Pregnant, do you think Alex would be glad that we are expecting a baby?”

“Juno, I understand how strongly you believe in mate ties, but what you have with Alex is not one. You’ve been made into a sex slave by him. Although he is my brother, I do not approve of what he is doing. Are you the one who decided on this check-up to date?”

“What makes you believe he tried so hard today to get you to leave the castle?” I’m not sure what she’s trying to say, but I don’t like it.

“Alex had known you were pregnant for a long time, Juno. I don’t hate you; I pity you since this will be your worst day ever.”

“Please do not speak about your alpha that way.”

She just sneered and apologized. I rushed out of the Pack Hospital to tell my mate the good news. I was overjoyed that Alex and I would be expecting a kid, and I was overjoyed at my heart and soul. He’s been a terrific partner recently, despite his aggressive sex. As I got closer to the castle, a wave of anguish swept through my abdomen. I’m familiar with this discomfort, and I’ve been experiencing it a lot recently.

Could Cynthia be correct in assuming that my mate and Bridget are still together now that Bridget has relocated to the castle?

She can’t possibly be correct. The discomfort intensified as I approached the palace. I let out a scream. I pulled myself out of the vehicle slowly. I hurriedly ascended the stairs. My gut felt like it was on fire. It felt as though someone had set fire to my body. As I approached our room, I heard groans and grunts, as well as a woman requesting Alex to fuck her harder. I saw Alex pounding Bridget from behind as I peered through the door. I stood there, unsure of what to do. The agony had become excruciating. I turned to walk away, clutching the pregnancy test results.

Alex’s POV

I was having sex with Bridget when I caught a whiff of something pleasant. My mate had returned, and I knew it. When I glanced at the door, I saw Juno standing there with her eyes red and a piece of paper in her hand, preparing to depart.
