Chapter 8

Juno’s POV

I’ve returned to my hell, the prison I built for myself.

Why have I returned to this pack? Why did I expect things to change now that I’m a werewolf? What kind of wolf do I think I am?

I’m unable to even shift. To be honest, I am quite certain I now smell like a human.

Is being human such a negative thing? Why didn’t I perish on that fateful day?

As if my life wasn’t absurd enough already. My prison door flung open. The pack’s Luna. I’m curious as to what she wants now. In distaste, she pressed her nose shut.

“This location smells exactly like you, Juno.” I gave her a blank stare and said nothing. After all, she and her mate control the entire territory.

“Come and prepare something for me to eat. I’m starving.” I merely nodded. “You know, Juno, that bastard in your tummy is worthless to me and my mate.” For whatever reason, her words have no meaning for me. I used to experience excruciating anguish as if a blade were pressing against my heart. However, I have no sensations at the moment. I’ve already endured enough pain, and perhaps losing my wolf wasn’t such a bad thing. But now that she’s gone, this place may be extremely lonely. “You appear to be settling in rather nicely here; you scent of the place.”

I wish I could respond to her and tell her that the food I would prepare would smell exactly like this area.

Rather than that, I smiled and looked her in the eyes. I jumped to my feet and followed her into the kitchen. I do not have a wolf, but I heal in the manner of a wolf. I’m not sure why, with the exception that my infant is a wolf. I noticed numerous filthy dishes. The kitchen was also filthy. I prepared her meals. She ate it and walked away. I knew I would be thrashed if I did not clean the place and wash the dishes. I took the course of action that was best for me. I scrubbed the entire area and prepared lunch. I went for a walk outside. I wished for my parents, but I was wise. I was unable to visit them. They would also be penalized if I went to see them. Nobody was permitted to associate with me. Lilian sent a text message. I was aware that it was past due for a checkup. My baby has begun to move in my stomach, and I have to say that it is the most wonderful feeling ever.

I made a hasty exit to Lilian’s room. She conducted an examination for me. Lilian hasn’t been herself for the last two months, for whatever reason. She is concealing information from me, and I am aware of it.

“Are you interested in learning the gender?” She enquired. I gave a nod. She continued her examination with a smile and exclaimed,

“It’s a boy, Juno!”

Alex’s POV

I was strolling through the packhouse when I came across Juno. I was aware that my sister Lilian had been surreptitiously examining her. As I approached her door, I noticed her administering some fluid to Juno’s stomach.

“Are you interested in learning the gender?” Lilian inquired.

And I noticed my mate nodding her head. Her face lit up with a great smile. That was wonderful, yet I am aware of my limitations. She is incapable of shifting. She has no purpose other than to serve as my sex slave.

“It’s a boy, Juno!” Lilian cried out.

A young man? She is carrying the next alpha, my successor. My heir cannot be carried by a wimp. She needs to begin training immediately.


Juno’s POV

I was on top of Lilian’s bed when Alex screamed,

“Your training begins now!” as he hauled me out of the bed.

What is he on about? What kind of training?

“What are you on about, Alex? Did you forget she’s expecting a child? How do you expect a pregnant woman to undertake all the difficult exercises?” says Lilian.

“Since she is carrying the next alpha, she must be strong for the alpha to be strong.” She needs to start training so that my son won’t be a spineless coward like her.

“Alex!!” He turned his back on Lilian and dragged me into the bushes.

“Run.” He roared. He removed his t-shirt and began sprinting alongside me. He rolled his eyes when he saw me gasping as I attempted to run because I knew that if I did not run, I would be crushed.

“A wimp will never be able to carry my son

. “Move it now.” He muttered.

Faster!

I ran since I didn’t have any other option. I knew that if I stopped, I would be beaten. I pushed my body to its breaking point, all I desired was to stop.

“Run, you sloth!” I increased my exertion.

I made it to the finish line unscathed. As I struggled to take a breath. He roared.

shift!

I let out a horrified gasp.

How is he expecting a human to shift? The only opportunity I had of becoming a wolf was when he thrashed me till my wolf vanished. How can I shift?

For the love of God, I am a human being. I stared at him in terror, scrutinizing him with my eyes because I was unable to speak. Let him fucken read my mind since I’m his fucken mate. Given that I am cursed to perish at his hands,

I said shift!

“When I say shift, you must shift,” he hauled me off the ground, peering directly into my eyes and saying,

“When I say shift, you must shift.” I was slammed to the ground. I whimpered in pain as he slammed me onto the ground with such force.

Shift!

I curled up to shield my tummy, knowing full well that I would not shift. Only wolves had the ability to shift, and I was not one of them. My ribs were struck by a kick, followed by another.

“You are the mother of my child.” Dear God, now I must suffer for carrying his heir. I laughed at miserable, yet interesting life.

Shift!

I was currently pleading with everyone I had offended in the past to simply forgive me.

I was weary of this world. I’m fed up with being used as a punching bag. He morphed into a large gray wolf, then back into his human form.

“That is how a wolf alters its appearance. Proceed in the same manner.”

Is this gentleman losing his mind? I’m unable to look at him. He dropped to my level.

“Do you wish for my son to be like you, to inherit your foolish genes?

I was now bruised throughout. I was surprised that I did not cry. As my mate viciously tortured me, I didn’t shed a tear. I suppose my body has become accustomed to the discomfort.

“Get your fucking act together!”

I was immobile. He’d fractured many of my already-bruised ribs. Suddenly, he began kicking me.

Which strength will I summon in order to rise?

He stormed over to me and began dragging me through the woods, heedless of my agony of whimpers. He dragged me along till we came to an open place.

Shift!

I gazed at him, shouting in my brain rather than beseech with my eyes. I am not a wolf; I am a human.

“Alex! Are you insane? Have you even seen a pregnant wolf shifting? She is incapable of shifting.” He sighed.

Lilian rushed over to assist me in my ascent. Assist my beleaguered ass. Lilian was driven aside by Alex, and I was slung over his shoulder. Let’s concentrate on what you’re good at.

He can’t be serious about wanting to fuck me in this condition. Who am I to argue? Even if my pussy is bloodied, he will still fuck me.

We arrived at my nirvana. He kicked open the door and threw me to the floor, where I collapsed in a heap. I was forced to look away from the wall while he gratified himself from behind. He screamed my name as if it were the only song he was capable of singing effectively.

What have I done to deserve this Kind of life, Moon Goddess?
