Chapter Eighty Six

For the next twenty four hours she slept letting her body recover from her ordeal, she was badly bruised and her back and shoulders were painful but she would heal none of her injuries was life threatening. When she ventured down to the kitchen the farmers wife gave her a huge breakfast that she devoured hungrily. She wanted to know how long Juliette would be staying for and the young woman told her it would be just for a few days until her boyfriend joined her. They were so trusting and Juliette hated to abuse that trust but she had no choice as she had no money to pay them until she could access her bank account.That night she made sure everything in the room was neat and tidy then left them a note she had written on the kitchen table before slipping away using an old bicycle she found propped against the farmhouse wall. Some how, more by luck than design, she found herself on the main road into the city and even managed to find a telephone box so she could call her men. Romero had joined their two ‘families’ and she had been happy to go along with it when she believed they would be married but he had proved to be a true Marconi. Their families could never be joined, there was no trust between them and there never would be, he had betrayed her to the Council after promising to protect her.  

Her number two, Gino answered on the first ring and accepted the call collect when the Operator asked him to, she explained what had happened quickly and to the point and he promised to have a car to her in half an hour. An hour later her own medical staff had checked her over and treated her for the injuries she had, anti inflammatories for her painful shoulders, cream for the bruising, and painkillers to help her sleep. The next day she dressed in her ‘Don’ uniform, tight black leather jeans, white silk shirt, black leather biker jacket and killer heeled thigh length black leather boots. Her hair was in a sleek high top ponytail and her make up was minimal it was very clear she meant  business when she walked into her office. Gino came in and sat opposite her as she worked for a few minutes on her laptop,

Then she got down to business and Gino saw that she could truly be her fathers daughter as she turned her mind to her revenge, she was ruthless and completely uncaring. Starting with the minor Council Members she hunted them down one  by one bringing them back to her villa and meting out their punishments, there was no mercy from her. They either gave her the information she demanded or she had them tortured until they squealed  and then she was the one who killed them, the seven main Council Members were heavily guarded especially the Leader who was at his holiday retreat recovering from the injuires she had inflicted on him. They soon discovered no matter how many guards they surrounded themselves with she could and did find a way to infiltrate their organisations and one by one she killed them and got away before any of their people found her. She killed the first three before they understood it was a pattern and they ordered Romero to find her and stop her but it was easier said than done. Juliette refused to see him and her men kept him away from her so he sent flowers, chocolates and small gifts of jewellery, everything was returned to him untouched. He got angry and frustrated because he knew if he could see her he could touch her and the electric chemistry between them would do the rest. She could not resist him and once he kissed her they would both be lost but to do that he had to get near her and she made sure he could not so he played dirty. He threw a Grand Ball at the Mafia Headquarters using their huge gothic Ballroom for the venue and sending out formal invites to every single Mafia Don making attendance compulsary.

Juliette was going to refuse to attend but then she realised it was the perfect opportunity to take out another of her targets, maybe she could even finish the job by taking out the remaining four.               When she walked into the ballroom every head turned, she looked incredible, her dress was stunning, made from an irridescent material that appeared to change colour as she moved, It was fitted like a basque to her slender waist and hips then flared into a full skirt to the floor, her shoulders, arms and neck were bare and the back dipped almost to her ass. Her glorious hair tumbled to her hips in a riot of red/gold curls, her make-up emphasized her brilliant feline eyes and plump lips and the jewellry she wore made the women gasp. She wore diamonds, a stunning priceless collection of rare coloured stones that glittered and shone in the lights changing their colours just as her dress did.
