Chapter 2

I turned around and pressed my back against the closed door and let out a tired sigh, A small whimper caught my ears as my eyes fell on Sunshine who sat up against the wooden headboard that was mounted on the wall behind her- her big owl eyes were the same color blue that I could never get out of my head ever since the first day I saw them staring back at me – They reflected with such sadness that could only be described as an endless sea and nothing for her to hold onto. Her thin blue nightgown pushed passed her bare knees exposing her full thick thighs as her legs were propped up against her pretty chest, I loved the way her curvy body was left exposed to me, she had no idea what I could do to her under a single touch. the dominant part of me wanted her to fear me, but the primal part of me craved to savor that look of fear and innocence on her sweet doll-like face. yet the obsessive part of me wanted to keep her safe, sheltered, and I would kill any man who dared to look her way.

 “What do you want?” Sunshine asked as she couldn’t hide her shaking voice from the man who everyone Called Seth, his eyes flickered between a red ruby colored to an odd deep green that emanated raw power behind them.

My prick was starting to tent up from my boxers again. -God, I wanted to tell her how bad “I wanted to mount you, right here and now, make you submit to me” One thing for sure, I knew, I need to restrain myself. If I didn’t, she wouldn’t submit herself to me willingly.

“You need to leave, right now,” Sunshine said in a flat tone.

I tilted my head to the side “You don’t mean that” Seth said almost in a state of confusion. 

“I do” Sunshine replied “Get out, right now” she demanded more harshly.

My jaw tightened, teeth mashing together- There was no way in hell I was going to stay away from her, not now, not ever! - I pushed myself off the door and slowly stalked towards my mate. 

“Stay away from me!” 

I stretched both of my hands out grabbing both of sunshine’s ankles “You say that now” I said with one firm tug -her body was right under mine, my knee pressed between her thighs keeping them separated. I can hear her heart race, pounding hard against her chest as her senses were aware of how close in proximity I was. “But what you don’t know is, you’re Mine” I let out a soft but serious growl.

“You’re insane” I spat at Seth “I’ll never be yours”

I grabbed sunshine’s face tilting her view to me, her eyes truly held me captive. My face leaned in closer to hers “You can’t fight fates design little Rabbit; you were made just for me” My eyes dropped to her tiny mouth that made an “O” shape as I can tell she was replaying my words in her head. I let out a soft growl that reverberated from my chest grabbing her attention back to me.

The little hairs stood up on the back of my neck, he can't be serious, can he? No, I've already lost my mother due to a Vampire attack, I won't let him take my freedom. Not now.  I put my hands on Seth’s bare-naked chest – there was something about his smooth skin under my palms that awakened a new form of awareness from within me. I turned my eyes away from Seth’s burning red rubies.

My heart spat up, pounding against my ribcage even faster this time

“Let’s try a different position” Seth said flipping himself on his back and placing Sunshine on his lap.

Seth watched as her cheeks reddened from the sudden movement. His Large hands gripped each side of her hips, his fingers pressed on her skin through the thin fabric she wore- tightly securing her in place mounted on his lap.

I can feel a thin hand rub up and down my arm. heat skimmed across my skin calling to my core and my body trembled like a leaf under his strong but gentle touch that made me mentally purr like a little kitten wanting his endless affection.

“You’re so beautiful,” I said reaching up and tucked a piece of loose golden hair behind her ear.  “ The moon goddess finally found the time to favor me, after all these years, I never thought my mate would be this adorable” I chuckled while I can see the uncertainty behind those deep ocean eyes of hers as she just turned her eyes away from mine staring at the wall next to her.  “Look at me” I demanded. “Please?” I asked in a whisper while eyeing the goosebumps that erupted like a volcano on her skin, it was a sign, A sign that no one has ever touched her like this.

I pulled my arm away from Seth’s smooth and gentle touch “No, I don’t think I will” I huffed trying to remain in control, if I didn’t, I would have begged him to take me, so he can satisfy the heat that began to coil in my core.

I chuckled in my head, man she is a stubborn one – but I can break her from that.

Sunshine Closed her eyes as Seth’s hand moved from her hips down to her thighs pushing the blue fabric upwards, he could tell his mate was enjoying the feel of his manhood pressing hard against her covered petals. His bulge hardened from his boxers, it felt big - really big - hard mostly - his body was starting to make her feel warm all over.

I can smell it, her scent, it’s a mixture of desire and fresh rainwater all rolled into one. I groped her tiny wrist with my hand and brought it to my mouth, dragging my tongue side to side, leaving my scent on her as well as she was leaving her scent on me without her realizing she was marking me as hers.

A small gasp escaped my lips as a small pinch from Seth’s teeth nipped my skin. at times like this I wished I was some kind of shifter just to experience his scent as it left me wondering what he would smell like.

Seth’s lips tightened on her inner wrist, sucking heavier, Sunshine’s hips began to squirm back and forth, slightly grinding, enjoying the raging fire that steadily coursed through her veins.

Thunder howled in Seth’s mind, pushing forward as he couldn’t hold back, he wrapped both of his arms around sunshine’s frame and flipped her on her back, his body laid on top hers

My eyes widened with surprise. His aura, Powerful, He was more beast then man now - His mouth trailed down my jawline inching closer to my neck placing feathery kisses leaving a new hidden sensation behind in its burning trail of need.

I kept an eye on how her body is heaving with desire, I know she wants to give in, but her mind is telling her not to. I cleared my throat “I want you to look at me while I make you mine” I purred against her ear”

“No” Sunshine moaned as she could feel his thick tongue lick the outer shell of her ear.

“I will count to three and if you don’t look at me then I will give you a small punishment little one,” I said hoping a small innocent threat would entice her to obey my demand. “One” I whispered, barely even a breath.

“No”

I hate how she is denying me her expressions with the soft subtle things I’m doing to her. “You don’t want to keep refusing my request Little one” I moaned against the crook of her neck. “I promise you, that’s the last thing you want to do” I whispered but she still refused to acknowledge me.

I suddenly broke out of Seth’s spell and swatted his face away from the crook of my neck “You can Leave my Room now” I breathed out trying to compose myself, but I didn’t want him to stop, Every nerve in my body screamed at me, yelling at me - to let him finish what he had started but I was not going to give him the satisfaction to see me beg for more.

I glanced Down at my mate's face.

I can feel my body tremble, I know he can see it, He doesn’t have to touch me for him to notice it - it instantly mirrored back at him with each passing second he held onto me. “Fear, was my enemy tonight”

Thunder whimpered in my head, he has the biggest set of blue balls tonight, I know my touch melted her, I seen how her body accepted me, how it reacted to my lips – yet We needed to see the desire and utter satisfaction on her doll-like face. “Fine, if that’s how you’re going to be, then you leave me with no choice,” I said letting out a small whistle from my lips calling the free-roaming shadows that attacked Henry moments ago - I didn’t even have to count to Three -my red shadow dug itself under her chin tipping her face to my view. Those blue eyes of hers were big as an owl’s that haunts a dream – And there it was, the look that begged me to keep going.  “That wasn’t so hard was it little one?” I asked with a sheepish smirk.

I will admit for a monster, Seth is hot, he reminded me of a rare, wild, and exotic animal. unique to look at – yet very dangerous to get close to

“I Don’t take no for an answer, remember that next time” I growled waiving my shadows away from her face and they crept along the walls stalking the Phantom that silently slinked itself quietly in here tonight. “Now that I have your full undivided attention little one” I said removing myself from on top of my mate and folded my arms across my naked chest- how should I punish you for your disobedience?” I asked out loud wanting to take her rose-tinted colored lips with mine. To hungrily devour them - To claim them as mine and mine alone.

sunshine watched each long stroke of his tongue that slicked the bottom of his lip.

“You can’t be serious? I’m not a child” Sunshine rebutted.

Tsk.  “I wouldn’t have to treat you like a child if you didn’t act like one”

“What do you expect? you came storming in here, attacked my brother and locked him out of the room and had your lips all over me”

I crooked an eyebrow “Lips? don’t forget hands and tongue too” I chuckled.

Sunshine was at a loss for words.

“Besides, I wouldn’t have done all that if I was asleep now would I?”

“So, it’s my fault now?” I scuffed

“Yes”

I felt my jaw tightened by Seth’s words, he was right, it was my fault that he is here in the first place. If I didn’t have those damn nightmares, I wouldn’t have found myself so damn attracted to him tonight. I didn’t Notice Seth’s hand snaked around my shoulders pulling me close to his chest breaking me out of my thoughts. “Hey!, What do you think you are doing?” I asked.

I let a smile slip from my lips as sunshine tried to squirm her way out of my embrace as it’s obvious, she fears me - my shadows did attack her brother after all. I think I found the perfect punishment for her. “If you don’t behave, you will leave me with no choice,” I said stopping in mid-sentence just to see her tiny face fret “but to take your gift away”

Did he say gift?

“What gift?’ I asked Seth, more confused than ever.

“I got you this,” I said as I dangled the doll that I held in my hand in front of my mate's view.

I wanted to reach for the doll that was odd in shape, but it was kind of cute in its own way - it had a little Black and pink suit on, a pink tie, and Little black dress shoes on his tiny feet.

I pulled the doll back.  Enticing her to want it more “But I don’t think I should give it to you now”

“You Can’t tease me like that” I pouted

with my free hand my fingers gripped her chin lifting her face to my view “Then Tell me little Rabbit, how do you want me to tease you?” I asked biting my lip, trying to hold back from kissing her and marking her as mine, right now.

I can feel my cheeks start to heat up, I can’t believe he would ask me that, yet my mind went to thinking of every dirty thing it can come up with and I never have been with a man or beast before.

I see, she is innocent still. “Do you want him?” I asked.

I nodded in a yes motion.

I leaned my face closer to hers, my lips nearly grazed across her soft Rosey flesh.

Sunshine gulped wetting her dry throat.

oh god, I can feel his lips wanting to take mine again, I hope he does.

“You have to speak up little Rabbit” I purred barely above a whisper.

“Yes,” I managed to squeak out of my throat.

“Yes, what?” I asked planting a small peck on Sunshine’s bottom lip. God, she tastes divine almost like sweet wine. She was catnip to me, and she didn’t even know it.

“Yes, I want your gift” I murmured.

I pulled my face away, disappointed I couldn’t have more of her, If I didn’t hold myself together then I would be taking more than a kiss.

“What kind of Doll is he?” she asked.

I reached over and sat the doll on the Edge of the bed “He is a special toy that I made a very long time ago, I carved him out of a very special magical tree where I’m from and infused him with shadow magic”

“Shadow magic?” I asked confused.

“Yeah, I’m from the under shadows and we use shadow magic and shadow fire”

My eyes widen, I never knew that, “Really?”

“Yeah, I’m what you call a soul doll maker”

“What is a soul Doll maker?” I asked as I became more intrigued than anything now. but then again Henry would never really school me in much about the supernatural world, every time I would ask him a question his only response was it's a dangerous place.

“I would have to show you- would you want to see?”

“Erm. Sure” I replied. Seth waved his hand in the air, the doll Rose to his feet, and began to dance across the bed capturing my attention in amazement. I turned my head and stared into his scarlet red eyes that brightened all of a sudden “Is that really shadow magic?”

“Yes, it is, and if you don’t believe me then Go ahead, inspect him till you are satisfied that I only speak the truth” I replied as I watched my mate reach over and pick up the finely dressed doll carefully examining it with her eyes and hands - There were no strings- nor anything that can be twisted like a windup toy would have had. it was so beautifully made, with no imperfections or flaws, just smooth wood. But she has no idea what she is doing to me, my magic is running haywire around her and I don’t know why, I can barely keep a grip on it, if I lose control now,  she would try to escape from me only to find that attempt useless, and if I find her with another man or beast, I will challenge him for her always – even if she kicked and screamed all the way back home. She belongs to me and no one else.

I turned to face Seth, his Deep red eyes mirrored back at me with pride and dominance.

I did something Henry couldn’t, I gave her peace. she forgot the pain she felt in her mind and soul even if it was just for a few minutes “Well, what do you think?”

I shrugged my shoulders “I’m not convinced yet”

I rose my eyebrow “Oh? well, maybe he would have to try harder than doesn’t he?’

“Yeah, does he have a name at least?”

I scratched my cheek thinking about Sunshine's question for a moment before I spoke. “No, I suppose he doesn’t”

“Oh”

my eyes dropped down - she looked so disappointed that he didn’t have a name “Would you like to name him?”

I gave a small smile “Can I?” I asked with excitement.

“Of course, he’s yours, so name him anything you want, have at it” I said returning the smile -Sunshine carefully played with him in her tiny hands getting a feel of him under her palm.

A small Tinkle sound like a little bell popped into my mind followed by a whisper. “Ryder?” I repeated the name.

Seth’s eyes widened with surprise, curious on such a name, as he used to know someone with that same name but he died along time ago.

“How did you choose that?” I asked.

“He told me”

that would be impossible to hear a soul talk. “Oh, he did huh?” pondering if she can speak to souls now. Or was it really Ryder’s soul that I trapped in the doll, either one of those was not a  good thing.

“Yeah, his name is Ryder, I would like to stick with that”

I shifted my gaze to the doll, nothing seemed to be amiss, the aura of the doll was calm, no threat detected in his tiny frame “Well then, your wish is my command little one” I said as I kept wondering if this was an unknown ability she suddenly developed from the trauma or was there something more to her then meets the eye. Or was I even being paranoid that Ryder was in deed in this tiny doll.

I shifted my gaze to Seth’s “What else can he do?” I asked while holding onto Ryder.

“Let’s find out together” I said snuggling next to Sunshine forcing her face down on my naked barreled chest.

I can hear his heartbeat under my ear. It sounded beautiful.

“Lookup,” I said pointing up to the Beautiful endless sea of silver stars that flickered like a shimmering reflection of an ocean wave as it crashed around on the ceiling - stars danced and changed into a different scene -Fields of flowers -wild rabbits hopping along - little hearts and butterflies graced the air around them.

“Wow,” I whispered in awe and amazement by this new magic I reveled in - wanting to touch each star the tickled my fingertips but it gave me small electric pokes back -Seth gently took my hand in his and tucked a piece of golden hair behind my ears. His Ruby red eyes held my gaze captive as I could feel his heartbeat strum loudly against my eardrum.

Tinkle.

Sunshine suddenly had had uncertainty written across her face “What’s wrong little one?”

“Ryder, he says it’s my bedtime”

I drew in a long and deep breath “I will have to agree with him,” I said carefully stroking the top of her head dragging my hand down as this beautiful mate of mine shifted against me trying to get comfortable - What the hell is wrong with me? why can I stop myself from touching her? she’s so weak under my grazing fingers as if she was made of pure glass. And yet, it felt right holding her like this. Maybe it’s the lack of sleep tonight that has me feeling unusual. Or it could be the thought that she might be a soul keeper, A special being that tends to care for the souls that passed on, Each Dollmaker has a soul keeper for a master, without a master, we are nothing but useless toy makers, I clung onto the hope that she wasn’t a soul keeper, if she is, that means she will suffer greatly by the hands of others who will seek to steal her precious gift, but on the other hand, it meant that I wouldn’t have to be alone anymore. but no words escaped my lips.
