Third Person's POV

"Jace, honey, you need to eat something," Noah said, but Jace only whimpered and squeezed Lexon's pillow tighter against his chest.

Noah sighs and then reaches for the sandwich off of the tray. He turns to Jace, tugging the pillow down and bringing the sandwich to Jace's mouth.

"Come on honey, you have to eat," Noah said, then pressed the sandwich against Jace's lips, trying to get him to take a bite. It's been 17 hours since Lexon stepped into the portal. It's noon the next day, and Jace still hasn't eaten a single bite.

As Noah presses the sandwich against Jace's lips, he turns his face into his own pillow.

"I'm not hungry!" Jace's muffled voice said.

Noah lets out a sigh in defeat and then places the sandwich back on the tray.

He lifts the small lid off of a smaller plate and smiles when he sees a cupcake with rainbow sprinkles. He grabs the cupcake, peeling the paper from around the base then bringing it towards Jace's face.

Jace's nose flares when he

It's different for each person. It was for Lexon, but it's not typical.

Oh no poor Lexon, poor Jace, I’m crying now, so does this mean that the trails are sort of like a door into your loved ones past? Or future?

Third Person's POV Nadja grabs Lexon as he tries to run after Jace. "He'll be okay. I'm sorry, but you can't go yet. We only have 20 minutes to finish the ritual after you leave the portal. Let me heal you, so we can proceed with the ritual. Then you can run after your mate." Nadja said, motioning the humans forward with trays filled with glasses of blood. Nadja could see how much Lexon struggled through the trials. He looked exhausted. His skin was paler than ever, sickly, unlike his normal creamy pale tone. His eyes even looked dull, He was dirty, His clothes were torn, His body was battered and bruised, covered in dried blood and scabs. It looks like he went through hell, and he did. He felt like he was gone for weeks when time moves much slower inside the trials. It was a week for Lexon, but only 24 hours for everyone outside. A week of no food. A week of no blood. A week of hell, and the last two days of it, he was forced to watch everything that happened to his little mate

Third Person's POV Jace raced through the halls of the coven, ignoring the vampires that looked at him as he raced by. He slid to a stop inside the dining room, his eyes frantically darting around, confused. This isn't where he wanted to be. His breathing became erratic when he saw all the vampires looking at him. He whimpered as he watched several vampires stand, causing Jace to take a step back. As the two vampires took a step forward, Jace turned on his heels and took off running in the direction he came. His heart hammered in his chest as he ran down the hall as fast as he could. This time he turned right, and before he knew it, Jace saw the main entrance. Jace flung the door open and leaped off the porch, his feet never touching a single step. Not wanting to be naked in the middle of the woods, Jace stayed in human form, and let his human legs take him as fast as they could. Jace felt a sense of security once deep inside the woods. The woods were always comforting to him

His body melts against Lexon's as he grabs his hard shoulder, and wishes they would never stop kissing. Jace feels the warm water beating down on them, soaking his clothes, and causing them to cling to his body. Jace's left hand slides down Lexon's chest, feeling the rise and fall of his chest muscle before his hand slides down Lexon's side. Lexon groans when he feels his little wolf's hand against his body. He deepens the kiss, becoming more hungry, and wanting to taste more of his little wolf. His tongue runs along the roof of Jace's mouth, and over his teeth before sucking his lip in. Lexon's gums tingle and Jace takes a sharp breath in as one of Lexon's fangs pierce his lip. Lexon moans at the small taste of blood and sucks his little wolf's lip into his mouth. He runs his tongue over Jace's lip, licking the blood of

Third Person's POV Jace felt Lexon's lips against the inside of his thigh, and he whimpers at the sharp pain of Lexon's razor-sharp fangs piercing his thigh. But much quicker than before, the pain quickly fades and is replaced with a new one. Jace's mouth opens, and he moans as a wave of pleasure rolls through his body. Lexon grips Jace's thighs tighter, as the incredibly sweet blood quickly fills his mouth. Lexon moans against Jace's thigh. 'God, how can someone taste so incredible?' Every part of his little wolf is incredibly sweet, and he can't figure out which part of him tastes the best. Jace whimpers, and bucks his hips, searching for friction, and whimpers when he can't find any. Sweet blood filled Lexon's mouth as his finger slid between his little wolf's cheeks. He groaned when he felt how wet his little wolf was. His cock throbbed when he felt his little wolf's wetness. His finger circled his tight little hole before pressing in. He's once again amazed at how tight Jace

Third Person's POV Nadja tilts his head as he walks down the hall, watching Blake bob his head while moving his hands as if he's beating an invisible drum. Nadja shakes his head, thinking his son-in-law looks silly dancing as if there's music playing somewhere. "Blake!..." No response, Blake continues dancing, and beating his invisible drums as he walks down the hall. "Blake!..." Again, no response. 'What the hell?' Nadja picked up his pace, once he was close enough he reached out and tapped Blake on the shoulder. However, as soon as his hand touched Blake's shoulder, Blake jumped in the air, hitting the wall before falling on his ass. He looked up at Nadja, shocked with his hand over his chest. Blake watched Nadja's mouth move, but he couldn't hear anything, so he reached up and plucked his earbuds out. "Goddess old man, shit, you almost gave me a heart attack!" "What is wrong with you? Why couldn't you hear me?" Nadja asked, trying desperately not to laugh at the way Blak

Jimmy said, turning the knob before pushing the door open. "Thank goodness this place has an abundant supply of pillows!" Pushing the door open, Jimmy steps inside and his stomach drops when sees it's empty. "Charlie!" He said, barely above a whisper as he began to panic. Malaki leaned back, stretching his arms above his head, stretching his body out. He stood up, and looked around the office. The office he shares with his mate. He looks at the empty chair next to him and smiles when he sees the paper that has Gabriel's doodles all over it during his earlier phone conversation. Malaki lets his eyes roam the room, and they land on the wall that has pictures of Michael and his family on the day they became Alpha of River Pack. Malaki walks closer and looks at a young Michael. He looks at the picture above it and sees Michael's father on the day he became Alpha. My eyes go to his neck, and my heart beats faster when I see my mark. I let my fingers trail down his neck, and trace the outline of my mark before running my finger over it. I smile as I watch goosebumps spread across his body and he shivers, before his face immediately begins searching for me. His face pressed against my neck, and my heart swelled at the beautiful sound of his purr. I caress his back and he pulls his head back.
