Pularis's POV

Susan passed out in my arms under the effects of the drug I had her smell. Her clothes were practically in taters on her body, and blood dripped out of her injuries and mouth. With her out, at least she won’t be feeling any more pain from the illness she was clearly suffering. At the same time, however, with her slow healing, she may not make it regardless.

“You there! Take her to my mansion and get her patched up, at once!” I ordered one of my swiftest hunters.

“Yes, Alpha!” he nodded, taking Susan away.

I turned my attention over to the many rogues the rest of my hunters have apprehended. Some tried to escape, others tried to fight. Regardless of the resistance, it was all futile for them, for my people are much stronger than they.

“You… Who the hell are you?!” the bulkiest of the rogues- who I assume was the leader, whom I have bound in silver shackles- demanded.

“I see no point in giving away my identity to mere rogues like you lot,” I answered. “I must say, it was

It was already made clear that the father was nothing more than a fellow criminal of Susan’s. There was no way a criminal of any sort would have any of power against their Alpha or his men. So what could possibly have stopped them from doing this one simple job?“Even if you say that, sir, those wolves are not any ordinary werewolves,” a young Hunter answered, angering me greatly with that ridiculous response. “They-““I am aware they are no ordinary werewolves,” I interrupted, not wanting to hear another lame excuse from his mouth. “I don’t know what sort of crime they committed, and I don’t care. Well… ‘soreness’ was putting it lightly; a light twitch of my hand felt like a needle poked through it. I could even feel like something was poked into me, to put it lightly.‘What… happened?’ I wondered, trying to remember what happened as I willed my eyes to open.Soon enough, I finally regained enough strength to open my eye lids. My vision blurred as it got exposed to bright light, and slowly adjusted to the brightness. Once my vision has cleared up, I found myself in a familiar room, with a familiar young face sleeping by my bedside."Justin...?" I weakly called. He stirred from my voice and slowly woke. To say I was surprised with what the verdict came down to be would be an understatement. ‘Put the pack down’? What did he mean by that?“What do you mean ‘put this pack down’?” I asked.“Exactly as I say it,” Pularis answered. “Of course, we will still leave some people alive. People who truly had nothing to do with every wrong the Alpha and his followers committed, and were just as much of victims as you were under his control. Or lack thereof.”I was reminded of the changes and losses Pularis once mentioned before, back when he saved me from Duncan. ‘So those really were true?’ I wondered.“Adding those losses to having an affiliation to rogues? Werewolves made into outcasts after they made a crime too heinous to be redeemed, and are to be put down if seen committing a crime to another werewolf? What other fate is there for mutts who side with rogues in their crimes? A werewolf who helps rogues in their crimes may as well be a rogue himself. As such, deserves to be put down.”I was

If there was any time when Pularis had become frightening, I would most certainly say this was that very time. ‘Cruel’, rather, for him to think this far and be this thorough. While I did respect that he took his role and duties seriously, and will right all wrongs Duncan has committed as Alpha, seeing him take pleasure in that thought reminded me greatly of his infamous reputation.“I’m a little scared to ask, but what will happen after that? To the victims and the rest of Duncan’s opposers?” I asked.“They won’t be punished as the supporters would be, if that’s what you mean,” he answered, to my relief for the innocents. “If you mean how they would be compensated for the damages done to them, since this pack will cease to exist, the Alpha will undoubtedly lose his position one way or another, and thus will have no use for all those additional funds he has stored up. My voice was barely a whisper.Maria slapped me hard across the face, making my cheek sting. "Shut up," she growled. "You're lucky I'm just taking your food." Then, she picked up a handful of rocks from the floor and tossed them at my head.Just then, a little boy rushed up and stood in front of me.
