Chapter 192: Expansion In Disguise

IN an instant, Harvey's breath caught in his throat. The tendrils of terror gripped his body, paralyzing him as he stood frozen, acutely aware of the gun aimed at his back.

A voice, distinctly female, reached his ears. It was slightly familiar and he knew that he heard that somewhere before. Harvey strained to recall where he had heard that voice before, but his memory failed him.

"Who are you?" Harvey managed to ask, his voice trembling, hoping to divert the woman's attention momentarily and seize control of the situation by turning around and disarming her.

Yet, the woman remained one step ahead, sensing Harvey's intentions. She fixed her stance and ominously cocked the .45 caliber gun she held. The sound reverberated through the silent room, intensifying Harvey's fear.

"Don't even think about doing anything foolish. Who knows if I'll squeeze the trigger and end you right here?" The woman's words dripped with a chilling and menacing tone. "Why are you here?"
