A few hours later.

Clarice was sweeping the floor in the living room and kitchen when Demetria arrived, holding a box.

“I have a surprise for you, dear,” Demetria said, showing her the box.

Clarice's brows drew together, wondering what was in the box. “What’s that?” she asked curiously.

“It’s a camera. We will install one in the basement room so you can see and hear what your enemies are talking about,” Demetria explained.

Stunned, Clarice’s ears tingled. “Huh? Who did you kidnap this time?” she asked.

“Who else? Of course, it’s Kaspar and Aurelia,” Demetria replied.

Clarice’s heart beat faster in her rib cage. The thought of her enemies imprisoned in the basement filled her heart with anticipation. For a second she had a mixed reaction to it. “Are they already in the basement?” she asked.

Demetria smiled after seeing the reaction on Clarice’s face. “Are you excited to kill them?”

Clarice takes a deep breath. “I honestly don't know what to feel right now,” she answered, astounded.

I’m excited to go to the city and see other people,” she replied enthusiastically.Demetria smirked. “You will see a lot more today, both the good and the bad,” she said cryptically.Clarice’s brows furrowed. “Huh? What do you mean? I want to see the good only, not the bad,” she said, frowning.“You will know soon enough,” Demetria said. “On going to the city, what do you want to try this time? Teleportation or floating in the air in invisible mode?” she asked.“I like to go to the city, hovering in the air, not seen by others,” Clarice replied excitedly.“OK, your wish granted, dear,” Demetria responded with a smile. She waved her hand in the air, wielding her power, creating an invisible structure, enveloping them.Clarice felt the changes in the air. She poked her hand at the invisible jelly-like barrier surrounding them. “I can touch

Clarice glared at Demetria. "Are you pressuring me? Is this your way of forcing me to kill bad people by going after those kidnappers who abducted the missing children and women?"Demetria nodded her head. "Yeah. You have a reason to kill because you are going to save lives!""No, I'm not going to do it! I'm not some kind of superwoman that saves the weak and punishes the bad people. This is your scheme, not mine!" Clarice argued fiercely.Demetria sighed heavily, disappointed with Clarice's unwillingness to do the right thing. "Sometimes I really wonder if you are fit to be my successor? You are too stubborn, too difficult to convince, dear," she said in a frustrated tone.Clarice refused to be swayed. "Forget it! I'm not going anywhere today! Why don't you go and save them yourself?" she suggested indifferently, but deep inside she knew people's lives were in danger and only Demetria could save them."Where is the fun in that? We will go there and save them all. You and me," Demetri

"What's that awful smell?" Clarice's nose crinkled. She wanted to throw up. She quickly covered her nose with the hem of her blouse. “What the hell is this room about? Why are there so many drums? And the smell is terrible!” she complained as she saw two men wearing white masks on their faces. They are in the process of pouring liquid into the drums.“This is the elimination room where dead bodies are submerged in acid to hide evidence. Eliminating bodies this way is better than burying bodies in the ground,” Demetria explained.Clarice looked at the empty drum near her and was horrified to see the lifeless body of a ten-year-old girl inside. “Save the girl, Demetria!” she shouted urgently.“The girl is already dead. There's nothing we can do anymore. The police authorities will come after we are done here. I’ll make sure her body won’t be dissolved in acid,” Demetria said reassuringly. She opened her right hand, and a sharp knife appeared in her palm.“What are you doing?” Clarice as

The next day.Clarice woke up feeling lethargic. She didn't have a good sleep last night. Everything she saw inside that illegal harvesting facility turned her stomach upside down. No one should suffer the same fate!No one! Then she remembered the other victims cramped in the room. When the two women arrived at the sacred mountain, they placed the take-out food in the kitchen and then proceeded upstairs to the 3rd floor in Demetria’s forbidden place.“Are you ready for the next step?” Demetria asked.Clarice was scanning the room. The 3rd floor has its own living room and several other rooms.“When I’m gone, you are going to inherit this floor as well,” Demetria said casually.“Okay,” Clarice replied. “What is inside those rooms?” she asked, pointing to the closed doors.Demetria responded, “Each room has its function. I’ll explain them later, but the important thing is, you have to pass the test first. Let's see if the core will accept your blood...”Clarice gave Demetria a terrified look. “Does it hurt? What’s going to happen to me during blood testing?” she asked worriedly.Demetria smiled. “Don’t be afraid, dear. I will just make a tiny cut on your finger and let the core sip your blood. Let's see if it accepts your blood offering,” she explained.“And what

She decided to wake Clarice up so she could see the positive results with her own eyes. She placed her hand on Clarice’s head.Clarice opened her eyes and blinked several times. She looked at Demetria and asked, “Is it over? Did I pass the test?” she asked anxiously.“Yes, you passed the test with flying colors! See the core, it is currently flashing a red light!” Demetria answered jubilantly.Clarice looked up at the diamond and saw the flashing of red lights. Her heart rejoiced. Tears of happiness filled her eyes. “Thank you so much!” she said, crying silently. Her homecoming is getting closer now that she has passed the test. She will do anything to master her training quickly. She can’t wait to go home. The thought of going home filled her mind with renewed energy and enthusiasm. She got down from the table and looked at Demetria. “What’s next? I wan

Besides, the doors here are sealed tight, so it won’t open up with a single key. Nor can it be opened with anything heavy or blunt objects. The only way to enter the closed door is to make an invisible door through the wall and only people with supernatural powers like me can do it.”Clarice murmured. “Ah, okay, I got it.”“Let’s enter the room.” Demetria stepped into the recently opened door.Clarice followed Demetria inside. Together we will work hand in hand to preserve peace and unity for the welfare of all peace-loving creatures on this planet,” Clarice responded, her words laced with wisdom.“Yeah. Peace for all," Magnus agreed. "This moment calls for a celebration,” he added cheerily, clapping his hands, his gaze glued on the masked woman who deeply aroused his curiosity. The door opened. Women, wearing black attire, arrived, holding silver trays in their hands. The women put the wine glass filled with red liquid on the table. After finishing the task, the women left the room quietly.“Everyone, let’s drink this high-quality blood taken from teenage human boys and girls,” Magnus said, picking up his glass, and raising it. Are you scared of meeting other vampires?"“Yeah, honestly, I’m feeling anxious right now. I don’t know why,” Clarice said, dropping another slice of apple into her mouth.“You have killed humans before. I thought you had already been toughened by such an experience. And don't forget, you are more powerful than any vampire alive today, so no need to feel anxious,” Demetria said.“Humans have no power, but vampires are a different breed, and I’m not really used to fighting and dealing with difficult problems yet. That is why I’m a bit apprehensive that Magnus and the others will see through my facade,
