"Get him the best doctor—now!" Christopher said.

Melissa became nervous when she heard Leroy's name. "What happened to Leroy?!"

"He’s poisoned, and is in the operating room," Christopher told her truthfully.

"What?!" Melissa's voice rose, and her eyes widened.

She finally got the chance to meet her son after so many years, only to discover he was poisoned. The revelation was too much for her; her breathing turned unsteady, and she eventually fainted.
