Christopher was upset.

He didn’t know whether it was Melody who had changed, or whether he had never known her in the first place. After the divorce, she turned aggressive.

Melody tucked her hair behind her ears, smiling. "You’re right. Money is much more reliable than a cheating ex. Don’t tell me you want me to be obsessed with you instead."
