WHITNEY'S POV I woke up the following day after my encounter with Sophia. As I opened my eyes, I was surprised to see Alpha Vicker dressed in pajamas. He was sitting at the desk and was engrossed working on his laptop and there were piles of books and papers on the desk. I glanced at the wall clock. The time was 7:15 am. I wondered why he was still at home by this time because he was supposed to be preparing to go to the office. I stretched my body and let out a yawn which made Alpha Vicker turn his head to look at me. "Good morning, Sweetheart," I greeted him. "Good morning, my love. I hope you had a good night's sleep?" he asked with a smile. "Yes, I did. Thank you. Why are you not preparing to go to work?" I asked with curiosity. "I decided to stay at home today to be with my Luna," he replied. I was silent for a moment as I gazed at him with surprise. "Hmmm...May I know why you decided to stay at home with me today?" I asked. "It's because of the ordeal
LUTHER'S POV I was in my car driving. I just arrived in Nashville and was heading to Rico, my friend's house. Rico had earlier sent me the address of his house two weeks ago. I glanced at my wristwatch. The time was half past two. As I sped down the road, I recall the conversation I had with Jaya when I was leaving my house. Before I left the house, I called Jaya on the phone and told her to come to my room. By then, I had already packed my bag and it was on the floor beside the bed. I stood in front of the mirror and gazed at my reflection. I was dressed in a flannel shirt and a pair of blue jeans. I was wearing an 18-karat gold wristwatch and a pair of expensive brown Oxford shoes. "Yes, I'm ready for Whitney. I'm going to Nashville today and I will plot with Rico to take my son from Whitney. If she and her mate try to stop me from taking my son, I will send them to hell where they belong cos no mortal being can
LUTHER'S POV Rico and Stella, his mate, gave me a warm welcome in his house. His living room was of moderate size and sparsely furnished but cozy. It had a TV, a Home Theater, two ceiling fans, and a standing fan. There were four blue sofas, a blue rug at the center of the living room, and a glass table on it. The walls were painted white and the floor was made with ceramic tiles. Rico and I sat down facing each other and started chatting about various subjects including our High School days and the crimes we perpetrated together when he was still in Montgomery. After chatting for over an hour, I told Rico that I want to freshen up. He then called Lizzy, his maid to take me to the room. The maid emerged from the kitchen and walked up to us and my eyes swept over her. Lizzy was a blonde curvy girl and she was pretty with lovely sky-blue eyes. Judging by her appearance, she would be in her early twenties. She was wearing a pink flowery dress. I was instantly
LUTHER'S POV After some minutes of thinking about how tonight will be making love to Lizzy, I rose from the bed and walked to my suitcase. I opened the wardrobe and then opened the suitcase. I started taking the things from the suitcase and arranging them in the wardrobe. After I was done, I changed into pajamas, closed the wardrobe, and walked to the bed. I lay down staring at the ceiling as I thought about my son and Whitney. After some minutes, I started feeling drowsy and shortly after, I fell asleep. **************** I saw myself walking on a lonely road. I was wearing a black shirt and a black pair of trousers. On my feet were a pair of black boots. It was in the evening and the sun was just setting. A cool breeze was blowing as I walked down the road. Suddenly, I saw a lady in the distance holding a little boy and they were coming in the opposite direction. As I got closer to the lady, I suddenly realized that it was Whitney. She was wearing a red flamboy
WHITNEY'S POV I was in my room with my three kids. We were seated on the floor as they were playing with their toys scattered all over the floor. Alpha Vicker left for work a few minutes after seven. I glanced at the time. It was 10:30 am. I recall when I was lying on the bed and reading a novel when my three kids came to my room with their boxes of toys. I thought they would sit on the floor and be playing with their toys as they usually do, however, to my surprise, Jason and Shawn came to meet me and begged me to sit on the floor and play with them. Initially, I refused and they started crying. I promised to buy them ice cream and chocolates if they stop crying and go and play with their toys but they told me they don't want any of that and insisted that I must play with them. When I realized that they were serious, I decided to sit on the floor and play with them. My mind drifted to a couple of days ago when six of Alpha Vicker's warriors came to the house to guard it.
WHITNEY'S POV I was not afraid as I went down the stairs to meet Luther and the two warriors were following closely behind me, however, I was filled with anxiety. I got down the stairs and walked into the living room. I first saw the warriors standing on each side of the sofa Luther was sitting on. I averted my gaze to Luther and as I saw him, I stopped in my tracks. He was sitting majestically on the sofa. At that moment, he turned his head and looked at me. He let out a low gasp and jumped from his seat as we made eye contact. For some seconds, we stood gazing at each other. Seeing Luther after over six years, brought back a lot of forgotten horrible memories that flooded my head and I felt somewhat dizzy and my heart started racing. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves as my eyes swept over him. Luther's boyish face was gone and his physique had changed remarkably. He was now more muscular and huge. He had stubble on his cheeks and chin and a thin must
WHITNEY'S POV For some seconds Luther stared at me with shock as I glared at him. "What do you mean by do I want to die?" he asked with a mixture of anger and curiosity. "I'm sure you heard me clearly except you have suddenly become hard of hearing," I said with a stern voice. "Of course, I heard you clearly but I want to understand what you mean," he said. I was silent for a moment as I seethed in anger. "Since you don't understand, then, I will do you the favor of making you understand," I said. "Go ahead. I'm listening." "Luther Don, I promise you that you are going to die if you make any attempt to take my son from me," I said. "Hahaha...if I may ask, are you the one that is going to kill me, or Alpha Vicker, or your guards?" he asked with a smirk. "Any of us could kill you but I will make sure that I'm the one cos you have hurt me so badly and caused me untold pain and you have also hurt many people and committed a lot of atrocities, so, you don't deserve to live
LUTHER'S POV For some seconds, I was silent as I stared at Whitney with a mixture of bemusement and curiosity. I was bewildered because this was the second time Whitney would be threatening to kill me if I attempt to take Jason since we started talking. Even though I somewhat think it's an empty threat, I must admit that something in me tells me that she was serious. I recall when my mom and sister came to tell me that they dreamt that Whitney killed me. I also recall when Jaya told me that she had dreamt of me being killed by Whitney several times. I didn't believe any of the dreams and thought that they all conspired and fabricated the dreams to deter me from coming to Nashville. However, when I dreamt that Whitney killed me the first day I came to Nashville, I must say that I became troubled. However, the thought of going back to Montgomery without Jason and having to wait for Jaya to give me a son that might never come was driving me crazy and was unbearable hence
