TRISTAN'S POVDarkness covered the room like a canvas of black paint, I opened the window blinds letting the rays of the moonlight into the room, lighting it up a bit.A feeling of anxiety roamed the crooks and nannies of my mind, nibbling at it deeply, until I had a feeling nothing was left but fragments.I had tried many ways to get the thought of her out of my mind but just couldn't as it was preoccupied by the thoughts of the discussion I had with Aria earlier on. I paced the length of the room, my heart heaving lightly as I kept glancing at the watch on my wrist. It did occur to me that the decision doesn't necessarily have to be that day, but as you could guess my heart had more control over my mind. What heart wouldn't when a woman like Aria was involved.Still filled with anxiety, I walked toward the mahogany table that held a vintage scotch in one of its lockers.I rarely drink, but when I did, I did it in a grand way. Rich, well-brewed and smooth. I opened the case that he
ARIA'S POVMoon rays filtered into the room through the blinds that did their best to shut most part of the lights out.It settled on his gaze that was fixed to my heavy eyes. Sometimes I wonder why he was always at my rescue and now I knew it…I could see it in his eyes. He had deep feelings for me.I blinked .Swallowed. Made a little noise to hide my breathlessness as he walked close to where I was .It was a mere touch from his fingers yet it sparked fire inside of me, a fire that even Scott had never thought of starting.Sometimes I imagine in my head he knew what his touch did to me, but he did it anyway because he wanted to.It was just a means of telling me he could set my soul on fire and watch it burn down in flaming passion.Either way that’s just what he knew it to mean, not necessarily what I believed, right? Still, I couldn’t help the strong weight from forming between my mind and heart. The two appeared to have two different views of things. This attraction burned, a
**ARIA'S POV**“Aria! Aria!” I heard Tristan yell from outside.I was still on bed sleeping soundly, and I didn't even feel like getting up, I'm simply tired of everything and Tristan is pushing me too hard, everything is getting tiring, I don't even think I can continue with this training.“Aria!” Tristan called even louder, but I ignored him, I'm not getting out of this bed, I would rather not train today.“Let me be Tristan! Just go away, I want to avoid training today, and you're not going to make me!” I yelled.I turned on my bed and I used the pillow to block my ears.Soon, the door to my room was forcefully pushed opened and Tristan barged in.He walked to where I laid on the bed and forcefully pulled me up and made me get out of bed.“What are you doing!” I yelled in anger as I jerked my hand away from his.“Didn't you hear me, Tristan? I said I don't want to train, so don't even dare force me!” I said, breathing heavily.I was glaring dangerously at him, all the frustrations
**ARIA'S POV**I and Tristan both stood up from the floor, and I crouched down to Carl's level.“What do you mean, Carl? I don't understand,”“I said there's a girl I like mom, right here in our pack, she's so beautiful mom and I like her a lot,” Carl replied, laying emphasis on the word 'a lot'“She's a good friend mom and I trust her a lot, I trust her so much,”“Enough!” I snapped, startling both Carl and Tristan.“You're still so little, and you're here talking about this!”“ Mom,” Carl called in surprise.I could see his bottom lip trembling already, and the tears were already gathering in his eyes. I've never scolded him like this before and I know he was hurt, but I still need to warm him and make him see things.“You can't be talking about trust Carl, you shouldn't trust anyone else apart from I, Tristan and yourself, do you understand!” I said sternly.“You're young, and you know nothing, so just listen to me and forget all this, do you hear me?”Carl pushed my hands away, an

Tristan's p.o.v.She sighed continuously and her eyes were liquid with regret. I understood her past trauma had a thing to do with this. It was messing her and everyone close up.“I didn't mean to go about it like this honestly.”I gently covered her hand with my mine. “I know you didn't.”“I always mess things up. I doubt if I've ever being goodluck to anyone or men naturally hate me.”I squeezed her palm softly. “I can't speak for others but I do not hate you.”She scoffed. “Scott hated me. It was probably something I did. Right now, I'm sure Carl hates me too and you're only putting up with me.” She sniffed.“Carl is too young to process an emotion as lethal as hate.” “Maybe. Could we go on with practice? Maybe it would tear my mind off this.”“You don't need a distraction right now. Is this how you intend to run away from all your problems.”“Running away has always done it for me.” She shrugged and cleaned her eyes with the palm of her free hand.“So what do we rather do. Story
ARIA'S POV THE thought of marriage was shoved under the heavy weights of my thoughts and training with Tristan, both were stuck in my mind almost like a tug of war and since I had no way of separating the two, I let them live rent free in my memory. As the day dawned, I walked out to the field way before anyone joined in.I walked better on my reflexes and it was not until later that Tristan arrived, the shock of seeing me out so early was so glaring on his face it was something he couldn't hide."I must say I am surprised to see out so early without being called out." He chuckled. "Tell me did the moon goddess herself pull you out of bed?"I gave a little laugh of my own." Guess you are about to find out." I said stretching myself."Really, let's see about that then." Tristan said "Lest I forget, I don't want you holding back, treat me like I am the enemy.""Is that what you want?" My reply was to shadow box and give a kick mid air so my training started with Tristian kicking
**ARIA'S POV**"Let's begin!" Tristan said.I turned to face the side where the board has already been set, I raised up the gun and aimed it at the board. I took a deep breath in through my nose and let it out slowly; this was it. The moment that I would either have to hit something or get hit by something, and with every shot the chances of hitting something increases exponentially. With my aim steady on the board, I pulled the trigger, hitting the target."Awesome!" Tristan cheered.I screamed in excitement."Did you see that? I did it Tristan, I did it!" I laughed."You did well Aria, you did well, now try getting a few more shots," Tristan said and I nodded.I practiced using the gun again and I kept on hitting the target and when I've had enough, I stopped.I ran to Tristan and I hugged him in excitement.I suddenly realized what I've done and I broke the embrace.I cleared my throat in embarrassment "I'm sorry,""It's fine, you don't have to apologize," Tristan replied. He went
